Chan is in a coma at the hospital in Boston after he was caught in the blast in In Your Radiant Season episode 2. Ha-Ran calls him. It promotes him to wake up. At the hospital in Korea, Chan tells the doctor that he kept thinking of a girl. But he cannot remember who she is. The doctor asks Chan if he thought off the girl after he was affected by external stimuli. Chan denies it. He says that the girl was there. She was like shards stuck in his brain.
The doctor thinks the girl is the person Chan knew before the accident. Chan doesn’t believe that someone would confess her feelings to him because he has been alone. He doesn’t know if she really exists. The doctor asks Chan about his feelings when he thought of the girl. Chan says that the girl is the person who he must see. He sees Ha-Ran in a taxi. He gets off the taxi. He goes to chase her. She’s watching the fireworks by the river. He tries to approach her. But he remembers the Chan she loves is his roommate. He walks away.
Outside the hotel, Ha-Ran asks Chan who he is. He wipes off his tears. He tells her not to misunderstand it. He didn’t conceal anything. She blames him for taking photos of her and sending it to the company. She wants to know his goal of tailing her. She found the ticket of the art gallery. It was in the clothes that he forgot to take away. He admits it to her that he went to the art gallery. But he didn’t follow her. She takes out her cell phone. She thinks the person who called her was him. She shows him his photo. She believes that he shouldn’t have known her name and appearance. She figures it out that he collected a lot of information when he tailed her. He shows her her photo on the company website. She thinks it was impossible that he recognized her from so far away. He says that he saw her from the place very close to her when she was watching Sisley’s painting. She learns that it wasn’t the first time he saw her when they had meeting. She asks him why he said that it’s the first time to meet her. He apologizes to her for not telling it to her. She apologizes to him as well after she realized that she misunderstood him. She tries to leave. But she asks him to explain why they ran into each other at the hotel. He says that he lives in the hotel. He shows her his room card. She asks him why he fled after he saw her in the lobby. He claims that he just walked back. He takes out the drink. He tells her that he forgot to take it.
Ha-Ran walks on the street. She wonders who sent the photos. Chan throws the drink at the stalker. He reminds Ha-Ran that the stalker is behind her. She goes to chase the stalker. Ha-Young sees the stalker as well. She tries to chase him. But she sees Chan. She trips after she was distracted. Tae-Suk catches her. The stalker runs into a dead end. She takes out a drink. She throws the drink at Ha-Ran. Chan protects Ha-Ran with his body. He catches the stalker.
The stalker is taken to the police station. The cop asks her to confess what liquid was inside the bottle. Chan guesses it was the bleach. The cop guesses Chan graduated from a School of Engineering. He asks the stalker why she threw the dangerous thing at Ha-Ran. She says that she wanted to ruin Ha-Ran. She didn’t like Ha-Ran. The cop figures it out that the stalker and Ha-Ran knew each other. The stalker was Ha-Ran’s colleague. She was the one who congratulated Ha-Ran after Ha-Ran took the first place. She didn’t understand why everyone liked Ha-Ran. She knows it now. It was because of Na-Na. Ha-Ran’s grandma is a famous designer. The stalker resigned because she couldn’t stand it. She didn’t know Ha-Ran had powerful connections. She thinks she left her with nothing. She wants to beat her. But she’s stopped by Ha-Young. Ha-Ran decides not to sue the stalker. She asks the cop to close the case.
Ha-Young walks Ha-Ran out of the police station. Ha-Ran wonders why Ha-Young came with Tae-Suk. Ha-Young explains it to her sister that she worried about her. Ha-Ran throws a fit to Ha-Young. She asks her what she would do if there was a bad person who had evil intention. She worries that she would be hurt. Ha-Young calms Ha-Ran down. She reminds her that she’s there. Everyone is fine. She gives her a hug. She asks Chan why he ran with her sister. He explains it to her that he lives near the hotel. He saw a suspicious person tailing Ha-Ran. She applauds. She thinks he saved her sister. She takes Ha-Ran to bow to him. She notices that the color of his clothes is changed. Ha-Ran apologizes to Chan. He leaves. Ha-Young asks Ha-Ran why she apologized to the guy again. Ha-Ran reveals she mistook Chan for the stalker who sent the photos. Ha-Young thinks her sister was ungrateful. She reminds her that Chan got his clothes broken for helping her. The cop shows up with the doctor. He’s surprised that Chan left. He tells the people that Chan’s arm needs a treatment. Ha-Ran asks Ha-Young to go home. She runs away.
