How Does Emperor Wen Know Cheng Shaoshang Pulled Arrow for Ling Buyi?

Ling Buyi tells Emperor to avoid it when the doctor treats his wound. Emperor Wen rejects it. He sighs and mentions what he told him to get married early. Ling Buyi claims that he will go on a mission again if Emperor Wen forces him to marry Yuchang Princess. He intends to leave his life in the battlefield.
Emperor Wen blames Liang Qiuqi and Liang Qiufei for not taking Ling Buyi back early after the two showed up. Ling Buyi tells Emperor Wen to scold him instead of the two. Emperor Wen mentions Ling Buyi didn’t care for himself. He asks him what he wants to do.

Emperor Wen tells Ling Buyi that he gave the honor to him because of his uncle. He asks him if he wants to end the bloodline of Huo family since he doesn’t want to get married. Ling Buyi tells Emperor Wen that he wants to marry a girl he loves. He adds that he doesn’t want to be like Chengyang Marquis who gave up his mom.
Emperor Wen is surprised that Fan Chang hurt Ling Buyi. Liang Qiufei leaks that Ling Buyi was hurt because he delayed the treatment. He adds that Cheng Shaoshang pulled the arrow for Ling Buyi. Sang Shunhua walks out of the room with the food. She tells Cheng Shaoshang that Cheng Zhi still feels guilty for not dealing with the enemies with Magistrate Cheng.
Sang Shunhua leaks that Cheng Zhi and Magistrate Cheng were good friends. He intended to bring the snack to Magistrate Cheng. Cheng Shaoshang wonders why Magistrate Cheng walked out of the city to fight with the enemies. She believes that Emperor Wen wouldn’t blame Magistrate Cheng.
Sang Shunhua points out that the people in the city watched Magistrate Cheng. She thinks Magistrate Cheng cannot be the magistrate if he didn’t protect the people in Hua City. He reveals Cheng Shaoshang’s parents went to Gu City for the same reason. The follower reports to Sang Shunhua that Magistrate Cheng’s granddaughter Cheng Xiaomei is getting treated in the clinic.
Is Cheng Xiaomei Dead? Does Cheng Shaoshang Agree to Marry Lou Yao?
Ling Buyi tells the people that Magistrate Cheng got promoted by Emperor Wen. The people cry to see Magistrate Cheng off. Lou Yao tells Cheng Shaoshang that he wants to be the magistrate like Magistrate Cheng. Cheng Shaoshang remembers what Sang Shunhua said that her parents went to Gu City for the ideal.
Ling Buyi and Yuan Shen see Cheng Shaoshang staying with Lou Yao. Yuan Shen’s master decides to leave after he found out that Sang Shunhua is fine. Cheng Xiaomei lies on the floor. She tells Cheng Shaoshang that she thinks she’s going to die.
Cheng Shaoshang cries to tell Cheng Xiaomei not to leave. Cheng Xiaomei comforts Cheng Shaoshang that she will give her good luck to her when she grabs her hand. She passes away. Cheng Shaoshang brings the candy to Cheng Xiaomei’s grave. She plays the flute for her. She tears up.
It’s raining. Ling Buyi shows up when Liang Qiufei holds umbrella for him. He takes the umbrella to walk to Cheng Shaoshang. But he sees Lou Yao holding umbrella for her. Lou Yao reminds Cheng Shaoshang that she will be sick if she continues to get wet in the rain.
Cheng Shaoshang wants to die because she thinks she’s useless. Lou Yao comforts Cheng Shaoshang that she’s the best woman in the world. She complains that she didn’t save anyone. She adds that she hates the people who have blood in their hands.
Lou Yao tells Cheng Shaoshang not to feel guilty. He tells her that he wants to build a peaceful land with her if he can be an official. He adds that he doesn’t want to be cowardly. She chooses to trust him. She puts her hand on his arm.
Ling Buyi joins Liang Qiuqi. Liang Qiuqi asks Ling Buyi if he saw Cheng Shaoshang. Ling Buyi claims that he went to see Magistrate Cheng. He thinks Cheng Shaoshang doesn’t want to see the people who do killing. He thinks his hands were stained blood.
Lou Yao tells Cheng Zhi that Cheng Shaoshang agreed to get married with him. Cheng Zhi tells Lou Yao to tell it to his parents. He tells him to let his parents ask Cheng Shaoshang’s family for the marriage. Lou Yao leaks that he asked his mom to ask Cheng family for the marriage.

Cheng Shaoshang walks out of her room to call Lou Yao. Lou Yao shows up. He worries that Xiao Yuanyi will get angry. Cheng Shaoshang tells Lou Yao that her mom just doesn’t want her to live well. She believes that Xiao Yuanyi would do it no matter who she marries.
Lou Yao thinks he should obey the elders. Cheng Shaoshang disagrees to what he said. Xiao Yuanyi shows up. She scolds Cheng Shaoshang for saying so. Cheng Shaoshang claims that she and Lou Yao were public to talk about their marriage.
Xiao Yuanyi asks Cheng Shaoshang if it was public to meet with Lou Yao in the evening. Lou Yao leaves. Xiao Yuanyi tells Cheng Shaoshang to return to the room with her. Sang Shunhua tells Xiao Yuanyi that Cheng Shaoshang helped them on the way. She thinks the girl grew up.
Xiao Yuanyi thinks Lou Yao isn’t the right husband for Cheng Shaoshang. She tells Cheng Shaoshang that she won’t worry about her if she’s like Cheng Yang. She asks her if she has feelings for Lou Yao. She thinks she doesn’t know the love of wives and husbands.
