Hyun-Jin screams after she returned home in Our Universe episode 7. Yoon-Seong shows up. He hugs the girl. He asks her if she’s fine. He turns on the light. He sees the guy. He asks him who he is. He thinks he broke into someone else’s home. The man explains that he just wanted to wait someone at the door. But he found out that the door was open. He apologizes to Hyun-Jin for startling her. But Yoon-Seong tells the man Gyu-Tae to go to the police station to make excuses.
Gyu-Tae wonders if the place is Woo-Jin’s home. Hyun-Jin asks him how he knew her son-in-law’s name. Tae-Hyeong is on the way home. He calls Hyun-Jin. He wants her to pick up the phone. In the house, Gyu-Tae introduces himself as Woo-Jin’s father. Tae-Hyeong runs home. He asks Yoon-Seong about Hyun-Jin. He gets into the house. He sees the girl. He asks her if she was hurt. He blames her for not picking up his phone. He tells her that he worried about her very much. He sees his father who sits on the couch.
Gyu-Tae recognizes Tae-Hyeong. He cries. He tries to touch his face. But Tae-Hyeong shakes off Gyu-Tae’s hand. He asks him who he is. Hyun-Jin tells Tae-Hyeong that the man is his father. Gyu-Tae apologizes to Tae-Hyeong. He thinks he’s too late.
Hyun-Jin sees Yoon-Seong off outside the building. She tells him that she’s fine. But he thinks it’s a big case that the thief was someone else. He just contacted the police. He mentions what the police said that she should call them if she finds out that something is missing. She nods. She thanks him. He asks her about Woo-Joo. She reveals the kid is at the neighbor’s house. She will pick the kid home when she goes upstairs. He expresses that he worries about her because the thief isn’t caught. But she asks him to go home. She will contact him if something happens.
In the house, Gyu-Tae feels guilty for abandoning Tae-Hyeong and Woo-Jin. He asks Tae-Hyeong if he hated him. Tae-Hyeong denies it. Because he didn’t wait for him. He asks him for his goal to come to the house. Gyu-Tae tells Tae-Hyeong that he just wants to know if he lived well. Tae-Hyeong asks his father to leave. Gyu-Tae understands Tae-Hyeong’s feelings. He leaves the house.
Hyun-Jin goes to Ji-Hyun’s house to pick up Woo-Joo. She tells Ji-Hyun that the thief visited her house. Ji-Hyun worries about Hyun-Jin. Hyun-Jin gets Woo-Joo to say goodbye to Ji-Hyun. The two return home. Tae-Hyeong learns that Woo-Joo had a great time. Hyun-Jin asks Tae-Hyeong if he’s fine. He believes that she was startled. She admits it. He notices that her hand was hurt.
Tae-Hyeong asks Hyun-Jin to show him her hand in the room. She’s surprised that she was hurt. He dresses her wound. She figures it out that she scraped his skin when she fell down. He points out that she’s bleeding. He apologizes to her. He thinks her injury was caused by him. She thinks he doesn’t have to apologize to her. She knows he’s upset. He tells her that the guy is just a stranger. He thinks he should have come early. He leaves her room. Tae-Hyeong returns to his room. He remembers the people gave him a hard time because his father took their money. He saw his father fleeing.
The next day, Tae-Hyeong meets Gyu-Tae at a cafe. Gyu-Tae prepares a glass of juice for Tae-Hyeong. Because he knows he likes it. Tae-Hyeong tells his father that he doesn’t want him to visit him again. He brings up that he abandoned him for the money. He wonders if he wants him to treat him as father. He thinks it’s heartless. He asks him if he knows how he got through these years. Tae-Hyeong tries to leave. But Gyu-Tae stops Tae-Hyeong. He knows he was shameless to visit him. But he asks him to give him a chance. He wants to try to be a good father. But Tae-Hyeong thinks Gyu-Tae doesn’t have to do that. He shakes off his hand. He claims that he wiped his family away from his life. Gyu-Tae gets on his knees to Tae-Hyeong. But Tae-Hyeong doesn’t soften his heart.
At BS Food, Yoon-Seong walks into the office. He brings a good news to the colleagues that their project became the featured project. They will get generous bonuses once they complete the project. It’s a great chance. Tae-Hyeong takes Woo-Joo to go out. He wants to take the kid to the kindergarten. But the kid cries. Ae-Ja notices that Woo-Joo doesn’t want to go to the kindergarten. She volunteers to take care of the kid. Du-Sik persuades Tae-Hyeong to hire his mother. Ae-Ja scolds Du-Sik. She takes over the kid from Tae-Hyeong.
