Hyun-Jin has a picnic with her friends by the river in Our Universe episode 1. She expresses that she wants an ordinary life. Tae-Hyeong takes a photo at the photo studio. He says that he wants the things that belong to him. She has a meeting at a company as a leader. He enjoys coffee in his office. He wants couch and the house that he can nail. But the baby Woo-Joo brings trouble to them. They have to return home.

Tae-Hyeong drives a sports car to the beach. He takes photos of the model. He asks the Lighting Technician to take away the reflector. He prefers natural light. In the next shot, we find out that he’s just the guy who makes wind for the model. He’s not a photographer. He and his friend are put to work by the photographer. He needs to say thank you after the work is completed.
Hyun-Jin is just a food delivery driver. She works from day to night. It’s raining. She’s excited to change her plan. She goes to the supermarket to buy groceries. Because the discount is great on rainy days. She tries to take the salmon. But her sister Hyun-Joo stops her. Hyun-Joo asks Hyun-Jin to wait ten seconds. The closing time sale begins. Hyun-Jin takes the salmon. She praises Hyun-Joo. The two walk out of the supermarket. Hyun-Joo opens a yellow umbrella. She and Hyun-Jin are very happy.
Hyun-Jin and Hyun-Joo return home. Hyun-Joo brings the pancake to Hyun-Jin. They have dinner together. Hyun-Jin tastes the pancake. She thinks the restaurant cannot cook it. She tells Hyun-Joo that her pancake tastes better. Hyun-Joo asks Hyun-Jin if she took on more odd jobs. Hyun-Jin denies it. Hyun-Joo learns that Hyun-Jin didn’t join BS Food. She mentions she didn’t pick up her phone. Hyun-Jin explains it to Hyun-Joo that the competition for the job was fierce. She promises her that she will get a job before she graduates. Hyun-Joo thinks Hyun-Jin doesn’t have to be in a hurry. Because she’s young and she has the umbrella Hyun-Joo that she can rely on. Hyun-Jin points out that she’s not young anymore. She mentions she’s the first place in the school. She thinks the chili mayonnaise is the point. Hyun-Joo goes to get the chili mayonnaise. Someone calls Hyun-Joo. Hyun-Jin goes to take the cell photo for her sister. She finds a ring from Hyun-Joo’s bag.
Hyun-Jin studies in her room. She takes a look at Hyun-Joo who falls asleep in the bed. She goes to the police station to see Woo-Jin. Outside the police station, Hyun-Jin tells Woo-Jin that her sister didn’t tell her that he made a proposal to her. She thinks it was because of her. He can understand it because the two sisters got along well. Hyun-Jin offers to arrange a meeting ceremony. She asks Woo-Jin to call his family over.
Tae-Hyeong drinks with his colleagues at a nightclub. The two girls are interested in the guy. Because the filming went smoothly because of him. But the photographer looks down on Tae-Hyeong. He brings up that Tae-Hyeong didn’t attend college. So he has to work under him.
The next day, Tae-Hyeong wakes up in a room. Eui-Joon calls Tae-Hyeong. He praises him. Tae-Hyeong remembers he scolded the photographer. He promised to pay the bill. He receives a message from the photographer. The photographer informs Tae-Hyeong that he’s fired.
Hyun-Jin, Woo-Jin and Hyun-Joo go to the bridal shop to pick out a wedding dress. Hyun-Joo leafs through a magazine. She sees the light photo. She thinks the light is very beautiful. At the school, Hyun-Jin wants to buy the light. But it’s too expensive. Se-Yeon joins Hyun-Jin. Hyun-Jin shows Se-Yeon the light photo. Se-Yeon recognizes the light immediately. Hyun-Jin reveals her sister liked the light very much.
Tae-Hyeong’s friends visit Tae-Hyeong. Tae-Hyeong needs the money to pay the bill. So one of his friends takes a photo of the light. He uploads the photo to the App Bell Pepper. Se-Yeon and Hyun-Jin see the photo. They contact the seller. They decide the meeting location.
