Gwang-Cheol arrives at the hospital when the people are protesting. Gwang-Cheol asks Seong-Gyu is he a cancer patient? Seong-Gyu says yes. Gwang-Cheol says nobody believes him. He pretended to be sick to avoid the supervision. He pretended to pass out to delay his court appearance. It turns out that he’s really sick. He cannot manage to stand, but those guys are having a huge argument there.

Seong-Gyu reminds Gwang-Cheol that excessive stress can worsen his condition. Yun-Sik is not only a skilled surgeon, he’s quite knowledgeable about treatment and postoperative care. Gwang-Cheol wants to go to Pediatric Oncology Ward that he donated. He was very busy because of the lawsuit, he didn’t show off well. He heard that there was a plaque with his name.

Because Seung-Gwon has decided it. And they’re short-staffed. Heung-Gon suggests that Seong-Gyu should go to take revenge. So Su-Jeong cannot focus.

Heung-Gon and Seong-Gyu make some noise. But they find out that Su-Jeong is wearing earphones. Heung-Gon tells Seong-Gyu that he should help Yun-Sik in the surgery. It’s way too conspicuous if he gets in operating room. If he goes to help, Yun-Sik will think he doesn’t believe his surgical skills. But with Seong-Gyu’s qualifications, it’s just right that he goes to be an assistant.

Yun-Sik was chosen because he showed Gwang-Cheol his care when at the dinner table. Gwang-Cheol was very happy. He wanted Yun-Sik to be his attending physician. Gwang-Cheol knows the doctors here want to perform the surgery for him. So he chose one who was easy to manage. Yun-Sik couldn’t reject it.

Su-Jeong runs to the cafeteria. She begins to eat. Tae-Gyeong finds her. He asks her what was she doing before they went to the cafe? She says she saw that the patient was feeling dizzy in the hallway. She let her go to the ENT department. She has Meniere disease. The doctor Geun-Sik thinks Su-Jeong knows nothing about Meniere. Seong-Gyu tells Su-Jeong that the patient planned to see an internist. But she lies on the couch at the ENT department. She had a checkup, and she has Meniere.

Su-Jeong says it’s not a problem. Geun-Sik blames her for interfering with diagnoses made by other departments. But Sang-Myun doesn’t need Su-Jeong to apologize to him. Because the patient thanked him.

Heung-Gon asks Su-Jeong why did she do it in the hallway? She goes to take pork chops. Seong-Gyu asks Tae-Gyeong where was he? But Tae-Gyeong thinks Su-Jeong did nothing wrong. Heung-Gon points out that Su-Jeong crossed the line. She bought trouble to take back her office desk. Won-Jin gets angry after knowing Heung-Gon drove Su-Jeong out of the office. She thinks he shouldn’t do that. Because he’s not a kid.

Seong-Gyu realizes that Su-Jeong was very calculating. Tae-Gyeong notices that the woman messes her hair to get more pork chops.

The doctors have a meeting for Gwang-Cheol. Yun-Sik says Gwang-Cheol has Pancreatic Cancer. He wants to perform a surgery for Gwang-Cheol. Su-Jeong goes against it. She thinks the cancer cells may have invaded arteries and veins in the superior mesentery. He says it cannot change anything. The patient refuses to accept chemotherapy. Ju-Hui expresses that she wants to die.

Su-Jeong tells Ju-Hui that people will die in the end. So she shouldn’t be anxious. She will die within one month if she doesn’t have the surgery. She will die after 100 years, if she has the surgery. She lets her make a choice.

She tells Seung-Gwon that she will come over.

Seung-Gwon walks into the locker room. Yun-Sik apologizes to Seung-Gwon. Seung-Gwon mentions Yun-Sik’s first idea was to give up. From that moment on, he has left the operating room. Yun-Sik claims that he didn’t leave. He volunteered to stay to be an assistant. Until the surgery ended. He wanted to do something. He felt humiliated. He couldn’t climb over the high wall. But he hung in there. He will continue to hang in there. He will gain a foothold in the hospital and make all his dreams come true.

Heung-Gon and Seong-Gyu overhear it. Heung-Gon says Yun-Sik is tacky and corny. Although Yun-Sik’s skills aren’t good, he did a good job. Tae-Gyeong asks Heung-Gon and Seong-Gyu about Su-Jeong. Seong-Gyu reminds Tae-Gyeong that Su-Jeong wouldn’t come to the men’s locker room. Heung-Gon reveals Su-Jeong planned to perform the two surgeries at the same time. Tae-Gyeong is shocked.
