Does Zuko Defeat Azula in Avatar: The Last Airbender?

Zuko and Azula are brother and sister. But Avatar: The Last Airbender makes them be enemies. They’re heirs to the throne. But there’s only fire lord in the world. Their father Ozai intends to let them fight. He hints at them that the one who kills the Avatar will be the new fire lord. Zuko quits in the end after he became Aang’s ally. Azula gets the position. But she’s not happy. Because Ozai leaves her after he passed her the throne. She gets crazy and she drives away all of the people until Zuko and Katara come.

Azula

Azula is the daughter who’s favored by Ozai. He banishes his son and he gives more power to Azula. He thinks Zuko is weaker than his sister. But Zuko owns a new power after he learned the dragon firebending with Aang. He betrays his father and he attacks the palace of the Fire Nation in Avatar: The Last Airbender. The evil lord Ozai isn’t there. Azula is going to be the new fire lord. Katara wants to take care of Azula for her friend. But Zuko decides to do the job on his own.

Zuko And Azula’s Grudge

Zuko is an unappreciated prince in Avatar: The Last Airbender. Ozai banishes him just because Zuko had a different idea regarding the battle plan. Azula takes Zuko’s position. She becomes the fire lord’s inner circle. But Zuko plans to return to the Fire Nation. He finds the trace of the Avatar. He leads his troops to hunt Aang. But Aang and his team are powerful. They always find a way to flee.

Aang and Zuko’s fight draws the attention of Admiral Zhao. Admiral Zhao begins to hunt Aang like what Zuko did. But he does it too much. He murders the Moon Spirit. He’s taken to the Spirit World. Ozai thinks Zuko killed Admiral Zhao because Zuko was witnessed to fight the admiral. He sends Azula to go to arrest Zuko. Azula knows her brother will flee if she exposes her true intention. So she’s nice to Zuko and she persuades him to go home with her. Zuko isn’t a fool. He finds his sister’s plan soon. He flees before she takes action.

Azula plans to catch Aang. But she knows she cannot catch the boy on her own. Because he has the powerful teammates Katara and Toph Beifong. She thinks of Zuko. She knows he wants to get his father’s love. She promises him that she will help him return to the Fire Nation if he works with her. Zuko betrays his best for the glory. But he finds out that it’s a scam. His sister never intended to help him. She knows the Avatar is alive. But she conceals it from his father. She forces Zuko to go to kill Aang.

Zuko comes to his senses in the end. He knows it’s time to say goodbye to his sister. He’s bold to declare war on his father. He goes to the prisoner to save his uncle. But his uncle has left. He knows he needs to make up for his mistakes. He finds Aang and he apologizes to him. Aang doesn’t want to forgive the boy in the begging. But Toph Beifong thinks Aang should give Zuko a chance. Aang is moved after Zuko helped them kill the killer. He accepts Zuko and he asks him to teach him how to use firebending.

Zuko Is Hurt for Protecting Katara

The Avatar team forgives Zuko after the boy showed his loyalty in Avatar: The Last Airbender. But Katara cannot forgive Zuko because her mother was murdered by the army of the Fire Nation. Zuko manages to help Katara find the murderer who killed her mother. She didn’t kill the murderer after she thought about it. She forgives Zuko in the end.

Aang plans to wait until Sozin’s comet leaves. He has fun with his friends. Zuko is anxious. He reveals his father planned to burn all the people in the Earth kingdom. The Avatar team is shocked after knowing the truth. The people take action. Zuko volunteers to go to deal with Azula. He invites Katara to help him after he witnessed her using the bloodbending. He thinks the girl can defeat his sister. Katara accepts the invitation after the boy helped her take revenge.

They go to the palace of the Fire Nation. Azula is waiting for them. She’s going to be the new fire lord after she was abandoned by her father. She doesn’t look well. Azula doesn’t trust anyone after Mai and Ty Lee betrayed her. The two were her best friends. But she used fear to control them. Zuko knows his sister isn’t his rival because she doesn’t seem to be in her right mind. He decides to deal with Azula alone even if he asked Katara to aid him. Katara worries about Zuko. The fight begins. Zuko is right that Azula isn’t powerful anymore after she went through a mental trauma. She uses her firebending to attack Zuko. But he defeats her because he mastered the dragon firebending. She decides to use her skill lightning. Zuko mistakes that his sister will attack him. He’s ready for it. Because he defeated his father with the redirect when his father tried to use the lightning on him. But Azula attacks Katara.

Katara is a powerful waterbending. But she doesn’t know how to block the lightning. Zuko worries about his partner. He is hit by the lightning for protecting the girl. He’s badly hurt. He cannot fight. Katara is surprised that the prince protected her. She’s furious to fight Azula.

Azula is sly even if she’s out of her mind. She knows when she should strike her enemies a blow. But she cannot save the downfall of her and her father. They brought too much suffering to the land. They’re the nightmares of the nation. Zuko knows he needs to become the new fire lord for saving the nation.

Katara Defeats Azula

Azula plans to kill Katara with her skill lightning in Avatar: The Last Airbender. But Zuko sacrifices himself. He knows Katara is a good girl and she suffered because his family. But he loses the chance to defeat Azula in person. Katara tries to heal Zuko. But Azula knows it’s a good chance. She attacks Katara when the healer is working. Katara has to give up on healing. She attacks the crazy girl instead.

Katara doesn’t know how to defeat Azula until she sees the water. She traps her with her waterbending. She uses the chains to tie her up. She wins. Katara heals Zuko then. Zuko wants to thank Katara. But she thanks him instead because the one who saved her was him. Azula loses. She’s insane completely. She realizes that nobody wants to believe her.

Azula deserves the ending. She did many terrible things. She almost killed Aang. But the battle doesn’t end. Her horrible plan is still in motion. The airplanes of the Fire Nation are on the way to the Earth Kingdom. They plan to burn everyone in the kingdom. Fortunately, Sokka and Suki ruin the airplane. The evil plan of Azula is stopped. The people of the Earth Kingdom are saved.

Katara is born from a village of Southern Water Tribe. But she’s changed after she encountered the avatar. She was the girl who didn’t know how to use airbending. But she mastered it after she learned the skill from the master Pakku. She doesn’t stop learning. She learned the powerful bending art bloodbending. She defeated Azula even if she didn’t use bloodbending.

Zuko regrets that he didn’t defeat his sister. But he’s happy with it that his friend resolved the problem for him. He wishes Aang to kill his father. So the war will be over. He doesn’t know Aang doesn’t plan to kill Ozai. Because Aang has a better way.