Hyun-Jin meets Tae-Hyeong at the subway station. She tries to haggle over the price. But he’s not a fool. So she checks the light at the cafe for finding the flaws. But she and Tae-Hyeong fall down when they argue. The light falls down as well. Fortunately, Tae-Hyeong catches the light. But the bulb is broken. The two are unhappy to part ways. He finds out that he takes her cell phone.
Tae-Hyeong returns home. Hyun-Jin texts him. She asks him to return her cell phone to her. She threatens to call the police. She tells him that her son-in-law is a cop. They agree to have a meeting up then. He takes a look at her cell phone. He sees the wedding photo on her cell phone. He recognizes the man Woo-Jin. Woo-Jin is his brother. Tae-Hyeong remembers Woo-Jin gave up on him when he was a kid.
Woo-Jin, Hyun-Jin and Hyun-Joo have a meeting at a restaurant. Hyun-Jin volunteers to pay the bill. Tae-Hyeong shows up. He ruins the Greeting Ceremony. Outside the room, Tae-Hyeong thanks Hyun-Jin for helping him find his brother. But she tells him that Woo-Jin never mentioned him.
In the room, Hyun-Joo knows Tae-Hyeong is the brother Woo-Jin mentioned. Woo-Jin thinks he needs to have a talk with Tae-Hyeong. Tae-Hyeong returns. He notices the family cake on the table. His name isn’t on the cake. Hyun-Joo asks Tae-Hyeong about his job. He lets Woo-Jin guess it. He tells Hyun-Joo that he’s a photographer. She praises him. She asks him how old he is. He laughs. He learns that Woo-Jin never mentioned him. Woo-Jin asks Tae-Hyeong to have a talk with him outside. Tae-Hyeong thinks Woo-Jin worries that he will speak out that he left him at the orphanage. He tells Hyun-Joo that her fiance likes to give up on people. Woo-Jin will abandon his family when he has a hard time. He asks Hyun-Joo not to trust Woo-Jin.
Outside the restaurant, Woo-Jin stops Tae-Hyeong. Tae-Hyeong tells Woo-Jin that he became a photographer because the last birthday present he gave him was a camera. He believed his stupid lie. He erased him from his life, and he got a family. He doesn’t know what he expects. He tells him that he won’t wait for him. He gives up on him this time. He cannot bless them. He offers not to see each other again.
Tae-Hyeong returns home. He takes out the camera. He remembers Woo-Jin took him to buy camera at the store. He takes a look at the group photos. He remembers Woo-Jin helped him celebrate his birthday at a restaurant. He took him to the Moonlight Orphanage. Woo-Jin told Tae-Hyeong that he will come to pick him up once the rain stops. He left the orphanage. Tae-Hyeong waited for Woo-Jin at the orphanage. But Woo-Jin didn’t come back. Tae-Hyeong throws the camera and the photos into the trash can.
The next day, Woo-Jin and Hyun-Joo get married. Hyun-Jin and Se-Yeon attend the wedding. Hyun-Jin takes a look at the empty seat. She doesn’t expect that Tae-Hyeong didn’t come. She joins Woo-Jin and Hyun-Joo. They take a wedding photo together.
Three years later, Tae-Hyeong and Hyun-Jin find jobs. Tae-Hyeong buys a new house. He thinks the house and money won’t betray him. Hyun-Jin meets the boss at the company. She doesn’t understand why she didn’t become a regular employee. She’s told that she has no advantage.
Outside the company, Hyun-Jin doesn’t know how to explain it to her sister. Hyun-Joo calls Hyun-Jin. In the house, Hyun-Joo prepares a lot of dishes for Hyun-Jin. She notices that she didn’t eat well. Hyun-Jin denies it. She brags it to Hyun-Joo that she needed to work overtime after she became a regular employee. Hyun-Joo asks Hyun-Jin to return to Seoul. She reveals she found the materials she prepared when she applied for a job at BS Food. She thinks she can leverage her professional expertise. She asks her to come home. She wants to be her supporter.
