Kingpin gives a New Year’s speech and he emphasizes that he’s going to deal with volunteer police in Daredevil: Born Again: Episode 2. He mentions Punisher, Spider-Man and Daredevil. The citizens have different opinions on it. Daredevil hears the opinions.
We go to a subway station. A man Hector Ayala finds out that there’re two people beating a man. He tries to stop them. But the two people are rude to him. Hector Ayala fights the two. But the guy who was beaten flees. One of the people falls into the tracks. He’s crushed by the train.
Hector Ayala is shocked. Another person takes out the police badge and the gun. He claims that he’s a cop. Hector Ayala tried to do something good. But he killed a cop. BB Urich interviews the passerby again. The citizens don’t miss Daredevil after Kingpin was elected mayor. They think Daredevil is a clown.
Kingpin is in his office. He’s very busy. The female assistant knows Kingpin and his wife have a conflict. But Kingpin needs to resolve the problem for reassuring citizens. It’s what Kingpin cares for. Meanwhile, Matt is handling a DUI at the police station. He hears the police beating a criminal. They mention the guy killed a cop.
Matt finds the criminal. The criminal is Hector. Matt introduces himself as a lawyer. He asks Hector if he actually killed the cop. Hector denies it immediately. He claims that he just wanted to save the guy and he didn’t know the person is a cop. Matt listens to Hector’s heartbeat. He knows he didn’t lie. He asks Hector if he conceals something from him. Hector denies it. But his heartbeat proves that he lied. Matt comforts the guy and he tells him to relax. He offers to defend him.
Kingpin is on the way to the destination. There’s a traffic jam. He’s told that the road is damaged. Although the maintenance team arrives, they can only work after a large number of documents are approved. Kingpin asks the maintenance team to work with the identity of mayor. The action wins the citizens’ hearts.
Kirsten goes against it after knowing Matt is going to defend Hector. Because it’s related to killing police. It means that they’re going to go against the police system. Matt reminds Kirsten that they formed the law firm for overcoming obstacles. He knows what Hector said is true. Kirsten is convinced. Matt asks Cherry to go to look for the man who was beaten at the subway station. Cherry needs to find out that what Hector is concealing at the same time.
Matt is on the hot search because he defends Hector. He’s interviewed by the reporters. The judge doesn’t give any face to Matt in the courtroom. He sentences Hector to no bail. BB Urich’s influence rises because she did a good job on the interviews about Kingpin. Daniel pays attention to the girl. He takes her to interview Kingpin. But he asks her not to ask sensitive questions.
The two walk into Kingpin’s office. Kingpin has a talk with BB Urich. He realizes that she’s the good reporter Ben Urich’s niece after knowing her name. Ben Urich was killed by Kingpin in Daredevil Season 1. It’s obvious that BB Urich isn’t a supporter of Kingpin. She approached him for her uncle’s death.
BB Urich leaks an important message to Kingpin that the police commissioner Gallo plans to resign for going against him. There will be many police getting involved and the police system will be paralysis. Kingpin is polite to thank BB Urich for giving the message to him. But he asks her to get out of his office at the same time. The assistants mistake that their boss got angry. But Kingpin praises the reporter. He decides to use her.
Heather runs into a wasted fan at her new book signing. He wishes to get help from her. He’s happy to leave after she promised him. Kingpin’s male assistant shows up. Gallo appears at the funeral of the dead cop. He runs into Kingpin before he leaves. Kingpin shows kindness. But Gallo ignores it. He mentions Kingpin’s sinful past. It’s obvious that he wants to fight him till the end.
Kirsten and Cherry find Hector Ayala’s wife. Kirsten asks the madam about her husband. Cherry catches the chance to sneak into the room. He finds White Tiger’s clothes from the box. I’m surprised that Hector is White Tiger. Matt is shocked as well. He meets with Hector immediately. He claims that the identity of White Tiger will make the lawsuit more difficult. He reminds the guy that the case will rise from the individual to the volunteer police group. Hector realizes that it’s a serious matter. He confesses all his secrets to Matt.
We go to see Kingpin. The guy receives a resignation letter from Gallo. But Kingpin isn’t flustered. He shows the photo of Gallo’s mistress and his son to Gallo. Gallo thinks he fell into an ice cave. His family becomes hostages. He has to compromise and he takes back his resignation letter. He leaves Kingpin’s office. Kingpin is happy with it. It’s obvious that he’s not changed.
Matt reports to the judge that Hector is White Tiger. He asks the court to seal the evidence with the excuse that the case isn’t related to the lawsuit. The prosecutor goes against it. The judge agrees to Matt’s request after Matt persuaded him.
BB Urich interviews the citizens again. Everyone thinks the police didn’t do a good job when they caught the criminals. It will be an important foreshadowing. Matt meets with Cherry. Cherry didn’t find the man who was beaten. He thinks Matt lost the normal judgment because the person is a volunteer police. But Matt insists that the person is innocent. Cherry tells Matt not to be Daredevil again. But Matt is moved. He decides to use his superpower since the conventional ways didn’t work.
He heard the voice of the dead cop’s partner in the courtroom. He uses his radar sense and he finds the cop. He tails him. Kingpin’s male assistant visits Heather. He does it not for pursuing her. He actually comes for Kingpin. Kingpin and Vanessa wish Heather to help them resolve their conflict. Heather does a treatment for the two. Vanessa confesses that she felt lonely after Kingpin left. She wasn’t happy after her husband closed her business. Kingpin’s answer is very simple. He doesn’t want to lose his wife.

Matt gets the address of the subway man, according to the talk. He learns that the police want to kill the person. He finds the guy before the police. The police come when Matt tries to explain it to the guy. He lets the guy flee from the fire escape. He asks him to go to the appointed place. Cherry will pick the guy up.
The episode ends with Matt facing the two cops alone. They beat him after knowing the subway guy fled. Matt doesn’t fight back at first. He tries to persuade them. But the cops aren’t simple. There’s Punisher’s tattoo on the two cops’ wrists. They plan to shoot Matt. Matt cannot stand it. He takes the gun and he begins to fight back. He picks up his sunglasses. The cracks in the sunglasses mean that the seal of Daredevil is going to crush. Matt growls because of anger.
