Tong Yao walks out of the office with Xiao Rui in Falling Into Your Smile: Episode 18. They’re surrounded by the reporters at the elevator. Xiao Rui protects Tong Yao when the reporters use the flashes to hurt her eyes. She realizes that she’s a public figure.

Tong Yao and Xiao Rui get on the bus. Tong Yao’s mother call Tong Yao. Her parents care for her after knowing she had a fight with someone. Xiao Rui tells Tong Yao that the punishment is light. Lu Sicheng gets on the bus. He’s silent when Tong Yao greets him.
Jin Yang gets angry after knowing Tong Yao got the punishment. She thinks Tong Yao should give the girl a slap. Ai Jia tries to take the fangirls’ side. But Jin Yang scolds him. Tong Yao complains it to Jin Yang that Lu Sicheng isn’t happy. Ai Jia shows Tong Yao the video. He thinks she has a hope.
Tong Yao returns to ZGDX. She asks her team members who posted the video. Nobody admits it. Tong Yao tells them that the one who posted the video is her benefactor. Lao K looks at Lu Sicheng. He makes the team members guess that Lu Sicheng is the benefactor.
Xiao Pang tries to praise Lu Sicheng. But Lu Sicheng scolds Xiao Pang. Ming Shen and Xiao Rui show up together. Ming Shen offers to let Lu Yue play the game. Tong Yao helps Lu Yue choose a role. The game begins. Ming Shen drags Tong Yao aside. He reveals Lu Sicheng cared for her. He persuades her not to rely on the captain.
The team members don’t perform well. Ming Shen scolds them. He asks them to give up their hobbies. The team members go against it. Tong Yao reveals she watched game videos when she took a break. The team members go to have lunch. Tong Yao doesn’t join them. She chooses to do live streaming for earning money.
The team members have lunch together at a restaurant. Xiao Pang watches the live streaming. He finds out that Tong Yao is silent. Lu Sicheng orders a porridge. He leaves the restaurant. Tong Yao does live streaming alone in the office.
She’s arrogant when the fans provoke her. But she’s gentle when Lu Sicheng returns to the office. He places the porridge on her desk. He returns to his room. She continues the fight. But Jin Yang reports to her that Lu Sicheng got into her live streaming room. Tong Yao closes the live streaming. Lu Sicheng watches Tong Yao close the live streaming. He thinks she’s a fool.
Tong Yao sits with Jin Yang on the bench outside. Tong Yao worries that Lu Sicheng will ignore her all his life. But Jin Yang points out that Lu Sicheng wouldn’t bring porridge to Tong Yao if he’s in anger. She thinks Tong Yao is the girl who’s in love.
The team members come back. They run into Tong Yao. They reveal Lu Sicheng returned early because the captain worried that the porridge would be cold.
The group stage begins. Obsidian fights with ZGDX. Tong Yao watches the game with Xiao Rui in a room. She’s surprised that her fans didn’t give up her. Xiao Rui leaves after he got a call from President Wang. Obsidian doesn’t allow Lu Yue to use Higanbana and Ootendo. Ming Shen suggests Lu Yue use Enenra. Lu Yue uses the role. He brings the victory to ZGDX.
Lu Sicheng walks into the room. He asks Tong Yao to give him a reason not to give up her. He gives her seven minutes to think about it. He reveals the team members changed the fighting style for cooperating with her. He blames her for getting the team members involved.

The time is up. Tong Yao has nothing to say to Lu Sicheng. So he tries to leave. She stops him when she holds his hand. She tells him that she wants to stand on the top with them. But he thanks her for her guarding. He persuades her to protect herself. He thinks she can protect herself when she’s strong enough. He strokes her hair.
The episode ends with Lu Sicheng trying to leave. Tong Yao stops him. She asks him if he’s a fearless person. He denies it. She asks him why he ignored her. He reveals he worried that he would be soft. He leaves the room.
