In a lab, Chan is working in In Your Radiant Season episode 1. Ha-Ran talks with him over the phone. But he doesn’t answer her. He goes to a store. He buys a pen carved her name. In the office, Ha-Ran is told that she took first place in a design competition. The colleagues congratulate her. She texts Chan in the evening. She tells him that she took first place with the pen he gave her. She thanks him. She thinks he’s her savior.
Chan goes to a library. It’s raining suddenly outside. Ha-Ran smells the taste of rainwater. She asks him if he knows there’s a special distinctive flavor before the rain. She likes the flavor. But it disappears quickly so that she keeps standing there to smell it. He returns home. He tells her that it’s the scent emitted by organic compounds. It’s called the taste of the first rain. She stops him. She asks him not to ruin her romance with the organic compounds. She says that she will be happy if she smells the flavor next time. She suggests that he should give it a try. He goes out. He stands in the rain. He draws her in his room. He smiles. He sneezes.
In the office, Ha-Ran sees a plane. She wants to fly to see Chan. The team leader En Chan reveals the guy cannot come back because he’s very busy. She knows it because Chan is her brother. Ha-Ran is on the way to the airport. She talks with Ha-Young over the phone. Ha-Young invites Ha-Ran to attend a gathering. But Ha-Ran needs to go to Boston.
Chan gets up from the bed in his room. He opens his laptop. He sees Ha-Ran at the airport. He’s told that she’s going to come to see him. He quickly closes the laptop. Ha-Ran arrives in Boston. She gets in a taxi. She asks the driver to take her to Chan’s school. Chan runs to the lab. He tries to open the doors of the lab. But the lab explodes. He’s caught in the blast.
Ha-Ran arrives at the school. She sees the wounded people and the police. She gets a call from En Chan. En Chan cries to tell Ha-Ran a bad news about Chan. Ha-Ran is shocked. Chan lies on the ground. He cannot move. He sheds tears.
Seven years later, Na-Na stops the photo shooting in the studio. The people completes the shooting, according to her instructions. The employee flatters her. But she rejects it. She asks those guys to applaud for the person in charge. They realize that the person is Ha-Ran. They applaud for Ha-Ran. Ha-Young feels sorry. Because Ha-Ran isn’t in the studio.
Ha-Ran goes to the roof to listen to the music. She tries to leave. But she sees a plane. Chan’s colleagues arrive at the airport. They find out that Chan is missing. Chan takes a photo with the tourists. He shows the colleague Ben the group photo in the car after they left the airport. Ben thinks Chan is the only one who would make friends with all passengers. Chan drinks the chocolate milk. He says that it’s the taste of memories. It’s been seven years since he last returned to Korea. He takes out the list of locations that he’s going to visit. He asks Ben to take him there. But Ben pretends not to hear it. Chan has to have fun on his own.
Chan and Ben go to Nana Kim Atelier to meet Tae-Suk. He’s excited to give him a hug. He expresses that he’s delighted to see him. But Tae-Suk isn’t delighted. Ben suggests that Tae-Suk should treat Chan as a retriever who runs because of liking humans.
Ha-Young and the employees return to Nana Kim Atelier. Seung-Gyu takes a look at his watch. He reminds those guys that they need to leave immediately if they want to make it to the victory celebration. But Kim Sol finds out that Ha-Ran didn’t arrive early. She wonders if she needs to inform Ha-Ran about the banquet. But the man stops her. He thinks she doesn’t know Ha-Ran. He asks her if she had lunch with Ha-Ran. She realizes that she didn’t have the chance. But she points out that Ha-Ran often leaves before the lunch time. It seems that a lot of people asked Ha-Ran out. But he thinks it’s not reasonable that Ha-Ran has dates everyday. She figures it out that Ha-Ran intended to avoid them. He reveals Ha-Ran is good at pretending that she has great style.
Ha-Ran writes at a cafe. Chan goes to a gaming room to have fun. He eats noodles by the river. He sends the photos to Ben when Ben is sleeping. He takes a photo of a flower. At the cafe, Ha-Ran draws a flower. But she’s interrupted by the sound of the ice maker. She notices the tickets of the art exhibition. The cafe owner Man-Jae suggests that she should take more tickets. But she only takes one. The art exhibition’s name is In Your Radiant Season.
Chan arrives at the art exhibition. He joins Ha-Ran in front of a snow painting. He remembers Ha-Ran told him that she loves him. He turns around. But she has left. He chases her out of the art exhibition. He notices that the shelf is going to hit her. He calls her when he hopes she will be careful. The shelf falls over. She’s fine. She looks for him. But he has left.
Chan is on the tower in the evening. He tells Ben that Ha-Ran is everywhere no matter where he goes. So he fled seven years ago. Ben figures it out that something happened to Chan. Chan decides to forget it. He asks Ben to go to sleep. Ha-Ran is at home. She takes a look at the ticket. She remembers someone called her name. She wonders who was the guy.
The next day, Chan introduces the role he designed at Nana Kim Atelier. He wants the designers to design the clothes for the role. Na-Na wonders why she has to do it. He tells her that he thinks she’s like the role Yuan. Yuan isn’t like sun who shines everyone. She’s the kid who becomes someone’s light in the dark. She’s like a moonlight. He brings up the first series Soft Moonlight she published when she was 22 years old. She agrees to design the clothes for Yuan. He takes a group photo with her even if she feels offended. He leaves the meeting room to go to take the story video.
Chan walks out of the elevator after he got the video. A pen rolls to his foot. He picks up the pen. He takes a look at the pen. He sees Ha-Ran’s name. Ha-Ran walks to Chan. The two have an eye contact. In the meeting room, Na-Na discovers that the role is like Ha-Ran.