Hyun-Jin picks up Woo-Joo from the kindergarten. He sees Yoon-Seong. Hyun-Jin and Woo-Joo are in Yoon-Seong’s car. Hyun-Jin thanks Yoon-Seong for giving them a ride. He explains it to her that he did it because he gave her a lot of work. She laughs. She agrees with what he said. He thinks she’s tired to pick up Woo-Joo every day. She reveals she would pick up Woo-Joo when she was free. She thinks the time they spent together isn’t enough. She wants to talk with him even if they’re on the way home. Yoon-Seong praises Hyun-Jin. He thinks she’s very handsome.
Yoon-Seong drives the car to Hyun-Jin’s house. He wants to go upstairs. Woo-Joo rejects it for his aunt. Yoon-Seong changes the lock for Hyun-Jin. She doesn’t expect that he wanted to do that. It promotes him to wonder what she thought. She claims that she thought about nothing. He asks her for a drill. She tries to take the toolbox from a shelf. But she cannot reach the toolbox. He helps her take the toolbox. She turns around. She looks at him. Tae-Hyeong returns home. He sees Yoon-Seong. He questions him why he’s at his house at the time.
Hyun-Jin explains it to Tae-Hyeong that Yoon-Seong wanted to help them change the lock. After all, Yoon-Seong is the landlord. Yoon-Seong and Tae-Hyeong team up to change the lock. Yoon-Seong notices that Tae-Hyeong and Hyun-Jin became a family.
Yoon-Seong and Tae-Hyeong walk out of the building. Yoon-Seong asks Tae-Hyeong to inform him if something happens to Hyun-Jin. He worries about the girl. Tae-Hyeong thinks Yoon-Seong doesn’t have to worry about Hyun-Jin. Because he will worry about the girl on his own. He asks Yoon-Seong not to care for other people’s business. But Yoon-Seong claims that he won’t let Hyun-Jin be hurt. He asks Tae-Hyeong if he can promise it. He worries that Tae-Hyeong’s father will hurt Hyun-Jin. He asks Tae-Hyeong to protect the girl.
The next day, Tae-Hyeong visits Eui-Joon. He reveals his father visited him. He worries that he will ruin her new family. Outside Hyun-Jin’s house, Gyu-Tae helps Ae-Ja and Ji-Hyun carry a table. Ji-Hyun tells Ae-Ja that Gyu-Tae is Woo-Joo’s grandpa. She wonders why Gyu-Tae is there. He reveals Tae-Hyeong didn’t want to see him. He hasn’t been a good father because he was busy in making money. He wants to see Tae-Hyeong from afar.
Hyun-Jin shows up with Woo-Joo. Gyu-Tae apologizes to Hyun-Jin. He thinks he startled her. He holds Woo-Joo. He thinks he’s like Woo-Jin. He tells Hyun-Jin that he wants to see Tae-Hyeong. She persuades him to give Tae-Hyeong some time.
Hyun-Jin and Woo-Joo return home. Hyun-Jin confesses to Tae-Hyeong that she saw his father. He mistakes that Gyu-Tae asked her for some money. But the guy didn’t say anything. He was very happy after he saw Woo-Joo. Hyun-Jin heard that Tae-Hyeong told Gyu-Tae not to see each other. Gyu-Tae came because he wanted to see Tae-Hyeong.
Tae-Hyeong mentions what he said that he wants to cut ties with Gyu-Tae. He doesn’t understand why Hyun-Jin listened to the guy’s words. She explains it to him that she couldn’t reject it when the elder wanted to talk with her. She reminds him that the person is his father. She persuades him to listen to Gyu-Tae’s explanation. But he refuses to listen to the explanation. Because Gyu-Tae and Woo-Jin are the same kind of people. Hyun-Jin believes that Woo-Jin had his reason. Tae-Hyeong doesn’t understand why his father and his brother abandoned him one by one. He knew Woo-Jin won’t come back when Woo-Jin told him that he will come back to pick him up. He mistook that Hyun-Jin would take his side. He returns to his room.
