In Sales Department 2, the auditor tells Department Head Choi that they will punish them if they don’t give all the files to them. In the meeting room, Hae-Joo learns that she, Eun-Tae and Hyang-Eun have to read the files all.

In the cafeteria, Ji-Hye eats with Jun-Ho and Gi-Tae. She worries that Eun-Tae and Hyang-Eun didn’t eat. Jun-Ho tells Ji-Hye that the two will eat better. Gi-Tae asks Jun-Ho what will happen to Sales Department 2. Jun-Ho knows someone reported. Those guys will get nothing. Gi-Tae wishes they won’t find anything. It’s the best outcome. They’re a family. She wishes nobody gets hurt.

Jun-Ho points out that Eun-Tae and Hyang-Eun will suffer if they cannot find anything. He wishes the two only find a minor mistake. So everyone only suffers some minor injuries. Ji-Hye wants to lend a hand. He tells her that she should pray that God will help. So they can retreat without being hurt.

In the conference room, Eun-Tae and Hyang-Eun meet Jong-Hyun. Eun-Tae read the contracts that Jong-Hyun signed with them. It’s written Profit Margin is 70 percent. Consider the reputation and influence of the brand overseas. The conditions are much better than average. He asks him to describe how they negotiated at that time.

Hae-Joo reads the papers. She thinks the profit margin is too low. Sales Department 1 imports foreign brands. Sales Department 2 exports domestic brands. But the profit margin is almost the same. Domestic brands aren’t very well known overseas. Sales Department 2 should have higher profit margin.

Eun-Tae guesses they have a private agreement. The contract is written 70 percent. But actually, it’s 75 percent. Someone embezzled 5 percent.

Jong-Hyun claims that although their brand influence has waned, they reached the sales of 50 billion with a single brand. Their brand awareness is rising in Asia. He doesn’t think they took it too much. Hyang-Eun asks the guy does he take the contract? He takes out the contract, and he puts it on the table.

Hyang-Eun thinks the guy won’t admit it. His contract is the same as theirs. Hae-Joo says they won’t find anything unless they audit. Hyang-Eun points out that they won’t find anything even if they do it. Because they set it up so that business expenses don’t require receipts. They paid in cash. Eun-Tae offers to use a lawsuit to apply pressure.

Hyang-Eun tells Jong-Hyun that they suspect that he paid kickbacks under the table. He laughs. He says there’s no any kickbacks. She tells him that they can settle it privately if he admits. They punish insiders, and they do it on their own. If he doesn’t admit, they have to sue him. He points out that she doesn’t have any evidence. The prosecutor won’t investigate it without any evidence. She says they have circumstantial evidence. The employee felt guilty, and he reported it.

He lets her sue him. He threatens her that Hongsung needs to take the duty if they cannot find anything. Eun-Tae claims that they have the ability to take action. He thinks Jong-Hyun spoke with utter impudence. Jong-Hyun asks Eun-Tae is it the price that they work with Hongsung? They shouldn’t treat him as a criminal.

Hae-Joo thinks it’s enough that they warn the guy. The guy will play it safe. But Eun-Tae says they cannot do it this time. The audit was given by In-Mok. The entire board of directors is watching it. In any case, they should have a result. Hae-Joo asks Eun-Tae to help her look for evidence.

Hyang-Eun discovers that Jong-Hyun let Hongsung pay shipping costs. Eun-Tae asks Jong-Hyun to explain it. Jong-Hyun claims that it depends on the content of the agreement. Eun-Tae disagrees. Brand agent doesn’t need to pay shipping costs. It’s contained in the margin profit. Jong-Hyun says they agreed. Department Head Choi is just that thoughtful. Jong-Hyun asks Eun-Tae to go to ask Department Head Choi about it. But Eun-Tae says they have done it.

Hyang-Eun gives Jong-Hyun the bank statements for the freight company. It’s a Sole Proprietorship so that it’s free to handle the transaction. The owner has admitted that he received payments from both companies. He laundered money with the name of salaries. He repaid the money to them.

Jong-Hyun learns that Hyang-Eun and Eun-Tae knew everything from the very beginning. He asks them why did they force him to lie? Eun-Tae tells the guy that they gave him the chance. He missed the chance on his own. Jong-Hyun is furious to leave the conference room.

In In-Mok’s office, In-Mok asks Eun-Tae about the shipping costs. Eun-Tae says the shipping costs are 2 percent of the total invoice amount. In-Mok learns that Department Head Choi received the money, but he didn’t embezzle it. He shared some with the brand. Department Head Choi apologizes to In-Mok. In-Mok points out that Department Head Choi wouldn’t do that if he felt sorry.

Eun-Tae tells In-Mok that he suspects there was a private agreement except the shipping costs. Because the other party’s profit margin is too high. In-Mok asks Department Head Choi to admit what he did, and give the money back. Then he should resign. Department Head Choi promises In-Mok that he will cooperate with the audit team. In-Mok tells Hyun-Sook that he will let her be in charge of Sales Department 2. She says she doesn’t have any problems.

In the park, Hyun-Sook meets Department Head Choi. She brings up that they used to sit here all the time. He says their existence makes other employees feel very uncomfortable. She says everyone talks about them behind them. She asks him about his plans. He says he doesn’t dare to start a business. So he wants to look for a good job. But he thinks nobody wants the troublemaker like him. She thinks it’s too late that he regrets it. She understands it. She thinks she would do it as well.