Ha-Ran stops Chan on the street. She notices that his hand is bleeding. She guesses he was hurt when the bottle was broken. She thinks he can demand compensation from her. He claims that he’s fine. So she doesn’t have to draw a clear line. She says that she feels guilty. She doesn’t want to bring trouble to others. She hands over her business card to him. She asks him to go to accept treatment.
Na-Na is at home. She remembers Photographer Yoon told her that Ha-Ran rejected him. Ha-Ran returns home. She asks Na-Na not to arrange such a thing for her. She will take care of it on her own. Na-Na yells at Ha-Ran. She mentions she hid in the corner. Ha-Young reveals Ha-Ran was with a man. She was the witness. Na-Na thinks Ha-Young lied to her. She asks Ha-Ran if what her sister said is true. But Ha-Ran goes to the second floor. Na-Na is interested in the man. But Ha-Young asks Na-Na not to interfere.
Ha-Ran returns to her room. Ha-Young reminds her sister that she helped her resolve a problem. She thinks the family cannot run without her. Ha-Ran asks Ha-Young why she made grandma misunderstand it. But Ha-Young thinks it’s true that Ha-Ran was with a man. She thinks it’s a good thing that Na-Na misunderstood it. She persuades Ha-Ran to pretend that she’s dating someone. So she can take it easy. She asks her about Chan’s hand. Ha-Ran reveals she has given the business card to the guy. Ha-Young reminds her sister that she was thrown by the bleach if Chan didn’t protect her. She thinks she should buy Chan a meal. She knows she won’t do that. She asks her to give a piece of clothing to Chan. Ha-Ran plans to do it in the meeting next week. But Ha-Young thinks it’s too late. Ha-Ran offers to send it by express delivery tomorrow. But Ha-Young thinks Ha-Ran should give the clothes to the guy in person. Ha-Young tries to leave Ha-Ran’s room. Ha-Ran thanks Ha-Young. Ha-Young brings up that Ha-Ran just scolded her. She remembers Ha-Ran stopped everyone from leaving home. She tells Ha-Ran that she’s ugly.
Chan receives the clothes from the hotel staff after Ha-Ran left it at the front desk. Chan notices that it’s raining outside. He tries to take an umbrella. But he thinks he shouldn’t be related to the girl. He looks Ha-Ran in the lobby. He sees her standing outside. She lets the rain hit her hand. He joins her with the umbrella. She remembers the words he said at the police station. She’s surprised that there was another person talking in such a way like Chan. Chan tells Ha-Ran that she will catch a cold. He worries that she will get caught in the rain when he tries to hand over the umbrella to her. She rejects it. She tells him that she’s fine. He opens the umbrella. But the umbrella is broken. He tells her that there’s another umbrella in his room. He tries to run away. But she runs into her friend Yu-Jeong. Yu-Jeong is going to get married. She asks Ha-Ran to come to her wedding. But Ha-Ran walks away.
Ha-Ran follows Chan into the lobby. She volunteers to go to take the umbrella with him. In the room, Chan doesn’t find his umbrella. He contacts the reception. Ha-Ran and Chan wait for the umbrella. Ben returns with the chicken his mother-in-law cooked. He learns that Ha-Ran came to borrow an umbrella. He invites her to have meal with them. But the umbrella is delivered. Chan gives the umbrella to Ha-Ran. She leaves. Ben wonders why Chan turned into a fool when Ha-Ran was there. He asks Chan about him and the girl’s relationship. Chan offers to rent a house.
Ha-Ran goes to the cafe. But Man-Jae isn’t at the cafe. She contacts him. Na-Na returns home. She sees Ha-Dam playing a dog. Ha-Dam reveals the dog belongs to the cafe owner. But the cafe owner is hospitalized. Ha-Ran volunteered to take care of the dog. Ha-Ran shows up. She feeds the dog Genius.