The next day, Yoon-Seong finds out that they and their competitor have same idea in the office at BS Food. In the restroom, the colleagues think Hyun-Jin stole the papers, and she gave it to the competitor. Hyun-Jin tries to prove her innocence. But she doesn’t have evidence. She feels wronged.
Outside the company, Hyun-Jin learns that the colleagues don’t trust her. She cries. Yoon-Seong finds her. She wipes off her tears. She claims that she just stepped outside for some fresh air. He hands over his handkerchief to her. He persuades her not to care for the words. He thinks she did a good job. She claims that she’s fine. He tells her that she doesn’t want to put on a brave face in front of him. He thinks she can tell it to her if she’s tired. He asks her to rely on him. He hopes he can become her a little comfort. She nods.
Tae-Hyeong has a meeting with Yoon-Seong in the meeting room. Yoon-Seong decides to change the plan since the previous plan was leaked. Tae-Hyeong waits for Hyun-Jin at the company. He overhears that the employees think she’s a spy. Hyun-Jin shows up. He thinks she needs to work overtime. She admits it. He thinks he shouldn’t have thrown a fit to her yesterday. But she says that she talked nonsense because she didn’t know the details. Yoon-Seong calls her away. Yoon-Seong and Hyun-Jin have a meeting with CEO. CEO goes against it after knowing Hyun-Jin will give a briefing. He has someone in mind. But he agrees after Yoon-Seong offered to let the two compete.
In the evening, Tae-Hyeong returns to the apartment. He sees Gyu-Tae helping the neighbor picking up the trash. Gyu-Tae greets Tae-Hyeong. But Tae-Hyeong ignores his father. He walks away. At BS Food, Hyun-Jin works in the office. She finds out that it’s very late. She leaves the company. Yoon-Seong is waiting for her in his car. She gets in his car.
Tae-Hyeong is at home with Woo-Joo. He calls Hyun-Jin. She doesn’t pick up his phone. Hyun-Jin arrives home. Yoon-Seong asks her to tell him if she needs his help. But she doesn’t want to accept his help. She wants to achieve it through her own abilities. He agrees. He tells her that he trusts her. But she should know that he will be always behind her. Tae-Hyeong knocks at the car window. Hyun-Jin sees him and Woo-Joo. He tells her that he worried about her because she didn’t pick up his phone. She gets off the car. Tae-Hyeong thanks Yoon-Seong for driving Hyun-Jin home. Yoon-Seong asks Hyun-Jin to date him after the project.
In the house, Tae-Hyeong asks Hyun-Jin if she still has feelings for Yoon-Seong. He wonders if she forgets his feelings for her. He reminds her that he’s by her side. Woo-Joo wakes up. She goes to take care of him.
The next day, Hyun-Jin wakes up. Tae-Hyeong has made the breakfast. She has breakfast with him. She finds out that it’s delicious. He asks her if something happened. She says that she was very busy because she needs to defeat someone. He remembers the employee badmouthed her. She confesses it to him that she was bullied at the company. He’s furious to take her side. He offers to go to his studio to let the models taste the food. She thinks it’s a good idea. But she wonders who will take care of Woo-Joo.
Hyun-Jin calls Du-Sik. She wants him to take care of Woo-Joo. But he and Ae-Ja are hiking. He reminds her that Woo-Joo’s grandpa can take care of Woo-Joo. Gyu-Tae takes care of Woo-Joo. Tae-Hyeong and Hyun-Jin go out into the wild to take photos. Tae-Hyeong takes photos of the models. Hyun-Jin catches the chance to treat the models to rice cakes.

It’s raining. Tae-Hyeong takes Hyun-Jin to take shelter from the rain. She’s very happy after she noticed that he likes rain. He holds her hand by mistake. She finds out that his clothes are wet. But he doesn’t care for it. He tells her that he wants to accompany her after the rain. She wants to accompany him as well.
The next day, Hyun-Jin gives a presentation in the meeting room. CEO likes her idea very much. She washes her face in the restroom. She remembers Yoon-Seong told her in the office that they got the briefing. She smiles when she looks at herself in the mirror. She receives a message from Tae-Hyeong. He wants to know if she made it. He’s very happy after knowing she made it. He takes Woo-Joo to the cake shop. Woo-Joo chooses a cake for Hyun-Jin. Hyun-Jin is on the way home. It’s raining suddenly. Yoon-Seong shows up with an umbrella. He confesses his feelings to her.