In the hallway, Ha-Ran tells Chan that she lost her pen. She learns that he came to discuss cooperation. She introduces herself as the chief designer. She thinks she sees him for the first time. He introduces himself to her as well. He returns the pen to her. She walks away.
Chan returns to the meeting room after he washed his face in the restroom. Ben notices that his friend is wet. He wonders what happened to Chan. Ha-Ran walks into the meeting room. She apologizes to Na-Na for her late. Na-Na asks Chan if Yuan has a prototype person. He denies it. He claims that he came up with it on his own. Ha-Young reveals Na-Na thought the role is like her sister Ha-Ran. Chan wets himself after he heard the girl’s words. Na-Na asks Remy to prepare a piece of clothing for Chan. Ha-Ran leaves the meeting room.
In the hallway, Ha-Ran sits on the bench. Remy shows up with a piece of clothing. He asks her to give the clothes to Chan. Because he thinks she’s free. She goes to the changing room. She tries to put the shirt at the door. But she opens the door by mistake. She sees the words on Chan’s body. He grabs the shirt from her. He returns to the changing room. He closes the door quickly.
Chan returns to the hotel. He tells Ben that he needs to quit the project. He tries to pack his stuff. Ben stops Chan. He mistakes that Chan was kidding. But Chan says that he will contact Ben after he finds the Executive Producer who can replace him. Ben reminds Chan that the director is going to come with the team. He grabs his collar. He thinks the Chan he knows won’t do such a thing. He wants to know the reason. Chan reveals he was afraid. He thought he shouldn’t stay there.
Ben mentions what Chan said that drawing makes him happy. He asks him to leave because he doesn’t need the executive producer who gave up his work so easy. He leaves his room. Ben comes back. He finds out that Chan has left. He contacts the director with the laptop. The director wants to know about the meeting. Ben tries to report to the director about what happened to Chan. But Chan is happy to show up after he took a shower. He reports it to the director that he has sent the papers to Na-Na. He believes that they will have a meeting soon.
The next day, Ha-Dam returns home. She reports it to her grandma Na-Na that she got full marks. She goes to the second floor. Ha-Ran shows up. Na-Na scolds Ha-Ran. Because she’s later than her sister. She wants to know where she went. But she lets her go to the second floor.
Ha-Ran tries to return to her room. Na-Na stops Ha-Ran. She asks her to go to the study with her. In the study, Na-Na asks Ha-Ran to see Photographer Yoon. She knows the guy had feelings for her. But Ha-Ran rejects it. Na-Na orders Ha-Ran to change her mind. Ha-Ran refuses to accept the arrangement. She leaves her grandma’s study.
The next day, Ha-Young greets Na-Na in the morning. She reveals she came back after midnight. Because she needed to see a lot of guys. Na-Na complains it to Ha-Young that the family members are quite extreme. Ha-Young realizes what Na-Na means is the lonely eldest daughter. She sees the news that Ha-Ran was almost hit by the scaffolding. She turns off the TV immediately so that Na-Na doesn’t see the news.
Ha-Young visits Ha-Ran. She shows her the news. She thinks she should be careful so that their grandma won’t worry about her. Ha-Ran checks the video. She finds out that the man who reminded her wore the same shirt as Chan. She wonders why the guy could call her name since he didn’t see her at that time. Ha-Young guesses the guy knew Ha-Ran through his circle.
Ha-Ran goes to her office. Kim Sol informs Ha-Ran that the black dress was delivered. Ha-Ran measures the dress. Kim Sol volunteers to wear the dress. She finds a man’s shirt. Ha-Ran takes over the shirt from Kim Sol. She finds a ticket from Chan’s shirt. She realizes that she and Chan went to same art exhibition on the same day. The person who called her was the guy.
In the evening, Ha-Ran writes Chan’s name in the attic. She wonders why the guy called her. Chan wakes up from the nightmare.
The next day, Ha-Ran arrives at Nana Kim Atelier. She receives her photos from the stalker. But she doesn’t plan to do anything. Ha-Young breaks into Ha-Ran’s office. She figures it out that the one who did it was the person calling Ha-Ran’s name. But Ha-Ran asks Ha-Young to go to work.
At the cafe, Ha-Ran realizes that Chan was the stalker. Man-Jae gives her a glass of ice water. He reveals someone fixed the ice maker. Ha-Ran receives a message from Na-Na. Na-Na asks Ha-Ran to go to Lu Miai Hotel. Chan visits the cafe. He notices the harmonica on the table. Man-Jae goes to the second floor to take something. Chan plays piano.
Ha-Ran arrives at the hotel. Na-Na is waiting for Ha-Ran. She takes her into the hotel. She reveals she’s going to take her to see Photographer Yoon. But Ha-Ran refuses to see the guy. Na-Na persuades Ha-Ran that Photographer Yoon is a good person. But Ha-Ran doesn’t need it. She worries that she will lose the guy again if she falls in love. She’s furious to leave the hotel.
Na-Na is in the car. She remembers Ha-Ran lost her parents in a car accident. Ha-Ran came back from Boston. Na-Na picked up Ha-Ran at the airport. Ha-Ran told her grandma that Chan left her. She cried.
At the cafe, Man-Jae comes back with a bottle of wine. He sees Chan playing piano. He drinks with him. He suggests that he should ignore his memories. Ha-Ran meets Photographer Yoon at the hotel. She persuades him not to waste his time on her. But she sees Chan. She chases him out of the hotel. She asks him when he knew her. He tears up when he looks at her.
