AJ returns home in Not Suitable for Work episode 5. Abby tells AJ a big news that she’s going to style Austin for the Albies. AJ is happy to give Abby a hug. But Abby notices that her friend is so sweaty. She guesses she missed a shoe. AJ says that she ran all the way home from work. She just kissed her boss and he kissed her back.
Fisher Trashen

Abby pours AJ a drink. She wants to know what happened. As Abby’s horny friend, AJ shouldn’t leave out any details. AJ says that it was so hot, but also restrained. Which made it even more hot. He has these soft lips and just a hint of stubble, and his hands were on her waist. Abby guesses AJ did it with the man on his desk. She asks AJ if she pushed all the papers onto the floor. She has always wanted to do that.
But AJ says that Bill doesn’t have anything on his desk. His aesthetic is more minimalist. Abby asks AJ if she slept with her boss. AJ denies it. She thinks it was all huge mistake. She cannot sleep with a colleague, let alone her boss. But Abby wants to sleep with the guy. He’s so hot. She asks AJ what she will do. AJ plans to pretend nothing happened until they both forget it.
The next day, Kel is standing in line on the street. He’s recognized by the guy. The guy knows Kel is the jaw surgery guy. Kel laughs. He says that it was just a one-off thing. He’s more focused on acting. He’s told that he needs to wait 12 hours for a chance. Because he doesn’t have an agent. The girl shows up. She tells those guys that spots have been filled. They can go home.
Davis, Josh and Kel walk on the street. Davis asks Kel if he’s fine. He mentions he didn’t order breakfast. Kel reveals he had a donut with his future self. Davis throws away the apple. He asks Josh for the extra sandwich. But Josh refuses to give the sandwich to Davis. Because it’s for Paula. He needs to girl to like him. Kel asks Josh why he cares what his mean boss thinks. He mentions Wes already loves him. Josh says that the guy loves him because of his last name. But Paula can make him better at his job. He has tried everything to win her over. He’s always the last one to leave. But Paula asked him to have his male loneliness epidemic somewhere else. He always replaces her lunch order so it looks very nice.
He thinks he’s one thoughtful gesture away from becoming a respected subordinate. Kel complains it to Josh that the cattle calls are killing him. He needs an agent to get a role so that his parents will be happy with it. Davis tells Kel that networking is very important. Kel doesn’t know what to do. He doesn’t have a network. Davis reveals he went to a nail salon to get a network.
At the network, Josh walks into Paula’s office. He brings a breakfast sandwich to her. But she thinks the breakfast is cold and wet. She asks him if he found it on the ground. Wes shows up. He wants to replace his new hair woman. He complains that Cynthia talks about her stepkids. He wonders if it’s so hard to put his hair system on in silence. He asks Paula to set up some interviews for tomorrow. She brings a bad news to him that she has her annual endocrinologist appointment tomorrow. He doesn’t need to hear the details of her woman problems. She talks back that diabetes isn’t a woman problem. Nobody hates missing work more than she does. He wants to meet the replacements on Monday. He asks her to call the references. He wants to know how the replacements yap.
At Vanessa’s company, Abby tells Vanessa that she finished resteaming the sweater for the third time. She asks for a talk. She flatters her that she’s a legendary stylist. But Vanessa doesn’t listen to Abby. She’s making a tribute video for her cat Azzedine’s memorial service. Abby learns that her boss is going to have a memorial service for her cat. Vanessa tells Abby that only close friends can attend the funeral. The church can only hold so many people. But her cat deserves it. He was so special.
Vanessa shows Abby the cat’s photo. Abby remembers the cat was sweet. But Vanessa tells Abby that the guy was psychotic. But he was her best friend. Abby tells Vanessa that she needs someone to cheer her up. Vanessa mentions Abby said that she’s a great stylist. She asks her to write the cat’s eulogy for her, and then overnight his ashes to the cloning lab.
At the network, Josh decides to ask his father David something before he and Elena go to Sweetgreen. He takes her into the office. She looks around. She thinks the view is great. She finds out that his father knows many celebrities when she sees the photos on the wall. But there’s a photo missing.
