At the hospital, Chan tells Ha-Ran that he will tell her everything in In Your Radiant Season episode 10. But he needs some time. It won’t take too long. He asks her to listen to his explanation at that time. But she worries that something will happen to him at that time. He comforts her that he will be fine. So he offers to go to see the cherry blossoms in spring. They will eat shaved ice in summer. They will see the autumn foliage in fall. He thinks it will be fun if they go skiing together in winter.
In the lobby, Ha-Ran bumps Su-Jin. Su-Jin picks up the pen for Ha-Ran. She tries to leave. Ha-Ran stops the doctor. She reminds her that her bracelet dropped. She picks up the bracelet. She thinks it belongs to her. Chan shows up. He waves at Ha-Ran. He sees Su-Jin at the same time. He walks to Ha-Ran. He tries to take her away. But she needs to return the bracelet to the doctor. He grabs the bracelet. But the bracelet is broken. Ha-Ran apologizes to Su-Jin. Ha-Ran and Chan try to pick up the bracelet. Su-Jin remembers Chan told her that he wanted to guard someone. He needed the memory at that time. Su-Jin tells the two that it’s fine. It occasionally cuts out. Because she has been wearing it for a long time. Chan puts the bracelet into Su-Jin’s hand. Ha-Ran wants to get the bracelet to be fixed. But Su-Jin tells the girl that it’s fine. She calls her name. Ha-Ran is surprised. Su-Jin explains it to Ha-Ran that her name was written on the pen. Chan and Ha-Ran leave the hospital. They take a cab. Ha-Ran asks Chan to let her know about it if he feels uncomfortable. He gets the driver to stop the car. Chan and Ha-Ran go for a walk on the street. She asks him to return home. But he says that he’s fine. He notices that she doesn’t believe his words, according to her expression. He offers to do 100 push-ups. She stops him when he tries to do it. She tells him that she believes him. He expresses that he will regret if he returns home in such a way. He asks her to give him the birthday present she prepared. He guesses it’s the cardigan she designed. She’s surprised. She wonders why he knew it. She mentions she prepared it without letting him know about it. But he thinks it was particularly obvious.
Ha-Ran asks Chan to wait for her for give minutes. She goes to buy a birthday cake. She sings birthday song for him when she holds the cake. He tries to blow out the candle. But she asks him to make a wish. He offers to make wishes together. He steals a glance at her when she closes her eyes. He blows out the candle. She wants to know his wish. He claims that it’s a secret. It cannot be done if he speaks it out. She hands over the present to him. She allows him to see the present. He checks the cardigan. He sees his name on the cardigan. He expresses that he didn’t know it. She feels relieved after knowing he didn’t discover it. He tells people loudly that she wished him a happy birthday. She thinks he’s mad. But she’s very happy.
Chan tells Ha-Ran that he will wear the cardigan all year. He will wear it when he sleeps. She reveals she wanted to prepare more for him. She feels it was a shame. He offers to have a date tomorrow. They will go to watch a movie, eating and holding hands. Walking on the beautiful road when they chat. They need to do something that others are doing. But she persuades him to take a break. She worries about him. He threatens her that he will do 100 push-ups again. She has to give in. She agrees to have a date. She promises him that she will prepare more thorough on his birthday next year. She decides to use him all her life. She asks him not to be sick when she strokes his head. He hugs her. He tells her that all he can think about is her. So the shard won’t affect him.
Na-Na and Man-Jae arrive Shim Coffee House. Na-Na wakes up in the car. She’s surprised that she’s there. He asks her to get off the car. In the coffee house, Man-Jae blames Na-Na for her hiding. She tells him that she wants to stay with the kids. He wants to stay with him as well. But she worries that she will forget it all. She cries. He hugs her. He tells her that it’s fine. He comforts her that he won’t let her alone.
At the hospital, Su-Jin tries to fix the bracelet. But it lacks the last bead. Ha-Ran picks up the bead in her room. She remembers the bead rolled into her bag. She wants to return it to Su-Jin. She remembers the doctor told her that the shard is still in Chan’s brain. She sighs.