Hyun-Jin is on the way to the bathroom. She notices the room her sister prepared for her. She learns that Hyun-Joo wants her to live in the room. She wonders when she knew she didn’t become a regular employee. She thinks she played her like a fool. She tells her that she’s utterly pitiable. She guesses she prepared the room for her because she thought she cannot stand on her own two feet. She blames her for making her be her burden. She tells her that it’s too heavy. She wishes she’s alone. She doesn’t want to be Hyun-Joo’s sister. She just wants to be Hyun-Jin. Hyun-Joo persuades Hyun-Jin not to say the words that she will regret it. Hyun-Jin thinks she won’t regret it. She’s confident that she won’t move into the house. She asks Hyun-Joo not to care for her.
Hyun-Jin leaves Hyun-Joo’s house. She sits at the bus stop. She thinks she did something stupid because of her pride.
A few days later, Woo-Jin is going to leave the police station for seeing Hyun-Joo. It’s their wedding anniversary. He receives a message from someone that his father is released on parole. He calls Tae-Hyeong. Woo-Jin and Hyun-Joo are in the car. Hyun-Joo cannot reach. She notices that Woo-Jin is thinking about something. She asks him if something happened. He denies it. She figures it out that it’s related to Tae-Hyeong. She brings up that he’s nervous when mentioning the guy. She asks him if he’s not ready to talk about Tae-Hyeong’s case. He tries to tell something to her. But the car is hit by the truck.
Hyun-Joo and Woo-Jin die in the car accident. Tae-Hyeong and Hyun-Jin learn of the deaths. Hyun-Jin attends the funeral. She remembers she hurt her sister with the words. She tells Hyun-Joo that she lied to her. She thinks she shouldn’t have believed it and left. Tae-Hyeong arrives at the funeral. He sees Hyun-Jin crying. Woo-Joo shows up. He’s the son of Hyun-Joo and Woo-Jin. He survived the car accident. He cries. Hyun-Jin tries to hold the baby. But he runs to Tae-Hyeong. Tae-Hyeong bumps Hyun-Jin for protecting Woo-Joo. She falls down. Her arm is hurt. She’s taken to the hospital.
Tae-Hyeong looks at Woo-Jin’s photo. He tells Woo-Jin that he will erase him from his life. Woo-Jin’s colleagues come to pay their respect. One of the colleagues tells Tae-Hyeong that his brother is a good person. Woo-Joo tangles Tae-Hyeong. Tae-Hyeong asks the baby to go aside. It makes Woo-Joo cry. Tae-Hyeong feeds Woo-Joo a piece of chocolate. Woo-Joo spits the chocolate on Tae-Hyeong.
Hyun-Jin comes back after Tae-Hyeong washed his clothes. She tells him that her wrist sprained. She needs to use a splint for immobilization. She finds out that he put the baby into the bucket in the restroom. She asks him why he did it. He blames her for leaving the baby with him.
Se-Yeon arrives at the funeral. She gives Hyun-Jin a hug. Hyun-Jin prepares a meal for Se-Yeon. But Se-Yeon doesn’t eat it. She knows Hyun-Jin worked very hard. Hyun-Jin nods. But she’s not the only bereaved family head. Se-Yeon learns that the guy is Hyun-Jin’s in-law. He helped Hyun-Jin a lot. Hyun-Jin reveals Tae-Hyeong selected the urn and burial garments for her when she went to the hospital. He even selected her sister’s coffin. Se-Yeon notices that Hyun-Jin’s wrist was hurt. Hyun-Jin tells Se-Yeon that it was because of the guy. Tae-Hyeong overhears the talk. He helps Hyun-Jin carry the plate.

Tae-Hyeong and Hyun-Jin are going to take Woo-Joo to leave the funeral home. They run into the guy. The guy plans to send Woo-Joo to the Children’s Placement Agency if Tae-Hyeong and Hyun-Jin don’t want to raise the baby. Tae-Hyeong claims that he won’t raise the baby. He walks away. Hyun-Jin volunteers to do it. She walks out of the funeral home with Woo-Joo. Tae-Hyeong helps her put the bag into the taxi. He tells her that it’s his last moral. He doesn’t want to see her and the baby.
