Young-Sook is at home in the evening in Would You Marry Me episode 8. She wonders why the team leader came. Me-Ri came home. She got changed. She revealed she was going to see the team leader. She ran away from home. Young-Sook tries to call her daughter. But she gives up the mind. Because she knows her daughter is going to get a good man.
Woo-Joo walks Me-Ri in the mountain. He reveals his parents died after they were sent to the hospital. His grandpa didn’t want to see him after knowing the truth. He was sent to the United States then. Me-Ri thinks Woo-Joo didn’t come back to Korea. But she’s told that he came to see her. He visited her. But her mother didn’t want to see him. So he left. Me-Ri remembers the drinks someone left. She realizes that it was Woo-Joo.
Woo-Joo and Me-Ri watch the star together. She thinks the star is her father. But he tells her that it’s just an artificial satellite. She’s not happy. He comforts her that he will be the lighthouse who accompanies her all the time. He carries her to walk. But he trips. They fall to the ground together. He hugs her and he kisses her.
Jin-Gyeong sits by the river. She remembers Woo-Joo told her that he likes Me-Ri. She cries. She wonders why the guy doesn’t know she likes him. Sang-Hyun passes by after he went for a night run. He sees Jin-Gyeong. She wipes off her tears when he walks to her. The two sit together. Sang-Hyun asks Jin-Gyeong if she confessed her feelings to the man she likes. He tells her that she will regret if she doesn’t do it. She runs with him. She runs very fast. She stops. She says that she ruined everything. She cries when she wonders why she did that.
Me-Ri takes Woo-Joo home. Young-Sook lets the guy sleep in the room of Me-Ri’s sister. She gives him the clean cotton quilt. Young-Sook leaves the room. She sees Me-Ri. She questions her why Woo-Joo came. She figures it out that the guy came for her daughter. Me-Ri is in her room. She tries to sleep. But she receives a message from Woo-Joo. He asks her to come to his room. She leaves her room and she enters his room. He points at the cicada on the wall. She throws the cicada out of the window. He hugs her. He thinks she’s dependable. Me-Ri hides under the quilt with Woo-Joo when her mother visits the room. Young-Sook leaves after she placed the mosquito coils.
The next day, Woo-Joo goes to Me-Ri’s room. He finds out that his girl is sleeping. He smiles. Young-Sook shows up. She asks the guy to go to wash his face. Because they’re going to have breakfast. The three have breakfast in the yard. Young-Sook entertains Woo-Joo the chicken soup. She brings up that it’s a hen. He realizes that it’s the chicken for her son-in-law. She laughs. Young-Sook worries that Woo-Joo’s family won’t accept her daughter because her daughter is a divorced woman. Me-Ri thinks her mother did it too much. But Young-Sook reveals she witnessed the two hugging together. She tells Woo-Joo that she won’t let Me-Ri marry him if his family bullies Me-Ri. He comforts her that his parents passed away and he only has a grandma.
Woo-Joo, Me-Ri and Young-Sook visit Me-Ri’s father. Woo-Joo thanks the man for saving him. Me-Ri’s sister So-Ri calls Me-Ri. So-Ri sees everyone except Woo-Joo-2. She’s furious to ask for seeing the guy. Young-Sook introduces Woo-Joo to So-Ri. So-Ri is confused because the man is so different. Young-Sook tries to explain it to her daughter. But Me-Ri hangs up.
Young-Sook prepares many foods for Me-Ri and Woo-Joo. She asks Me-Ri to take the food storage containers. Me-Ri cannot reach the food storage containers. So Woo-Joo helps her. Young-Sook witnesses it. She asks her daughter to take more containers. Me-Ri and Woo-Joo walk on the beach. Me-Ri reveals she plans to confess to Sang-Hyun. She knows she will be sued. But she doesn’t want to lose Woo-Joo. She asks Woo-Joo to give her some time because she needs to pay off the debts. He hugs her. He thanks her for making the decision.
Mi-Yeon packs Han-Gu’s stuff at home. She asks Eung-Soo to take his father to the airport. Eung-Soo and Han-Gu are on the way to the airport. Eung-Soo finds out that his father doesn’t care for his mother at all. Because Han-Gu doesn’t know Mi-Yeon’s shoe size. They arrive at the airport. Eung-Soo tries to tell something to his father. But he gives up the mind.
Woo-Joo takes Me-Ri to the store. Because he wants to change a kitchen for her mother. Jin-Hwa and Eun-Sook see the two. Woo-Joo-2 receives Woo-Joo’s photo from his sister. He wonders who’s the man. He calls Song-Hee. She doesn’t pick up his phone. Because she knows he and Me-Ri has broken up. He remembers what she told him that Woo-Joo is the team leader of Myungsoondang.
Pil-Nyeon is interviewed at home. She tells the reporter that Myungsoondang is an honest company. She sees the reporter off. Mi-Yeon shows up. Pil-Nyeon waters the garden. Mi-Yeon worries that her mother will let Woo-Joo be the heir. Pil-Nyeon admits it. Because Eung-Soo isn’t good at studying. Mi-Yeon is furious to tell her mother that she won’t stand it if she bullies her husband and her son.
Han-Gu is at home in the United States. Mi-Yeon calls him. He doesn’t pick up her phone. Min-Jung shows up with a bottle of champagne. They drink the champagne together. We learn that Han-Gu is going to control Pil-Nyeon. He was the one who caused his wife’s investment to fail.
Woo-Joo has a meeting with the teammates in the meeting room. He asks Me-Ri to have a talk with him. She follows him to the place. He kisses her. He asks her not to dress up beautifully. He informs her that his grandma invited her to her house.
Woo-Joo-2 is discharged from the hospital. He goes to Myungsoondang with a letter. He plans to let the chairman fire Woo-Joo. But he doesn’t see the chairman. He’s thrown out of the company by the guards. But he doesn’t want to give up. He overhears that Woo-Joo is the grandson of the chairman. He realizes that he cannot defeat Woo-Joo. He tears up the letter he wrote. He cries to sing in the singing room.
The next day, Song-Hee goes to the chairman’s house with the people of marketing team. She wonders why Woo-Joo doesn’t come. She’s told that the guy is in the house because he’s the grandson of the chairman. Me-Ri and the guys are in the living room. She’s nervous when they talk about the house. Pil-Nyeon shows up with Woo-Joo. Pil-Nyeon welcomes the people. Woo-Joo introduces Me-Ri to his grandma. Pil-Nyeon thanks Me-Ri for supporting her company.

The meal is ready. Sun-Hee brings up that she and the chairman made dumplings for the orphans. Pil-Nyeon tells the people not to cheat. Me-Ri is startled when she thinks about her and Woo-Joo’s future. The people try to leave the chairman’s house after they had lunch. Jin-Gyeong shows up. She sees Me-Ri and the people. She realizes that there were guests. Pil-Nyeon plans to cook something for Jin-Gyeong after knowing the girl is hungry.

Me-Ri and the members of marketing team are in the car. She learns that Jin-Gyeong is going to marry Woo-Joo. Jin-Gyeong takes Pil-Nyeon’s blood pressure in the room. Pil-Nyeon wishes Jin-Gyeong to marry her grandson. But Jin-Gyeong claims that she only treats Woo-Joo as her brother. Woo-Joo is on the way to Me-Ri’s house. He calls her. He informs her that he’s going to come. Someone rings the doorbell. She mistakes the person for Woo-Joo. She goes to open the door. She sees Woo-Joo-2. She wants to call the police. But he has found her secret.