Davis shows up. He shakes hands with Elena. Josh asks Davis to help him get a doctor’s appointment tomorrow. It’s for his boss Paula. She couldn’t find an endocrinologist in the city. David promises his son that he will have his assistant Martinez set it up with Doctor Chen. Josh tries to take his girlfriend out of the office. But Elena stops. She heard David’s interview with Terry Gross, and she thought he made great points about media consolidation. He’s surprised. He reveals he got a lot of blowback after the interview.
Josh and Elena leave David’s office. He apologizes to her for letting her meet his father in the weird way. She learns that he talked to his father about her. He reveals he just said that he works with a really annoying girl, and her only redeeming quality is that she’s pretty cute. She understands what he said. She thinks he should go to date the 90 years old woman. But he says that he could never get the lady. She asks him out after she witnessed his father’s power.
In the investment banking, Bill asks his employees not to use shades of green for all the pitch books. He orders them to fix it. AJ gets a call from Abby. Abby asks AJ about her boss. AJ takes a look at the guy who’s working in his office. She complains it to Abby that the guy ignored her. It’s so normal, it’s also so maybe hurtful. She wonders if the thing happened. Abby persuades AJ that it’s too soon to question reality. It’s been less than a day.
Davis finds out that he’s on Fisher Trashen. It’s an Instagram account. They post dirt about Fisher Stassen employees. Once a month, they post a worse offender. The girl discovers that someone submitted Davis. Davis knows who did it. AJ asks Davis what he did. He says that he tried to be a gentleman. He slept with the analyst named Madison a couple of times. When it ran its course, he took her to a very classy omakase meal, and he told her that he wants to end the relationship.
AJ thinks it’s the ideal way to get dumped. But people are going to think that Davis is a bad guy. Davis tells his goddess that he’s not a bad guy. He’s romantic, like Hugh Grant in Notting Hill, or Ryan Gosling in The Notebook. He thinks Jocelyn must know he treats women well. He asks Dileep to go to talk to Madison for him. She blocked him. But Dileep says that he stays out of the drama. It’s not his business. But Davis needs Madison to take it down. He asks Jocelyn a favor. She refuses to help him. Because he was rude to her. AJ volunteers to do it. She claims that she’s a girls’ girl. She needs to use a distraction.
At Austin’s house, Abby styles Austin. She tells him that he should remember to keep his poses simple on the red carpet. But he doesn’t know what to do with his hands. She suggests that he shouldn’t use thumbs. She’s going to go write a cat eulogy.
In the investment banking, AJ waits for Madison in the restroom. Madison mistakes that AJ wants to buy a Ritalin from her. But AJ tells Madison that she wants to talk to her about Davis. They guy is her friend. She knows she put him on Fisher Trashen. She knows men can be so frustrating sometimes. But she hoped that they could have a talk, like woman to woman. She believes that she can take it down. Madison asks AJ why she would do that. AJ thinks Madison still has feelings for Davis. She suggests that she shouldn’t flame a guy for dumping her after a fling.
But Madison thinks it wasn’t a fling. She reveals they dated for three months after Davis pursued her for a year. They adopted a dog together. He said that it was practice for their future. She owns a mastiff named Post Malone.
Kel visits Abby when she’s working. She’s writing a cat eulogy. He mentions he left med school to become an unemployed actor with no prospects. He wishes Austin could give him advice on how to get an agent. He knows the guy is super busy. He probably gets requests like this all the time. Kel doesn’t want to put Abby out. He tells her that she can forget it. But she texts Austin immediately.
Josh and Elena return home in the evening after they went to the Museum of Natural History. He complains it to her about Wes. But she has taken off her clothes. They have a kiss.
The next day at Abby’s house, Abby and AJ watch the video that the guy praises Austin. AJ is excited. She doesn’t know the guy. But she thinks it’s a huge case. Abby tells AJ that Blakely Thornton is a social tastemaker. He’s like fashion Jerome Powell. Abby decides to leave Vanessa. She will let the boss know about it tomorrow. She asks AJ about the progress of her and Bill. AJ complains that she doesn’t know what the guy is thinking. It drives her crazy.
