Mrs. Zhu summons Xiao Qiao in The Prisoner of Beauty Chinese Drama Episode 10. She asks her if she used the budget of the candle. Xiao Qiao admits it. She reveals she wants to replace the yellow wax with the beeswax so that there will be less smoke. Mrs. Zhu is furious to scold Xiao Qiao for spending money recklessly. Xiao Qiao explains it to Mrs. Zhu that they don’t have to spend more because there’s a balance on the account.
Wei Liang breaks into the palace in The Prisoner of Beauty. He reports to Wei Shao that he got Xiao Qiao’s letter. Wei Shao reads the letter. He learns that his wife asked her aunt for the sleeping prescription. Wei Shao puts down the letter. He leaves the palace. The generals study the letter. They think it’s a useless information. But Wei Qu suspects that there’s a secret information in the letter. Gongsun Yang scolds the generals. He drives them away. He smiles after he realized something.
Xiao Qiao Refuses to Let Wei Shao Take Zheng Shu As His Concubine
Xiao Qiao is studying the candles with Xiao Tao and Chun Niang in the room. Xiao Tao reveals she bought the candles from the stores in The Prisoner of Beauty. Chun Niang thinks it’s a bad idea to go to buy candles since they have a lot of candles. Wei Shao returns home when his wife is testing the candle. She reveals she plans to change the candles in the house because it produces a lot of smoke. But he asks her not to spy on his privacy. She denies it. Xiao Tao claims that her lady spent her own money to buy the candles. Wei Shao promises to give some money to Xiao Qiao. He thinks he can pay the candle fee.
Zheng Shu meets with Mrs. Zhu. She reports to her aunt that Mrs. Xu scolded Xiao Qiao for taking Boya for Qiao family. Mrs. Zhu is very happy after knowing Xiao Qiao offended her mother-in-law. She thinks they can take a concubine for Wei Shao. Zheng Shu suggests that Mrs. Zhu should ask Xiao Qiao to accept the marriage. Mrs. Zhu meets with Xiao Qiao. She puts the marriage contract on the table. She asks her to prepare the wedding for Wei Shao and Zheng Shu. But Xiao Qiao claims that she cannot make the decision because she needs to ask her husband about it.
But Mrs. Zhu knows Xiao Qiao doesn’t wish Wei Shao to take a concubine. She reminds the girl that Wei Shao needs to give birth for Wei family. But Xiao Qiao tells the truth to Mrs. Zhu that Grandmother and her husband went against it when she mentioned the case. Mrs. Zhu blames Xiao Qiao for using the two to suppress her. She knows her son refused to take a concubine because of Xiao Qiao. She promises to let Xiao Qiao decide other things as long as she helps Wei Shao take Zhu Shu.
Xiao Qiao thinks Mrs. Zhu is very smart. She admits that she was the one who stopped her husband. She reveals she fell for her husband when she saw him the first time. She praises her husband for ignoring the revenge of the two families. She mentions the guy was nice to her when they were in Capital Xin. She swore to accompany him all her life after he saved her in Panyi. Mrs. Zhu cannot stand it. She refuses to listen to Xiao Qiao’s feelings for her son.
Xiao Qiao feels guilty for loving Wei Shao too much. She confesses it to Mrs. Zhu that she doesn’t want to share her husband with another woman. She thinks there’s no newly married woman wishing to see her mother-in-law helping her take a concubine. She asks Mrs. Zhu to punish her. She claims that she won’t let Zheng Shu join her family even if she dies.
Xiao Qiao Denies It When Wei Shao Thinks She Has Feelings for Him
Wei Shao summons Xiao Qiao to his study after knowing his wife told his mother that she has feelings for him. He asks her if what she said is true. She explains it to him that she did it for his wish. He wonders if she didn’t fear his mother would blame her. She claims that she didn’t wish him to do the thing he doesn’t want to do. She thinks he should make the decision on his own because he’s the master of Wei Nation. She knows she cannot stop him if he wants to take Zheng Shu. She reveals she wouldn’t let others force him if he doesn’t wish to do that. He thinks her mouth is so sweet. She figures it out that he’s praising her. She’s very happy. But he claims that they’re not ordinary couple. He asks her not to tempt him with her beauty.