Ha-Ran sees the key in her office. She plans to buy Genius some toys. In the garden, Na-Na persuades Genius to run. But he’s too lazy. Man-Jae visits. Genius sees his master. He runs to Man-Jae. Man-Jae tries to leave with the dog. But Na-Na recognizes him. He remembers she was the pretty girl who he played the harmonica for.
Ha-Ran goes to the cafe. But she runs into Chan. She wonders why he’s there. He tells her that he decided to live at the place. He says that he’s close to Man-Jae. He fixed the ice maker. Chan took Man-Jae home. He found out that there’re many rooms at the cafe. So he asked him to rent a room to him. Ha-Ran learns that the guy who called an ambulance for Man-Jae was Chan. She realizes that the one who picked up the phone for Man-Jae was Chan as well. She was the regular customer who volunteered to take care of Genius. She asks Chan if Man-Jae is fine.
Man-Jae says that he’s fine. He’s drinking tea with Na-Na at Na-Na’s house. He brings up that he ran into Ha-Ran seven years ago. He asks her if something happened to Ha-Ran. Seven years ago, Man-Jae went out. He found out that Ha-Ran got caught in the rain outside. Na-Na reveals Ha-Ran lost her boyfriend.
At the cafe, Ha-Ran is drawing. Chan tries to peek at her. But he hits the wall. His cell phone drops. She picks up the cell phone. She tries to hold the cell phone for him. But he asks her to switch to the other side. Man-Jae returns with the dog. Ha-Ran figures it out that he went to her home. She wants to stay at his place.
The next day, Ha-Ran runs into Na-Na at the company. Na-Na notices that something happened to Ha-Ran and Chan. She asks Tae-Suk to pay attention to the two. Ha-Young overhears it. She thinks Tae-Suk received the order that he cannot reject. Ha-Ran walks into the office when Chan is taking photos with the colleagues. She gets into her office. She’s surprised that the guy’s close to the colleagues. She notices that he’s looking at her. She closes the curtains.
Na-Na has meeting with Ha-Ran and Chan. She asks the two to have dinner with her. The three go to a restaurant. Na-Na makes an excuse to leave. Ha-Ran wants to leave. But she notices he wound on Chan’s hand. She remembers Ha-Young asked her to buy Chan a meal. The waiter suggests that Chan should order eggplant. But Chan knows Ha-Ran doesn’t like to eat eggplant. Ha-Ran receives a message from Na-Na. Na-Na tells Ha-Ran that she fell for Chan. Because she kept writing the guy’s name. Ha-Ran remembers she let Tae-Suk take her papers. Ha-Ran tells Chan that Na-Na arranged the date because she misunderstood their relationship. She promises to clear up the misunderstanding. But she remembers Ha-Young thought she should pretend to date someone.
Chan’s ear is affected by the audio system. He feels uncomfortable. He leaves the restaurant. Ha-Ran worries about him. She goes to chase him. But she leaves her pen. The pen is kicked away by someone. Outside the restaurant, Ha-Ran finds Chan. He tells her that he can only hear out of one ear. She notices that his shirt got dirty. She takes off her scarf. She puts the scarf on him. At the cafe, Chan tells Man-Jae that Ha-Ran drew a line between them. Man-Jae reveals Ha-Ran didn’t like to talk herself.
The next day, Ha-Ran sneezes in the meeting. She finds out that her pen is missing. She tries to go to look for her pen. But Na-Na arrives. Ha-Ran has to give up the mind. She cannot work because of the pen. She runs out of the meeting room.

Ha-Ran doesn’t find the pen in her office. She realizes that she left it at the restaurant. She goes to the restaurant. She begs the reception to let her look for her pen. Chan volunteers to help Ha-Ran look for the pen. But she rejects it. Because it’s her case. She coughs. He takes off his coat. He puts the coat on her. He thinks she shouldn’t say outside for a pen. She’s furious to return the coat to him. She swears to find the pen. He promises to leave. He forces her to wear his coat.
Chan returns to the cafe. Man-Jae sees Chan’s scars. He returns the plant to him. He persuades him not to regret. At the restaurant, Ha-Ran looks for the pen. She doesn’t find it. She gets a call from Chan. He wants to tell something to her. He arrives. He offers to do something interesting. Because he will return to the United States after three months. She saved him two times when he tried to kill himself. He asks her if he can be nice to her. He smiles at her.