A grand title that’s all show will only increase expenses. People will look, so he needs to go to a decent place. But it cannot be too extravagant either. Other department heads are living in luxury houses and driving famous cars. But he’s still struggling to make his mortgage payments. He will begin to want more at this time. Seeing others embezzle public funds, he will think only honest people end up getting the short end of the stick. He just accepts kickbacks from others in the beginning. He eats the shipping costs in the end. Depravity doesn’t need too many reasons.

He’s at a loss for words. She tells him that she called him here not to lecture. He thinks it’s right that he should be scolded. If he’s still her subordinate, it wouldn’t happen. She asks him does he know the feeling as a parent that her child made a mistake? The child should take duty for what he did. Even if he made a mistake, she still loves her child. She wants to drink a coffee with him like they did. She asks him to let her know about it after he makes the decision.

In the office, Eun-Tae tells Jun-Ho that the audit team will be in charge of wrapping things up. Jun-Ho says those guys forgot Ji-Hye’s present again.

Eun-Tae walks into Kyung-Chul’s office. He gives Kyung-Chul the proposal that Team 4 offered. Without the team leader, Jung-Hyun has a lot of work. He cannot handle it. Kyung-Chul thinks they should do things one by one. In addition to his regular job, he needs to deal with the cases of Sales Department 2. He reads the proposal. He figures those guys want to do a business that takes a cut. Eun-Tae says although the profit is low, the risk is low as well. He thinks it’s a good long-term plan.

The plan was offered by Jung-Hyun. Eun-Tae doesn’t know if it was the guy’s idea. Kyung-Chul summons Jung-Hyun into his office. Jung-Hyun confesses it to Kyung-Chul that it was Seon-Hyuk’s idea. Kyung-Chul can tell that Jung-Hyun put a lot of effort into his first plan. He tells the guy that not anyone can do the business without any profit. First, they have to hang in there until they begin to earn money. Even if the industry is in a slump, nobody will earn money from a business that doesn’t turn a profit.

Kyung-Chul asks Eun-Tae to go to look into if they do business with Seon-Hyuk’s company. They must have signed a contract with high profit margins. That’s where the real money is. They do the hard job. Seon-Hyuk takes the profit margins all.

Kyung-Chul tells Jung-Hyun that the dish he cooked isn’t bad. But the ingredients are all rotten. He asks him to take another plan to him. He really appreciates those details. So he shouldn’t feel guilty.

Jung-Hyun leaves the office. Kyung-Chul tells Eun-Tae that everyone will think they’re honest but incompetent. Because they dissolved a department, and they’re going to approve something like that. People say they prefer to hire people who are capable but dishonest. Sometimes he really makes him worry about him. He asks him did he drive the expensive sports car. Eun-Tae says he once sat in the passenger seat. Kyung-Chul asks Eun-Tae wouldn’t he feel uneasy? When someone with poor driving skills drives the the luxury car, it’s the passengers who suffer. Kyung-Chul tells Eun-Tae that his car is way too fancy. He should be careful when he drives it.

In the evening, Eun-Tae gets off work. Ji-Hye chases him out of the company. She tries to hand over the present to him. She tells him that he forgot to take it. He says it’s for her. He asks her to take it home. He wanted to give it to her. She tells him that he doesn’t have to do it. She asks him to accept the present. He takes over the present from her.

She’s truly grateful. But Gi-Tae worried that he would cause her not to become a regular employee when he made the mistake. Nobody cares if contract employees get holiday gift sets. But Eun-Tae put it under her table. The more he cares, the more it reminds her that she’s just a contract employee. She cries to walk away.

He realizes that it was a mistake. No matter how hard he tries, he cannot make up for the mistake. Today, he ruined the livelihoods of several colleagues. They may have made a mistake. But the one who exposed and let them be punished was him. His boss scolded him. It’s the words that he shouldn’t be heard as an employee. Corruption is better than incompetence. He said so to him. He offended a team member with the name of thoughtfulness. He gave her the present not for her. He did it for himself. Eun-Tae returns home. He drinks. He realizes that he’s still a nobody even if he’s rich.

The next day, Eun-Tae arrives in Busan. He goes to see his niece A-Yeong. He tells her that he came for a long time. But she knows he lied. She was thinking when he would come. He mentions she didn’t study at school. But she came to the place to study. She says she studies anytime, anywhere. He doesn’t understand her. She wants to eat something expensive.

Eun-Tae takes A-Yeong to a restaurant. He gives her a bag. She’s very happy. At the bus stop, she takes photos of the bag. He asks her not to post it online. She won’t do that. Because it will be stolen if she takes it to school. He asks her to tell it to him if she’s beaten. The bus comes. She asks him to find a place to drink coffee. She knows he asked her out to go home late. She asks him to go home before dinner. She gets on the bus. She leaves.

In the evening, Eun-Tae returns home. He sees his father. His father asks him to go upstairs. His mother is waiting for him. He notices that his belt is loose. He fixes it for him.

Eun-Seok’s wife and Eun-Tae’s mother are preparing the dinner for Eun-Tae. Eun-Tae shows up. His mother thinks he has eaten junk food. A-Yeong walks out of her room. She tells Eun-Tae that his delay didn’t work. Eun-Seok shows up. Eun-Tae isn’t happy after he saw his brother.
