Above the village, Coco and Agott are tied up by The Knights Moralis in Witch Hat Atelier episode 8. The leader of The Knights Moralis Easthies holds something terrifying to target Coco. He tells the girl that there’s nothing to be afraid of. As long as she loses the memories related to magic, the fear will be forgotten. She just turns into an ordinary uninformed person.
The Misgivings of The Knights Moralis
Agott is furious to ask Easthies why he doesn’t listen to them since they denied. He ignores her. He tries to use the terrifying stuff to hurt Coco. Richeh flies to him. She robs the stuff. The fireball burns the flag. Coco and Agott are free because the flag that bound them was ruined. They fall from the sky. They scream. They fall on the dragon’s sand bed. They’re fine.
Tetia blocks Easthies to guard her friends. She blames The Knights Moralis for not listening to Agott’s explanation. Easthies asks the knight who’s the visitor. The knight reports it to Easthies that it’s a kid. She burned the flag. Richeh puts away her wind magic. She lands. She expresses that she hates the adults who don’t take kids seriously.
Easthies tells the little witches what matters isn’t the reason. It’s the fact that they broke the rule. Peace and Order in today’s world are protected by the witches who follow the rules. Once cracks appear, it will collapse in an instant. So there can be no exceptions.
Qifrey shows up. He mentions Easthies talks nonstop when he doesn’t listen to the kids’ explanation. He holds his water sword to his throat. He asks him not to hurt his disciples. Easthies learns that the kids are Qifrey’s disciples. He thinks they’re arrogant like their master. Qifrey talks back that a model student like Easthies should die.
The knight tries to attack Qifrey. But Easthies stops the knight. He explains it to Qifrey that they just want to maintain order. He mentions Dadah Range and the shadow forest. The powerful magic that is enough to change the Earth. It was the battle magic before the Day of the Alliance. Since someone cast the spell in modern times, it’s reasonable to take appropriate measures.
But Qifrey blames Easthies for stealing someone’s memories when he didn’t distinguish between right and wrong. He points out that the technology and equipment that can perform magic on such a scale. He doesn’t remember he gave it to his disciples. Easthies reminds Qifrey that he cannot guarantee Brimmed Caps didn’t give it to Coco.
Olruggio yells at the two when he’s helping an old man. He doesn’t care for their fight. But they have the duty as witches. Giving people the gift of magic. The kids know the meaning more than them. Olruggio asks the knights to come to help the villagers. He guesses the flag can be helpful.
The knight ties Custas’s legs with the flag. Dagda asks the knight if his friend was cured. She says that it’s just to stop the bleeding. Custas will be sent to Kalhn. He won’t die if he gets treatment immediately. The knight tries to leave. But Dagda grabs her arm. He tells her that he saw them restoring the flag with magic. He thinks the kid can be healed. Magic should have such a power.
She denies it. She shakes off his hand. She threatens him that she won’t take the kid to see a doctor if he continues to make a fuss for no reason. He grabs his fists tightly. He apologizes to her. He begs her to take care of the kid.
The wounded people are sent away. Easthies orders the knights to cordon off the scene. Not letting anyone in except witches. After the uninformed people leave, they will conduct a thorough investigation.
Coco draws a magic on the notebook. Easthies tests it. He discovers that it’s just an ordinary magic. Olruggio tells Easthies that it wouldn’t let the whole riverbank collapse. Easthies is rude to take Coco’s arm. He remembers Brimmed Caps would draw magic circle on the body. Taking the opportunity to enhance or change the body. Or the forbidden magic that enhances magical power.
He takes a look at her hand. He sees the fresh calluses and the hand that was stained by magical ink. He tries to continue to check her hand. But Qifrey stops Easthies. He tells him that it’s enough. Easthies says that he will look into the case after he reports it to The Great Hall of Witches. If he confirms that the problem was caused by Qifrey and Coco, he won’t forgive them. If Coco doesn’t want to lose the things that she just learned, she should be more careful.