Mrs. Zhu gets angry after Xiao Qiao made the excuse for stopping her. Zheng Shu begs her aunt to marry her off. She tells her that she will remember her. She promises to visit her often. Mrs. Zhu stops Zheng Shu from leaving. She reminds her that she cannot deal with Xiao Qiao alone if she leaves. Zheng Shu asks her aunt to come up with an idea. Mrs. Zhu takes Zheng Shu to sit on the bed. She whispers in her ear. Zheng Shu goes against it after knowing her aunt’s plan. Mrs. Zhu claims that she cannot help Zheng Shu if Zheng Shu doesn’t choose the path. Zheng Shu promises to listen to her aunt.
Wei Shao Blames His Mother for Setting Him Up
Mrs. Zhu and Wei Shao drink in the yard. The maid Jiang Ao reminds Mrs. Zhu that she needs to go to take medicine. She takes her away. Wei Shao feels dizzy after he drank. Jiang Ao returns. She reports it to Wei Shao that his mother had a headache after she took the medicine. She takes him to his mother’s room. But she locks the door outside after he walked into the room. He walks to the bed and he pulls back the curtain. He finds out that the woman who lies in the bed is Zheng Shu.
Zheng Shu wears a red dress. She asks Wei Shao if her dress is nice. She hugs him and she offers to take him to the bed. He’s furious to push her away. He asks her to wear the clothes. But she hugs him again from his back. She explains it to him that she was forced. But she wants to comfort him. She begs him not to leave. He pushes her over and he breaks the door.
Wei Shao walks out of the room. Jiang Ao tries to stop him from leaving. He shakes her off. Mrs. Zhu tries to explain it when she cries. Wei Shao blames his mother for setting him up with the outsiders. He leaves. The two maids show up. Mrs. Zhu scolds the maids. She threatens to rip their mouths if they leak it. She walks into the room when Zheng Shu is tearing up on the floor.
Wei Shao Tries to Sleep with His Wife
Wei Shao manages to return to his room. Xiao Qiao shows up when he’s drinking water. She offers to call a doctor for him. He goes against it and he tells her that he doesn’t wish others to see him. She goes to close the doors. He asks her for more water. She goes to get water. He remembers Gongsun Yang told him that what he’s missing is Xiao Qiao. He grabs the water from Xiao Qiao. She notes that his clothes are wet. She tries to change it for him. But he holds her hand.
Wei Shao mentions he promised Xiao Qiao that he won’t let her have no place to stay no matter the relationship of him and Qiao family. He carries her to the bed. She resists him strongly and she slaps him. She mentions he promised her that he allows her to be in mourning for her grandfather for one year. He apologizes to her. He explains it to her that he ate the dirty food from his mother’s place. He asks her for some ice when he grabs his fist tightly.

Xiao Qiao carries a bucket of ice into the bathroom. She hands it over to Wei Shao. Wei Shao is in a bathtub. He puts the ice into the water. He asks her for a cup of water. She hands over the water to him. But he doesn’t hold the cup steady. The cup falls to the floor. She gets another cup of water for him. He drinks the water. She notes the injuries on his arms. She hands over the clothes to him. She asks him if the injuries were left when he was in Xiaogang. But he thinks the injuries are nothing. She runs out of the bathroom after knowing he felt better.
Wei Shao Asks His Mother to Send Zheng Shu Away
Xiao Qiao sits on the bed. She takes a look at Wei Shao who falls asleep in another bed. The next day, he wakes up. He looks at her bed. He learns that she left. He sees the clothes she prepared for him. He wears the clothes. He hears Xiao Qiao tells the maids that he caught a cold last night. She returns to the room. She asks him if he recovers. He doesn’t understand what she says. She explains it to him that he used the ice because his old injury relapsed. She reveals she told the maids to cook ginger soup for him. He tries to approach her. But she’s startled to step back.

Wei Shao goes to see his mother. Mrs. Zhu cries after she knew her mistake. She worries that his son won’t recognize her. She tries to touch him. But he steps back. He gives her three days and he persuades her not to do the stupid thing again. He leaves her room. She cries.
