Wei Shao changes his mind after he found out that Xiao Qiao is so beautiful in The Prisoner of Beauty Chinese Drama Episode 2. He lets Xiao Tan give the present to Xiao Qiao. Mr. Chen persuades Xiao Qiao to give the city seal to Wei Shao. Because he thinks the guy has feelings for her.
But Xiao Qiao knows Wei Shao gave the present to her for threatening her. The guy has targeted Panyi for a long time. He will get it on his own even if she doesn’t give it to him. Mr. Chen agrees to what Xiao Qiao said. He thinks it’s nothing even if they give out the city. He thinks the marquis won’t break the promise. But she points out that the resentment of the two family because Qiao family broke the promise. She thinks they should know what Wei Shao wants.
Xiao Qiao is studying in the yard. She asks the maid what kind of person Wei Shao is. The maid reveals Wei Shao is a cruel man. The maid walked out of the house with her mother. She ran into the general. She smelled it from the box. He revealed Li Su is in the box. She didn’t believe it because she knew Li Su is very tall. Another general revealed Li Su’s legs and arms were cut. He asked the maid if she wants to check it. She saw the blood on the ground. She vomited. The maid’s mother begged the generals to forgive them. The general claimed that their boss isn’t a good person.
Xiao Qiao isn’t surprised that Li Su got the ending. She wants to know how Wei Shao treated the citizens. Xiao Zao reveals Wei Shao wasn’t nice to the citizens. Xiao Qiao learns that Wei Shao didn’t let the citizens pray. She wonders how Wei Shao treated the people who around him. The maid reveals the guy didn’t trust anyone.
Wei Shao holds his sword when he is sleeping. He sees his grandfather being killed. He wakes up from the nightmare. He asks who’s outside his tent. Wei Xiao wants to add lamp oil for Wei Shao. Wei Shao rejects it. The general reminds Wei Xiao that their boss doesn’t wish anyone to know that he needs lights when he sleeps. He thinks Wei Shao fears the dark because he was locked up in the wooden box.
Wei Shao and Gongsun Yang walk on the street. Wei Shao throws a fit to the soldier because he didn’t count the households. Gongsun Yang persuades Wei Shao to be patience because the citizens were bullied by Li Su. Xiao Zao takes Xiao Qiao to the bridge. The people persuade Xiao Qiao to marry Wei Shao so that Wei Shao won’t kill them.
Xiao Qiao is on the bridge. She overlooks the whole city. Wei Shao is talking about something with Gongsun Yang. The two ladies pass by. They mention the girl in red. They think the girl is Xiao Qiao. They believe there’s no battle if Xiao Qiao marries Wei Shao.
Wei Shao stares at Xiao Qiao. He thinks she’s showing off her beauty. She greets him. Xiao Zao joins Xiao Qiao. Xiao Qiao decides to get married in Capital Xin. Because she has found the method to defeat Wei Shao. Xiao Zao helps the guy up after he was pushed by someone. She reveals her master’s carriage was blocked by a deep pit. She claims that she will pay anyone who helps her master. Many people join her.
Wei Xiao reports to Wei Shao that the citizens went to fix the road after Xiao Qiao bought them. Wei Shao returns home. He sees the people giving flowers to Xiao Qiao. He stares at Xiao Qiao. She notes that he’s looking at her. She’s startled.
The two have a meeting. She persuades him that the people will like him if he marries her. But he asks her to follow the people’s heart to give the city seal to him. He tells her that he hates her because she played with the people’s hearts. He claims that he’s not a fool like his grandfather. He asks her to make the decision. He leaves. The maid joins Xiao Qiao. She thinks the guy is heartless. Xiao Qiao thinks Wei Shao cannot be trusted if he was convinced so easy. She decides not to give up.
Wei Shao goes out with his followers. One of the followers thinks Wei Shao got angry because Xiao Qiao did the thing he failed to do. Wei Shao almost hits the vendor with the horse hooves for not hurting the kid. The vendor is scared to give the flowers to Wei Shao. He tells him that the flowers aren’t for Xiao Qiao.
The people visit the magistrate. They ask him to protect them. Because they worry that Wei Shao will kill them. But the magistrate tells them that he’s not their magistrate anymore. Gongsun Yang and Wei Shao are on the bridge. Gongsun Yang persuades Wei Shao that he needs the citizens’ help.