Easthies flies away. Qifrey sighs. He tells Coco that it really scared him. He feels relieved that everyone is fine. Tetia laughs. She walks to the master with Richeh. The master thinks the two adults shouldn’t have left. He apologizes it to Tetia. But she tells him that it wasn’t their fault. Qifrey tells Agott and Coco that they did something dangerous. If someone discovered the secret of magic, they have to erase the memories of all the rescued individuals. Memory is a person’s entire life. Their behavior will weigh others’ lives on a scale.
Agott and Coco apologize to Qifrey. Coco says that she will be careful. Agott grabs her fist tightly. She’s very reluctant to accept it. She knows the trial is even further away. Qifrey tells his disciples that they did a good job. So he will apply the second trial for Agott. If she passes the trial, she will be recognized that she has talent to carry out important tasks. But he asks her not to use magic in public again before the trial.
Tetia is unhappy after knowing the master gave the special treatment to Agott. She asks Qifrey to think about other disciples. He reminds her that they don’t complete the basic magic textbook. Richeh hates trial. So she doesn’t care. Coco is surprised that there’s another trial.
Olruggio joins Qifrey. He brings that that he worried that Agott was too anxious. But Qifrey thinks it’s different now. He looks at Agott who gets along well with other girls. He thinks he should believe her. Olruggio tells Qifrey that he’s way too naive. Qifrey talks back that his disciples are very disciplined.
Agott runs to Qifrey. She tells him that she wants to go back to practice. But he stops her. Because there’s one thing they didn’t do.
Easthies flies in the sky with The Knights Moralis. The knight knows Qifrey’s disciple was the kid, if the rumor isn’t fake. Easthies asks the knight if he can prove that the rumor is true. The knight says no. It’s impossible to find any evidence in the petrifaction house. Easthies figures it out that they have to let Coco confess. He asks the knight to take a look at the river. The magic caused the lower reaches of the river have dried up. A falling rock can erode riverbank and change the water flow. It changes the downstream. The beautiful view will disappear forever. The girl was the first rockfall. As long as, there’s a risk of rolling, they have to get rid of her.
Back to the village, Qifrey tells Coco that Olruggio’s pen is very special. It’s called The Wand of Moxibustion Needles. It can carve magic circles on rocks and trees. Olruggio says that it’s just emergency measures. He casts the spell. The dam is fixed. The river begins to flow backward. It seems that the desertification magic doesn’t work.
Qifrey notices Coco’s hat and ink in the sand. He picks it up. He returns it to Coco. He tells her that she will be in trouble if she forgets the take the hate and ink. She thanks him. She discovers that her ink doesn’t reduce. She figures it out that it’s a magical bottle. It will refill automatically. He wants to take a look at the bottle. She gives the bottle to him.
It flashes back. On the beach, Iguin sits on one of the rocks. He says that magic is the fake that beautifies the world, even if the beautiful two hands that draw magic were so stained with ink. A lie, if you take a closer look, it will give itself away. Iguin cuts his palm with a knife. The palm is bleeding. He drops the blood into the ink bottle. He wonders how long it can be kept under wraps.
At present, Qifrey asks Coco if the ink was given by Nolnoa. She says yes. He asks Olruggio to take everyone back to the atelier. Olruggio is surprised after he received the order. He asks Qifrey where on earth he’s hanging out. Qifrey explains it to his friend that he failed to buy Coco wand because of the commotion. He wants to go to Kalhn, and buys the wand. Olruggio has a condition. Qifrey should take back the local product honey wine. Qifrey promises Olruggio that he will take back two bottles of wine.
Qifrey and Coco visit Nolnoa’s store. But the door disappears. The store is closed today. Tartah shows up. Qifrey feels relieved after he saw the boy. He tells him that he visits Nolnoa for a business. Tartah opens the door. Coco and Qifrey get in the store. Coco finds out that the room is different from the room that she saw last time. Tartah tells her that different door handles open different rooms. His grandpa should be on the third floor.