Chan lies in the bed. He remembers Su-Jin called Ha-Ran’s name. He takes a look at the cafe. He remembers Ha-Ran asked him about his wish. He wished he would continue to stay with her.
The next day, Ha-Young walks into Ha-Ran’s room. She notices that Ha-Ran is studying the skull photo. She mistakes that she’s going to attend medical school. Ha-Ran claims that she just looked something up. She closes her laptop. She’s told that Na-Na is sleeping. Ha-Young reveals Na-Na did it for the first time. Ha-Ran thinks Na-Na was tired. She notices the books Ha-Young took. Ha-Young says that she wants to work hard. She asks Ha-Ran about the book of pigments. It wasn’t in Na-Na’s study. Ha-Ran guesses it was in the attic. She notices that Ha-Young cried. Ha-Young says that she didn’t cry. She claims that it’s the mark that she didn’t sleep well.
Ha-Ran helps Ha-Young find the book in the attic. Ha-Young leaves. Ha-Ran looks around the attic. She remembers Chan told her that he thought she could overcome it. She cleans out the attic. She tells Ha-Young that she’s going to get ready for spring cleaning. But Ha-Young reminds her sister that it’s winter. Ha-Ran insists on thinking that it’s spring. She smiles at Ha-Young. She finds a letter that was sent by Hyeok-Chan. She reads the letter. He tells her that his roommate’s name is Chan as well. But he couldn’t get along with the guy. Because the guy withdrew into himself. Ha-Ran receives a message from Chan. He tells her that he has booked the movie tickets.
At Shim Coffee House, Chan tells Man-Jae that he will come home later. Man-Jae notices the tablet Chan is holding. He asks him to have a talk with Ha-Ran well. He thinks the girl will understand it if he’s sincere to make it clear to her.
At the movie theater, Chan asks Ha-Ran if she’s free after they watch the movie. He wants to tell something to her. She agrees. Because she knows what he’s going to say. He notices that he didn’t take another bowl of popcorn. He goes to take the popcorn.
Chan gets the popcorn. But the fire alarm goes off. He worries about Ha-Ran. Because the girl got into the theater. He throws away the popcorn. He goes upstairs. He calls Ha-Ran. His ear rings. He remember something in the lab. Ha-Ran looks for Chan. She remembers the guy told her that he would feel uncomfortable in noisy places. She bumps a girl. She finds Chan. She asks him where he went. She reveals she walked out but she didn’t see him. So she got into it again to look for him. He feels relieved after knowing she’s fine. He passes out. He hugs her. She asks him to go to the hospital immediately.
Ha-Ran returns home. She hugs Na-Na. She tells her that there’s something in Chan’s brain. She doesn’t know what to do if something bad happens to the guy. Na-Na remembers Chan told her that he wasn’t suitable for Ha-Ran. She comforts Ha-Ran that the guy just didn’t dare to tell her. Because he was scared. He didn’t wish his suffering would put a burden on her. He worried that she would suffer. He wanted to guard her. But Ha-Ran says that she wants to guard Chan. She doesn’t want him to take on. But she can do nothing for him. Na-Na asks Ha-Ran to accompany Chan. She thinks the guy won’t fall down easily even if there’s only one person that he can rely on. She believes that Ha-Ran will find a way.
Chan is in his room. He wonders what Su-Jin was trying to hide. He receives a message from Ha-Ran. She asks him not to do anything tomorrow. She asks him to rest well. She will accompany him.
The next day, Yoo-Gyum is in the ward at the hospital. He talks with Man-Jae over the phone. He wonders when he will tell it to Ha-Dam and the sisters. Ha-Dam shows up. Yoo-Gyum pretends to talk with his father. She wants to say hello to his father. But he hangs up. She gives him the pumpkin porridge. She tells him that it can reduce inflammation. She asks him to try his best to eat it. He tells her that he likes her very much. He thinks he didn’t break down because of him. He promises her that he will guard her if she faces the moment. He won’t let her break down. She smiles. She agrees. But she thinks it won’t happen. She believes that she will only be happy after he recovers.
