Mi-Do meets Namgung Ho in the church in A Love Other Than Yours episode 14. She tells him that she came after she broke up with Tae-Seung. He says he broke up with Su-A as well. He knows they cannot go back to the past. It isn’t her mistake. He promised to stay by her side until the very end. He said even if it was a mess, and he stuck in a quagmire. He would take her to walk until the very end.
Mi-Do thinks the ending isn’t not all bad. They hit rock bottom. She sees the truth clearly that they cherish each other. She wanted to hurt Namgung Ho. But she couldn’t do that. She wonders why did things turn out this way? He says that’s the kind of people they are. They look at each other. She offers to break up. He agrees.
The next day, Mi-Do is sleeping in her bed. Suk-Hee walks to Mi-Do. She sits on the bed. Mi-Do tells Suk-Hee that Namgung Ho did nothing wrong. She was the one who loved another man so that they broke up. She asks Suk-Hee to continue to be nice to the guy. Suk-Hee says she has never seen Namgung Ho crying like that. He was very sad. He didn’t say anything, and he left. She doesn’t know the reason why they broke up. But she knows they won’t get back together.
She almost cannot remember the face of Mi-Do’s father. She remembered it when she saw his photo. She realized that he smiled like that. She felt a twinge of sadness. She was busy, and she forgot it. Everything will fade. Everything disappears in such a way. Then one day, she will feel unbearable sadness. Mi-Do and Namgung Ho will do that as well in the future. So Mi-Do shouldn’t hate Namgung Ho. She doesn’t have to force herself to forget him.
At the KTV, Wan-Do finds Paula’s music box. Paula apologizes to him. She doesn’t expect that he looked for it so long. She thought he would close the place down after she died. He says the KTV is the only thing she left to him. He wouldn’t leave here. He tells her that he loved her very much at that time. He was very tired. This is why he hurt her. She tears up. She says she knows it. She leans on his shoulder. She mentions they promised to go to the beach on Paula Island. She wants to go there.
Mun-Yeong is trying on a wedding dress. She thinks the earring isn’t suitable for her. Sang-Su shows up. He tells his mother that she’s very beautiful when she wears the wedding dress. His father forced him to praise her 12 times. He needs to praise her that she’s younger than Mr. Jang. She will tell his father that he accompanies her for one hour. He doesn’t want to call Mr. Jang father. She says she doesn’t intend to let him do that. He tells her that his father needs some time to sincerely wish her well. He asks her to try to be considerate of the man. He leaves. Mun-Yeong realizes that Young-Do kept the promise.
It flashes back. Young-Do feeds Sang-Su a hamburger. He thinks they should have gone to drink Pork Rib Soup. But Mun-Yeong says she likes hamburger. She asks for Tomato Sauce. Young-Do says he forgot it. After all, it’s not good for the kid. He asks her to eat it in such a way. She’s furious to throw the hamburger at his face. He begs her to continue to be Sang-Su’s mother. But she points out that he doesn’t need her.
At present, Mun-Yeong tells herself not to let Young-Do find out that she was a total wimp at that time. She was utterly humble. Mi-Do drinks at the restaurant. She misses Namgung Ho. She cries.
Two years later, Namgung Ho arrives at the airport. Ho-Sik asks Namgung Ho to be the team leader of the team. Namgung Ho asks for a 20 percent pay raise. He wants to sign an extra rewards contract. He will consider it if Ho-Sik does it. Ho-Sik is furious to scold Namgung Ho. He reminds him that he caused him to fall so low.
Ho-Sik became famous after Namgung Ho posted the footage. He tells Namgung Ho that it’s not the life he wants. He planned to go to the factory. But he got involved in the power fight. He didn’t expect he would climb so high. Namgung Ho tells Ho-Sik that he shouldn’t have said the weak words. His fans will be disappointed. Ho-Sik refuses to stay at the company to be burned as a wood. Namgung Ho should be with Ho-Sik. They will die together. Ho-Sik asks Namgung Ho to come back to work.
Su-A shows up. She’s a director now. Ho-Sik tells her that Namgung Ho will work at the company next week. He knows they haven’t seen each other for two years. Su-A brings up that Namgung Ho rejected the supplier they arranged. She asks him for the reason. He says he doesn’t like the looks of the Pastry Chef. He was kidding. She will know it if she comes to attend his party. She says she cannot make it. Because she needs to go on a blind date. She will listen to his explanation when he comes to work.
At the court, Tae-Seung makes his client cry. So the client receives a reduced sentence. Mi-Do becomes a teacher. She teaches people how to make movies. She remembers Wan-Do told her that Namgung Ho returned to Korea. He asked her not to come home. He worried that Namgung Ho wouldn’t come back because of her. She hears that the couple broke the equipment.
Mi-Do goes to the equipment room to look for something. Tae-Seung holds the stuff. He guesses she’s looking for it. She asks him how did he get in the equipment room? He says he used the same method that he did last time. He lied. Because he has two business card holders. He didn’t find the holder. He comforts her that it isn’t just his business cards. He took care of the CCTV. He knows Namgung Ho has returned to Korea. She realizes that he visited her mother again.
He says he went to dye his hair. She asks him not to go to the beauty salon. He asks her does she worries that he will run into Namgung Ho? Does she miss the guy? The students break into the equipment room. Tae-Seung and Mi-Do hide. He hugs her. He asks her is she playing with him? She can play with him. But she can only play with him. He admits that he’s way too persistent. But she gave him the hope. She didn’t push him away. It makes his heart race.