Coco tries to go to the third floor with her master. But Tartah stops her. He reminds her that the wound on her right leg should be disinfected as soon as possible. He has healing grass. He can apply it for her. Coco follows Tartah into the room. She sees the magical materials that she did’t see. She finds a bottle of colored powder. She asks him what it is. He asks her not to touch it. He will be in trouble if the order is scrambled. It’s the additive that enhances magical ink effect.
Qifrey walks into Nolnoa’s room. Nolnoa reminds Qifrey that the store is closed today. He tells him that he was just kidding. He knows his goal. He asks him if he came for the magical circle on the floor tiles in the alley. He hasn’t found any leads. Although he tried a lot of magic, it blended too seamlessly.
Qifrey takes out the ink bottle. Nolnoa takes a close look at the ink. He discovers that the colors are basically the same. He asks Qifrey where he got it. He recognizes his bottle then. Qifrey realizes that the Brimmed Cap cast a spell on the bottle at that time. He puts a paper on the paper. Nolnoa persuades Qifrey that he should let him look into the ink before he draws. Qifrey ignores Nolnoa. He begins to draw magic on the paper.
In Tartah’s room, Coco asks Tartah about the name of the light blue dye. He reveals it’s the powder of Moon Blue Flower when he dresses her wound on her leg. He says that it will extend the duration of the spell once it’s added. She thinks he’s really good. Because he remembered the names of all the dyes. She’s excited to jump. But he says that it’s not big deal. After all, they’re all commodities. She expresses that it’s so wonderful to live in the Magical Materials Shop. The shelves are lined with jars and bottles. She’s envy of him.
But he prefers atelier. She’s a witch, but she said something weird. She’s surprised that he’s not a witch intern. He’s in pain after she brought up the topic. But his train of thought is interrupted when she sees the red powder. She climbs the ladder. She points at the bottle. But he cannot see it.
A bright light flashes. The bottles are scattered all over the floor. Coco feels relieved that the bottles aren’t broken. But Tartah says that it’s terrible. The labels have all fallen off. All mix together. His grandpa asked him not to touch the bottles. It’s a mess. She apologizes to him. She volunteers to help him put the bottles back. She takes two bottles. She asks him what the powders are. He yells at her. He says that he doesn’t know it. He remembers the types by their placement. He doesn’t rely on color to distinguish them.
He asks her to go back. He thinks she cannot help him. Everyone has the thing that he cannot make it. For example, his eyes have Silver Color Illness. He cannot be a witch no matter how hard he tries.
In Nolnoa’s room, Nolnoa wakes Qifrey up. He takes a look at the bottle on the table. He’s surprised that the little magic circle had such a power. Qifrey guesses it’s Gemini Bottle magic. The bottles share the same stuff. He believes that there’s a metal disc with the magic circle in the bottle. The Brimmed Cap let Coco use the magical ink. The section that reduced would add automatically. Because it was added mysterious additive. The bottle is related to Brimmed Caps.
Qifrey is very happy after he got it. But Nolnoa thinks the magical ink shouldn’t exist in the world. He tells Qifrey that it’s not the stuff that he can handle. He wants to report it to The Great Hall of Witches. Qifrey goes against it. He doesn’t want anyone to know what they discovered. Nolnoa is scared to step back. He asks Qifrey what he’s going to do with the bottle. Qifrey apologizes to Nolnoa. He puts the bottle on the floor gently.

Qifrey walks out of the shop. Coco is waiting for him. He explains it to her that he took the wrong ink bottle. He gives her a bag as compensation. She’s happy to thank him. She uses the bag immediately. She asks him about Silver Color Illness. He reveals it’s a congenital defect. It makes eyes see anything silver. Because witch focuses on vision. The person who has Silver Color would be a rough time in the world. He notices that she feels uneasy. He hugs her. He comforts her that he will protect her as long as she’s the disciple in his atelier.
In the shop, Tartah sees Nolnoa taking care of the bottles. He explains it to him that he knocked the bottles over after he was startled by the flash. He asks him if the flash was Qifrey’s magic. But Nolnoa says that there was no flash.