At Nana Kim Atelier, Ha-Young runs into Tae-Suk. She reveals Cha Min was nearby. He notices the pigments on her fingers. She walks away. She feels even more awkward after she talked nonsense. Man-Jae brings the fresh coffee to the office when Ha-Ran is having meeting with the colleagues. Ha-Ran wonders why he came. He reveals he received new coffee beans. So he delivered it to the regular customers. Jeremy wants to take the coffee. He claims that it’s his style. But Man-Jae stops the guy. He tells him that the coffee has an owner.
Ha-Ran and Man-Jae walk in the hallway. Ha-Ran knows Man-Jae did it for preparing coffee for Na-Na. She reveals her grandma was excited before she went to her hometown. She asks him if Chan is fine. She intended not to contact the guy. Because she didn’t want to disturb him. It promotes Man-Jae to wonder if something happened. Ha-Ran says that Chan felt uncomfortable. But he didn’t tell it to her. Man-Jae promises Ha-Ran that Chan won’t conceal anything when he needs to speak it out. He asks her to trust Chan. She nods.
Na-Na drinks coffee with Man-Jae in her office. She thinks he wasn’t startled because she was flustered like a kid. She comforts him that she has a perfect plan. He guesses she planned to disappear alone. He knows she’s going to go for a checkup. He asks her to take him. She’s surprised that he knew the checkup date. He tells her that he met Yoo-Gyum. The guy told him about the necklace, and the case that only he knew. Na-Na claims that she’s not a kid. She thinks she can go to hospital alone. But Man-Jae asks her not to pretend to be tough in front of him. He mentions what he said that he wouldn’t abandon her. He mentions she had no one to rely on. She always played a guardian. He wants to guard her. He asks her to rely on him.
Ha-Ran returns to her office. She sees the papers on the desk. She receives a message from Na-Na. Na-Na asks Ha-Ran to complete it for her. Ha-Ran calls Na-Na. But Na-Na asks the girl to complete it today. Ha-Ran tries to tell her grandma that she cannot do it. But Na-Na hangs up.
At Shim Coffee House, Chan goes downstairs. He finds out that Man-Jae isn’t there. He asks Genius if he knows where the old man went. At Nana Kim Atelier, Ha-Young walks into Na-Na’s office. She doesn’t see Na-Na. She figures it out that she went out for a meeting. She finds the nursing home’s phone number Na-Na left. She calls the nursing home.
Ha-Young walks into Ha-Ran’s office. She cries to tell Ha-Ran that Na-Na needs to live in the nursing home. Ha-Dam arrives. She thinks her sisters were kidding. She doesn’t believe her grandma needs to go to the place. Ha-Ran tells Ha-Dam that Na-Na planned to leave quietly. Ha-Young reveals their grandma had prepared it not long ago. She opens the closet. She takes outs the letters. She hands over the letter to Ha-Ran and Ha-Dam. The letter was written by Na-Na. She pretends that she went to Paris. She asks her granddaughters not to visit her. She prepared the wedding dresses for them.
The three girls read the letter together. Ha-Young wonders where Na-Na is. She worries that she has left. Ha-Dam discovers the note Na-Na left. She’s told that it’s related to Yoo-Gyum. She remembers the guy concealed many things about her grandma from her. She calls him. She yells at him. She wants to know where her grandma is.
The three girls arrive at the hospital after knowing Na-Na went for a checkup. They see their grandma with Man-Jae. They remember they were mean to Na-Na. Na-Na sees the three girls. They run to her. They give her a hug.
Ha-Dam is furious to break into Yoo-Gyum’s ward. He feels sorry for not telling her grandma’s condition to her. She gives him a hug. She thanks him. She remembers Man-Jae told her that Yoo-Gyum had taken care of her grandma. Her grandma would go missing even it wasn’t the guy’s necklace.