He asks her to tell it to him that she doesn’t miss Namgung Ho at all. She asks him isn’t he confident? She admits it to him that she misses Namgung Ho. But it’s not what he thinks. She just wants to know if he lives well. She worries about him. She was heartbroken after she saw him being hurt because of her. Seeing him in pain because of Namgung Ho. It made her sad. So she cannot get together with him. He tells her that he was in pain because she made him feel uneasy. She kisses him.
In the evening, Su-A returns home. Namgung Ho is waiting for her. He asks her about the blind date. She ignores him. She gets in her house. She closes the door. She walks out of her house. She asks him why did he mail the plant to her? He explains it to her that he cherishes the plant very much. He thought she could take care of the plant well. So he chose her. She thinks he lied. He stayed overseas for Mi-Do. He says he didn’t do it because of Mi-Do.
He refused to come back if he couldn’t love her 100 percent. He kisses her. She asks him about the woman who he ate ice cream with. He says it was his neighbor. They’re just the relationship that they eat ice cream together. She figures he rejected the Pastry Chef because he was very handsome. He didn’t want the guy to work with her. He was jealous. She mentions the Snake Plant she gave him. She asks him why did he let it die? He says he did it because of her.
She asked him to water the plant when he missed her. So he often watered it. It died. She tells him that she missed him very much.
The next day at Suk-Hee’s house, Young-Do decides to go fishing since Namgung Ho came back. Suk-Hee asks Young-Do and Wan-Do to give the food to Namgung Ho.
By the lake, Namgung Ho tells Young-Do and Wan-Do that they will only meet one time each year. Young-Do isn’t happy. He asks Namgung Ho is it because of the words he said at that time? He asks him doesn’t he worry about them? Namgung Ho says he doesn’t worry about Young-Do and his family. He knows they will live well. Young-Do will take care of them well than anyone. Young-Do tears up. He tells Namgung Ho that he will take care of him as well. He’s his younger brother.
Namgung Ho joins Wan-Do. Wan-Do tells Namgung Ho that he wants to be his father in his next life. So he can repay him. Namgung Ho tears up. Wan-Do hugs Namgung Ho. He comforts him that he will live well without them. He thanks him for what he did for them.
Namgung Ho returns to his house. He runs into Mi-Do. She says it wasn’t a coincidence. She had waited for him for two hours downstairs. She could avoid him easily. He won’t run into her even if he comes to her house. She heard it from Young-Do that he would meet her family one time every year. She thinks he doesn’t have to do it. She mentions they have lived well over the past two years.
He tells her that he will move out after one month. Starting tomorrow, he won’t see her. He offers to go on a trip. He wants to go to a place with her. Mi-Do is at home. She remembers Namgung Ho told her that it was the last time she saw him if she didn’t go to the bus station.
The next day, Mi-Do arrives at the bus station. She and Namgung Ho go to a restaurant. He asks her not to lie to him today. She claims that she has been honest to him. She doesn’t understand why he emphasized the point. He asks her did she go to Tan Yang with Mr. Kong when he was discharged from the military? She denies it. She says she went to the field to study for her graduation project. He tapped her on the forehead. She asks him where did he went after she dumped him? She figures he went to Angela’s house.
He says it wasn’t Angela’s house. He was the motel. She’s surprised that he spoke with great conviction. He points out that they weren’t dating. He thinks it’s not a problem that he dated Angela. He asks her does she regret for knowing him? Does she regret that he showed up in her life? She denies it. Because that day was just an accident.
He regrets for knowing her. He thinks he’s like a curse that pushed her into abyss. If they encountered like ordinary people, their ending would be different. He finds it very bitter. She figures that’s why he took her to the place. He speaks out what he wants to say, and he listens to what he wants to listen. He will leave without a trace of attachment. He won’t see her after today. She says goodbye to him. She leaves the restaurant.
Mi-Do takes the taxi. But she comes back to the restaurant. Namgung Ho tells her that he wants her to give him a present. He walks her on the street. He tells her that she’s a fool. He asks her to smile because it’s the last time they get along. He asks her is she hungry? She almost didn’t eat anything. She asks him to speak out what he wants. She will buy it and leave. He asks her to accompany him until midnight. She yells at him.
He says he wants the Dinosaur Balloon she gave to him. The balloon was the first present he received. He lost it, and he was very sad. She mentions it’s over twenty years. She cannot buy the same balloon. She thinks nobody will sell it. But they find the dinosaur balloons.
Namgung Ho have fun with the dinosaur balloon on the beach. But Mi-Do releases the balloon. She promises him that she will buy him a new one next year. She asks him not to say today is the last day. He tells her that he won’t go to see Young-Do and Wan-Do. He wants to leave their world. She tears up. She asks him why does he want to do that? He figures she felt sorry for him as well when she gave him the balloon.
Namgung Ho goes to buy candies. Someone falls into the sea. Mi-Do jumps into the sea to save the kid. She tells Namgung Ho that he was wrong. It’s not a curse. She was afraid of it when she ran over. But she couldn’t stop. It was a miracle that they encountered. She asks him to remember the kid they just saved if he thinks he’s a curse. She wished he would be happy when she gave him the balloon. He says he’s very happy to know her. She taught him that life could be so happy. The happiness helped him hang in there.

That is why he could try his best to live. He asks her was she happy with him? She says she was happy, and it was worth her giving everything. The girl returns the balloon to Namgung Ho. Namgung Ho and Mi-Do smile.
At the bus station, Mi-Do asks Namgung Ho what did he do with Angela at the motel? She asks him not to tell it to her. She doesn’t want to know it. She leans on his shoulder. At Suk-Hee’s house, Suk-Hee asks Mi-Do to cherish Namgung Ho. Mi-Do returns home. She sees the book Namgung Ho left to her. She opens the book. She sees a drawing of her. He drew her when she slept in the classroom.
