Mr. Bei offers to postpone the project, and he has to stop the project since Ms. Hui cannot solve the problem.
Xiao Wei shows up and asks not to cancel the project. She claims the design’s never thought to use modern construction materials at the beginning. Xiao Wei offers to use mortise and tenon. But Ms. Hui is against it as the traditional mortise and tenon have problem on stress.
Xiao Wei points out that the houses were wooden structures in ancient times. She intends to get the stronger metals to help mortise and tenon. Ms. Hui mentions what Mr. Bei said that the modern materials will destroy the retro texture. Dreaming Back to the Qing Dynasty is a wonderful palace drama.
Xiao Wei thinks the chair Mr. Bei sat were made by mortise and tenon, and tells him to use new method. Mr. Bei agrees to Xiao Wei’s idea.
Ms. Hui stops Xiao Wei and asks her why she helped. But Xiao Wei says that she just helped herself.
Xiao Wei meets with Xiao Chun and thinks she should fix her hair as her boyfriend Tai Zi will come. Xiao Chun thinks he won’t care for it.
The people around Xiao Chun begin to dance, and they take her to the street. Tai Zi shows up and gives the flowers to Xiao Chun. He gets on knee and hands over the ring. Xiao Chun accepts his proposal. Dreaming Back to the Qing Dynasty contains so many tearful moments.
Xiao Wei is lost and wonders if she can meet Yin Xiang. She walks into palace and tries to find the answer. She finds the lamp and realizes that she cannot get back.
Xiao Wei brings the cakes to colleagues, and Ba Ge asks her to send the document for him. But the lady tells him to do it himself. The lady tells Xiao Wei that she caught Ba Ge’s weak spot, and he’s afraid of her.
The man visits Ms. Hui and wants to have a fight with her. She tells him that the coffee shop downstairs is suitable for fight. Dreaming Back to the Qing Dynasty makes Xiao Wei not see Ying Xiang again.
The man stands up and Xiao Wei sees his face. She’s wry smile and thinks fate is probably the biggest coincidence.
Xiao Wei walks along the the Forbidden City, and she is in tears while touching the wall.
“In the vast universe, in the vast sea of people, there are too many mysteries and unknowns. I’m glad to have had such an experience and know how precious true love is. But… Yin Xiang, are you alright? I miss you so much.”
One Year Later
MC announces the winner is Qiang Wei, and Ms. Hui takes the award for Xiao Wei. She confesses that she made many mistakes because she was envy of Xiao Wei, and she thanks Xiao Wei for telling her to design her life.
Xiao Wei stares at the building she designed, and tells Yin Xiang that the project is praised by people. She smiles. Dreaming Back to the Qing Dynasty is the best Chinese drama in 2019.
It flashes back. Yin Xiang tells Ming Wei that he wants to stay with her all his life, and she asks him if he will look for her if she has to leave. He says that he will search the whole world to find her.
It’s raining. Xiao Wei finds the wet letter Yin Xiang left.
“Xiao Wei, you must have returned to your world. Although you and I cannot be together, do you still remember the promise we made before? We’ll go everywhere together to see the beautiful things. This promise is a present for you.”
Chun Er catches a bird for Ming Hui, but she tells him to release the bird as the mom is waiting for the bird to have meal. But Chun Er rejects it as the bird bit him first. Ming Hui tells Chun Er not to take evil mind no matter what happened. Dreaming Back to the Qing Dynasty is a travel drama with sorrowful ending.
Yin Ti returns home and hugs Chun Er. He gives the flower he picked to Ming Hui, and she’s moved.
Emperor wants to give reward to Yin Xiang because Yin Xiang helped him get the throne. But Yin Xiang asks to leave.
Xiao Wei is attracted by the lantern, and the shop owner reveals the technique was taught by a noble of Qing Dynasty, and the lantern can record all happy times. Dreaming Back to the Qing Dynasty keeps all of the elements of Story of Yanxi Palace.
“Xiao Wei, you finally came here. We’ve seen the mountains, oceans, sunrise, and sunset during this road. Although we cannot cross the long river of time and space, I think this is already a gift from fate. But I can only keep you company on this trip until here. Whether it’s the starry sky over the prairie or the lantern in Western Sichuan. All the ups and downs are gifts that I gave you. Although this may be the last clay pot I left, our game hasn’t ended yet.”
Xiao Wei tears up when she knows that Yin Xiang has died.
“Silly girl, don’t cry. The misplaced space and time make you meet me and let me fall in love with you. Maybe it’s the best gift from fate. Even though I’m leaving, I will keep you company forever. Xiao Wei drives along the mountain, and the man stops her car and gets in. He takes off his sunglasses, and wants to accompany her after knowing that Xiao Wei takes the road alone. Xiao Wei recognizes Yin Xiang, and she feels joyful.