Tae-Suk runs to the hospital. He sees Ha-Young. He explains it to her that he didn’t know it. She wonders why he didn’t know. She mentions what he said that Na-Na was his benefactor. He said that he would take care of Na-Na all his life. He apologizes to her. She asks him to pretend not to hear what she said. Because she wants to tell the words to herself. She knows it wasn’t his fault. She walks away.
In the evening, Chan calls Man-Jae. He’s told that the old man is at the hospital. He asks him about Ha-Ran. In the doctor’s office, the doctor tells Na-Na that she has hydrocephalus. She needs to operate on her. Ha-Young goes to pay the bill. But she’s told that a guy did it. She realizes that it was Tae-Suk. She stops him in the lobby. But he bows to her. He leaves the hospital.
In the ward, Na-Na orders Yoo-Gyum to go back to take care of himself. She asks Ha-Dam to accompany her boyfriend. She threatens Ha-Ran and Ha-Young that she will kick them out of the company if they make any mistakes at the company. She asks them to focus on the work. She doesn’t want them to come to the hospital. Man-Jae claims that he will in charge of the place today. Ha-Ran reminds him that he has a coffee house. But he wants to take some days off. Ha-Dam wonders where Tae-Suk went. She saw him in the hallway.
Chan arrives at the hospital. He runs into Ha-Ran in the lobby. He hugs her. He apologizes to her for his late. She asks him why he came to the hospital. He reveals he knew it from Man-Jae. He comforts her that her grandma’s surgery will go smoothly. He believes that Na-Na will overcome it. So she doesn’t have to be afraid of it. She asks him to go to buy her a cup of coffee. He takes off his clothes. He puts it on her. He walks away.
Su-Jin walks to Ha-Ran. She greets her. Ha-Ran explains it to Su-Jin that she’s there because her grandma is in the hospital. She brings up that she took away the bead on her bracelet by mistake. She will return it to her when she visits her grandma tomorrow. Su-Jin asks Ha-Ran if the man who was with her is her boyfriend. Ha-Ran admits it. Su-Jin thinks Ha-Ran and the man are match for each other. She tells her that the man reminded her a person she knew.
Ha-Ran notices that Su-Jin is a neurologist. She asks her to take care of her grandma. But Su-Jin reveals she came from Boston. Chan returns. Su-Jin leaves. Ha-Ran gets a call from Man-Jae. She tells Chan that her grandma wants to see him.
Chan meets Na-Na in the ward. She asks him about his head. She wants to know if he’s fine. He promises her that he will make himself be fine for Ha-Ran. She reminds him that her granddaughter loves him very much. Chan leaves Na-Na’s ward. He goes to see Su-Jin. She realizes that the one he wants to guard is Ha-Ran. She wonders if the girl knows he was Hyeok-Chan’s roommate. She mentions Hyeok-Chan is dead but he’s alive. But he wants to guard Hyeok-Chan’s ex-girlfriend. She thinks it’s funny. She wonders when it began. She guesses he thought Hyeok-Chan’s death was a good chance. He persuades her not to say so. Because Ha-Ran is facing a difficult ordeal. He asks her not to go to touch those wounds. But she needs a reason not to do that. He mentions she was in the lab when Hyeok-Chan knocked over the waste liquid container. He asks her to tell him the truth. But she asks him to tell Ha-Ran the truth first that he was a fake. She will consider it if he does it. She threatens him that she doesn’t know what she will tell Ha-Ran if he provokes her.
The next day, Chan is in his room. He wakes up from the nightmare. He realizes that he told the truth to Hyeok-Chan. He brings the coffee to the colleagues at Nana Kim Atelier. But Ha-Ran isn’t at the company. He’s told that the girl went to return the bracelet to someone. Chan goes to the hospital. He worries that Su-Jin will tell something to Ha-Ran. But Ha-Ran isn’t at the hospital.