Mrs. Xu’s follower Zhong Ao takes Xiao Qiao to the citizens wall. She reveals there were many people losing their families. But Li Su disallowed them to bury their families. So they went to the battlefield and they found the relics of their families. The wall was built of the relics. But people treated the place as a blessing area. They forgot the original meaning.
Zhong Ao gives the wishing tablet to Xiao Qiao. She wishes her to marry Wei Shao. She leaves. Wei Shao arrives with his followers. He gets angry after he saw the stuff. Gongsun Yang explains it to his master that the habit is hard to change.
Wei Shao sees Xiao Qiao. He walks to her and he asks her what she’s doing there. She greets him and she explains it to him that she’s blessing for the people. He yells at her when he asks her if she knows why the wall was built. He scolds the people for letting Xiao Qiao bless there.
He orders to burn the stuff. The magistrate pulls out his knife. He attacks Wei Shao. He’s not Wei Shao’s rival. He’s defeated. He’s arrested and he thinks Wei Shao doesn’t deserve the master of Capital Xin. Wei Shao picks up the knife. He tries to kill the magistrate Zhen Zhi. Gongsun Yang stops Wei Shao. He reveals Zhen Zhi surrendered for the citizens. The people beg Wei Shao to forgive the magistrate. They think the guy is a good official.
Xiao Qiao is in her room. She remembers Zhong Ao told her that Wei Shao cannot let it go because he witnessed his family and the citizens being killed. It’s the meaning why Mrs. Xu wishes to have a marriage with Yan State. The old madam feels sorry for Wei Shao. She wishes him to let the past go. Xiao Qiao realizes what Wei Shao needs.
Zhen Zhi is taken to Wei Shao’s tent. Zhen Zhi scolds Wei Shao because he thinks he’s not better than Li Su. He mentions he forced the people to give food and girls to him. The general Wei Duo puts his sword on Zhen Zhi’s neck. But Zhen Zhi doesn’t fear it.
The followers persuade Wei Shao to kill Zhen Zhi. Gongsun Yang goes against it. Xiao Qiao shows up. She claims that she wants to tell something to Wei Shao. Wei Shao lets her in. She suggests he kills the people so that they will get married. Zhen Zhi gets angry after he realizes that Xiao Qiao is so evil.
Wei Shao pulls out his sword. He puts the sword on Xiao Qiao’s neck. Her hair is cut and it falls to the floor. He claims that he’s not different from Li Su if he listens to her. Gongsun Yang comforts Wei Shao. Xiao Qiao asks Wei Shao to forgive her. She thinks she knows nothing. But he swears not to forgive her. She leaves.
Wei Shao tells the people that he won’t believe Xiao Qiao. He cuts the ropes on Zhen Zhi. He thinks Zhen Zhi did nothing wrong. Zhen Zhi gets on his knees to Wei Shao. He cries. He thinks Capital Xin comes back in the end. Wei Shao rides horse on the street. He sees the people throwing the vegetables at Xiao Qiao’s carriage. He learns that the girl cannot return home because the people surround her house. The people persuade Wei Shao not to marry the girl because they think she’s bad. But Wei Shao asks the people to leave.
Wei Shao joins Xiao Qiao on the bridge. He sees the injury on her neck. He knows she acted for helping him. But he dislikes the trick. He thinks she’s better than her grandfather because she knew to pay something when she acted. He leaves the ointment for her injury. She follows him and she gives the wishing tablet to him. He leaves.
Wei Shao is in his tent. He looks at the wishing tablet. Wei Xiao sees that his master in interested in the girl. The people are anxious because they didn’t get the food. Wei Shao comforts them that everyone will get food. Gongsun Yang reports to Wei Shao that they’re short of food. But Wei Shao has promised the citizens. Gongsun Yang reminds Wei Shao that they can get a city without any problem. Wei Shao takes a look at the map of Panyi.
Wei Shao goes to the citizens wall. He asks Wei Liang to pull down the wall. The maid has a meeting with Xiao Qiao. She thinks Wei Shao isn’t bad because he shared the food with the citizens. But Xiao Qiao worries about it. Because she can rely on nothing if she gives the city to Wei Shao. She’s told that Wei Shao tore down the wall.
Xiao Qiao goes to the wall when Wei Shao is giving a speech. He tells the people that they’re the citizens of Capital Xin. He lets Zhen Zhi continue to manage the city. Zhen Zhi takes over the seal. He thanks Wei Shao. Wei Shao tells the people that his soldiers will help them build the city. The people are cheered up. Xiao Qiao is moved.
