Ji-Yun doesn’t expect that the new secretary is her enemy Eun-Ho. She tries to drive him away in Love Scout Episode 2. But she fails.
Yu Byul recovers after Eun-Ho has accompanied her for one year. Her drawings contain color and the characters are enrichment. The doctor tells Eun-Ho that the kid’s heart has opened. So he doesn’t have to worry about it. Eun-Ho invites his best friend Kang-Suk to his house for celebrating it.
Kang-Suk’s wife is Mi-Ae. The two are on the way to Eun-Ho’s house. Kang-Suk asks Mi-Ae to hire Eun-Ho. But Mi-Ae doesn’t want to do that because she knows Eun-Ho was fired by his previous company. She thinks the guy’s resume isn’t good.
The two arrive at Eun-Ho’s house. Mi-Ae is shocked by the dinner. She doesn’t expect that the single father Eun-Ho is so capable. She then sees the wardrobe and the flower pots are well organized. Yu Byul takes the drink and she almost trips.
Eun-Ho rushes to his daughter and he hugs her. He’s calm to wipe off the juice on the floor. Mi-Ae thinks Eun-Ho is the perfect secretary heaven gave to Ji-Yun. She invites him to join their company. But he rejects it because he knows Ji-Yun doesn’t like him.
Mi-Ae promises Eun-Ho that he can accompany Yu Byul if he joins the company. She notes that he’s moved. She offers to raise his pay by 50 percent. He needs to earn money for raising his daughter. He compromises after he was attacked by the generous treatment.
The next day, Eun-Ho comes to work at the company. Ji-Yun is told that Eun-Ho is the new secretary Mi-Ae hired for her. She gets angry and she has a talk with Mi-Ae. She refuses to accept Eun-Ho. Because the guy was the one who made her fail to dig Ho-Jin.
Mi-Ae is surprised. She thinks Eun-Ho is a strong employee. She hands over Eun-Ho’s resume to Ji-Yun. She asks Ji-Yun to believe her ability to dig talents. Ji-Yun needs to go to see a client. She doesn’t have time to talk with Mi-Ae.
She returns to her office to look for her heels. But her office is mess. She cannot find her heels. Eun-Ho helps Ji-Yun find the heels in time. She takes over the heels and she leaves the office without saying anything. Mi-Ae ignores Ji-Yun’s attitude. She introduces Eun-Ho to all colleagues.
The colleagues welcome Eun-Ho who challenges Ji-Yun. They watch how long Eun-Ho can stay. Ji-Yun is meeting with a big client at a cafe. The client’s group wants to build a building. She asks Ji-Yun to recommend a planner for the construction project.
Ji-Yun will be in charge of the team formation if she can find the person. She promises the client that she will find the person that she’s satisfied with. She runs into Hye-Jin who owns a headhunting company as well. Hye-Jin gives Ji-Yun a hard time because she’s her senior.
Ji-Yun is unhappy to return to her company. Eun-Ho greets her. But she’s cold to walk through him. Mi-Ae plans to let Ji-Yun accept Eun-Ho early. She gives the papers to Eun-Ho and she teaches him how to work for Ji-Yun. Eun-Ho uses his talent and he cleans Ji-Yun’s office.
He wishes Ji-Yun to accept him. But she throws the papers at the desk and she’s angry to leave. Mi-Ae explains it to Eun-Ho that the angle staple should be 45 degrees. It’s Ji-Yun’s quirk. Mi-Ae tells Eun-Ho the address of the coffee shop Ji-Yun likes then.
She reminds him that he needs to control the temperature well. Eun-Ho finds the coffee shop. He hands over the coffee he bought to Ji-Yun. But she only takes one sip and she throws it into the trash can. He doesn’t give up. He pays attention to her actions according to Mi-Ae’s instruction.
He witnesses Ji-Yun hurting her head and her legs in the office. He realizes that her boss is dazed. Ji-Yun also sees Eun-Ho’s work abilities. Her office is clean and the withered flower is replaced by the fresh flower. Everything makes Ji-Yun happy.
She accepts Eun-Ho in her heart. But she still doesn’t want the guy to stay. She goes to the file room to look for the papers. She almost gets hit by the drawer when she stands up. Eun-Ho shows up and he helps Ji-Yun. The two are close and they have an eye contact. The atmosphere is ambiguous.
Eun-Ho hands over the papers Ji-Yun wants to look for. He tells her to let him know if she needs help. She asks for an honest talk. She tells him that he doesn’t have to flatter her. She claims that the secretary she wants to look for is the one who understands her work.
But he blamed her for not having the basic professional ethics. He apologizes to her for what he said. He begs her to give him a chance. He asks her to judge her with the standard of secretary. She’s serious to read his resume. She finds out that he took one year of parental leave.
She puts aside her prejudices and she treats Eun-Ho as her secretary. The two work well together. Eun-Ho guards the desk edge when Ji-Yun crouches on the floor to organize papers. He moves when she moves. He’s off duty and he goes to pick up his daughter. He picks up his neighbor’s child as well.
The neighbor Soo-Hyun is a single mother. She helps Yu Byul often. She has feelings for Eun-Ho. She witnesses the guy taking the two kids to have fun. She wishes the time to stop at the moment. Ji-Yun returns to her cold home. She’s lonely.
Outside the window the night is colorful. But Ji-Yun doesn’t have the desire to open the light. She receives a message from Mi-Ae who wants to know if Ji-Yun came home safe. Ji-Yun remembers the past.
It flashes back. Ji-Yun and her father live together. But her father wants to rush into the fire to save people. She takes his hand and she refuses to let him go. But he ignores her crying and he rushes into the fire.
Ji-Yun wakes up from the nightmare. She walks on the street full of cherry blossoms. She remembers his father took her to see cheery blossoms ever. He promised her that he will accompany her forever. But he broke his promise. She grew up alone.
Eun-Ho sees Ji-Yun who looks melancholy. It’s the anniversary of Ji-Yun’s father’s death today. She claims that she doesn’t care for it. But she feels sad on the day each year. Mi-Ae asks Eun-Ho to find a way to get Ji-Yun to eat something.
Eun-Ho takes Ji-Yun to a restaurant. He wishes her to feel the warmth. She asks him why he had taken a year off when he was in the golden age of his career. He’s honest to answer her. Because he promised to accompany his daughter so he had to keep the promise. Because his daughter could only rely on him.
The words hurt Ji-Yun. Eun-Ho turns into the father who broke the promise to Ji-Yun. She tries her best to control her emotion and she walks out of the restaurant. Eun-Ho packs the food and he goes to Ji-Yun’s office. He opens the bottle cap and he persuades Ji-Yun to drink water.
But she knocks over the water bottle when she takes the papers. She’s out of her mind and she throws a fit to Eun-Ho. Meanwhile, Hye-Jin is robbing the big client Ji-Yun is contacting. Ji-Yun visits Hye-Jin for giving her a lesson.

But Hye-Jin uses Ji-Yun’s weak point to attack Ji-Yun. She asks her if she feels guilty for killing a person. She claims that she doesn’t throw away the dead’s stuff for making Ji-Yun live in the pain. Ji-Yun remembers everyone cursed at her.
The episode ends with Ji-Yun walking out of the company. She hears someone thinking she’s a killer. It seems that the nightmare attacks her again. She’s devoured by a huge swirl and she cannot leave. She sees Eun-Ho running to her. She reaches out her hand to him. She wishes to get redemption. He grabs her hand. The weak Ji-Yun passes out in his arms.