At the network, Josh gets in Wes’s office when Wes is having meeting with Paula. He mentions Paula has a problem to get a doctor. He helped her get an appointment today with Manhattan’s top endocrinologist. Paula thinks Josh is a good person. But her insurance won’t cover it. He tells her that someone will pay the bill. It’s his father. She thinks it’s too much. She’s not sure that it’s appropriate. Wes suggests that she should take it.
Kel finds Austin at the cafe. Austin mistakes Kel for a fan. He tells him that he doesn’t do any pictures. Kel tells Austin that he’s Abby’s friend. He asks him how he got an agent. Kel was looking at some acting classes before he came. Austin laughs. He tells Kel that it’s for losers. It makes Kel wonder what Austin did. Austin reveals he got kicked out of school from never going. So his mother sent him to live with Auntie Cate. Auntie Cate put him in a movie.
Austin tells Kel that he can introduce him to his agent. But he asks him to help him as well. He needs him to hype him up to Abby. Ever since they started working together, he has really fallen for the girl. She’s beautiful and she’s smart. Kel admits that Abby is really talented. She wants to keep things professional. But Austin thinks if Kel can put in a good word, Abby will see him as more. Kel doesn’t understand why he was chosen. Austin tells Kel that Abby respects him. He asks him to persuade the girl to date him.
In the investment banking, Madison and AJ visit Davis in the office. AJ asks the guy if he hired an NYU a cappella group to serenade Madison with “Take on Me”. He admits it. He loves The Cleftomaniacs. They make magic through music. Madison brings up that he said that he was falling so hard, it scared him. AJ asks him if he suggested adopting a dog together. He explains it to her that he did it because the dog was cute. He never told Madison why he wanted to break up. He just said he wasn’t feeling it anymore.
Davis tells Madison that he won’t apologize for an adult relationship that ended. He asks Dileep to go get matcha with him. But Dileep rejects it. He has so much work.
At the network, Paula walks into the room. She blames Josh for ruining her one day off a year. He talks back that she told Wes she hates taking time off for her appointment. She confesses it to him that she lied. There’s no doctor’s appointment. She doesn’t have diabetes.
In the investment banking, AJ receives a message from Davis. He asks for a meeting outside at the big bench. She finds him at the bench. She asks him what he did it. It’s so psycho. He explains it to her that he thought Madison was pretty and nice when he met her. So he pursued her really hard. But he wanted to break up after he got the girl. He realizes that he’s a bad person. He wants to apologize to Madison.
In the evening. Josh, Kel and Davis drink at their house. Kel doesn’t want to help Austin get Abby. He worries that the girl will forget him if he does that. Josh tells Kel that it doesn’t matter. Because Kel will be a star. He will have many girls. Abby isn’t special anymore at that time.
Abby visits Vanessa. She wants to have a talk with her. But Vanessa knows Abby styled Austin. Abby apologizes to Vanessa. She claims that she didn’t intend to steal a client. But Vanessa knows people do it. She doesn’t expect Abby would do that. It’s fine. She forgives her. Abby thanks Vanessa for everything she did for her. She leaves her place.
Kel visits Abby. He wants to thank her for setting up the meeting for him and Austin. She thinks it isn’t a big deal. She wants to know the result. He tries to tell her that Austin is a good man. But he doesn’t speak out the words. She believes that he will find other ways even if he failed.

Kel returns to his house. Davis is waiting for Kel. He knows Kel couldn’t do it. Love always wins. AJ comes home. Bill is waiting for her. She’s surprised after she saw the guy. He tells her that he has a standing reservation at Royal Bangladesh. He was kidding. He wants to talk about the other night. She thinks they’re colleagues. What happened was a mistake. But he doesn’t think it was a mistake. He thinks they were stupid to do it at work. He kisses her and he takes her away.
