Does Yoon-Sub Kill Himself?

Yoon-Sub tries to walk away. Ji-Hun stops Yoon-Sub. He tells him that he wishes to be a man like him. He walks away. Yoon-Sub takes a look at Ji-Hun’s poster. He smiles when he touches the poster. It’s raining outside when Ji-Hun is working in his office.
Ji-Hun gets a call from someone who asks him if he looked into Yoon-Sub. Yoon-Sub gets a call from someone as well. Ji-Hun holds the umbrella to walk in the rain. He calls Yoon-Sub. But Yoon-Sub doesn’t pick up his phone. Someone falls to the car from the sky.

It startles Ji-Hun. Ji-Hun turns around. He finds out that the person who took his life is his father. Ji-Hun picks up Yoon-Sub’s glasses. He cries to pick up his phone. He asks the person who he is. The chief prosecutor tells the reporters that Yoon-Sub killed himself. He promises to look into it.
Min-Hyeok runs to Ye-Jin. He tells her that he doesn’t find Ji-Hun. They go to look for the One Dollar Lawyer. Ji-Hun is driving. He doesn’t pick up Ye-Jin’s phone. He remembers what his father told him that he gave money to many people.
Ji-Hun gets into the room to look for the list. Ji-Hun’s brother scolds him. Ji-Hun tells his brother that he wants to find out who killed his father. But his brother thinks the one who killed Yoon-Sub was Ji-Hun. Prosecutor Lee plays the news of Yoon-Sub for Min-Hyeok and Ye-Jin. He tells them not to bring a trouble. They agree to it. Prosecutor Lee worries that Ji-Hun will do something. He tells Min-Hyeok to watch Ji-Hun.
Ji-Hun shows up at his father’s funeral. He swears to find the truth. Ji-Hun gets a call from Ye-Jin who asks him to pick up Ma-Ri. Ma-Ri is drunk to ask Ye-Jin if she told Ji-Hun that she’s at the bar. Ye-Jin admits it. Ma-Ri asks Ye-Jin what Ji-Hun did after his father had been killed.
It flashes back. Ji-Hun walks into the investigator’s office. The investigator tells Ji-Hun that the person used a burner phone to contact Yoon-Sub. The investigator worries that Prosecutor Lee will get angry if he knows Ji-Hun is looking into his father’s case. Ji-Hun tells the investigator not to leak it. He tries to leave. The investigator stops Ji-Hun. He tells him about the trial.
The prosecutors talk about Ji-Hun in the elevator. Prosecutor Lee scolds them. Joo-Young sighs after those guys left. She spots Ji-Hun. She gets into the court. She sees him again. The judge wakes Ji-Hun up when he’s thinking about something.
Joo-Young joins Ji-Hun. She comforts him that he didn’t do anything wrong in Yoon-Sub’s case. He tells her that it doesn’t work. He reveals Yoon-Sub is his father. He walks away. Prosecutor Lee takes his followers to break into Ji-Hun’s office after knowing he’s looking into his father’s case. Ye-Jin finds Ji-Hun on the rooftop. She tells him that she wants to help him. He rejects her help. He walks away.
Joo-Young sees Ji-Hun drinking at the bar. She joins him and pours him a drink. He drinks up the wine and walks away. She follows him and finds out that it’s raining. He looks at the sky to enjoy the rain. He lies on the ground and turns around. He finds out that she’s lying next to him. Ji-Hun smiles at Joo-Young. She mentions it was his third smile. It makes him laugh.
Who Kills Joo-Young?
The employees are against it after knowing the person got promoted. It makes Hyun-Mu upset. Joo-Young hands over the water to Hyun-Mu because she thinks he needs the water more than her. He accepts the water. She sits with him. He wants to guess her dream.
Hyun-Mu walks into Joo-Young’s office. He hands over the paper to her. He tells her that he wishes to let her be his partner. She rejects it and hands over the resignation letter to him. It makes him believe that there’s a company wishing to hire her.
Joo-Young shakes her head. She reveals she wants to work with someone. Hyun-Mu tells Joo-Young that he wants to hire the person as well. But she thinks the person won’t accept it. Eul-Rye sees Joo-Young who is looking for an office. She tells her that she will like her house. She takes her to her house.
Joo-Young walks into the house. She tells Eul-Rye that she likes the place. She opens the window and looks at the street. She smiles. She tells Eul-Rye that she’s going to open a lawyer office at the place. Ji-Hun walks to Joo-Young. She smiles at him. She tells him that she’s going to open a lawyer office there.
Ji-Hun wonders why Joo-Young left Hyun-Mu’s law firm. She tells him that she wants to work with him. She asks him to take her to see his father. Joo-Young visits Yoon-Sub’s grave. She hands over the flowers to him. She promises to come to see him next time. Ji-Hun smiles.
Joo-Young cleans up the office. She takes a photo of the fish tank. She sends the photo to Ji-Hun. She invites him to feed fishes with her. He shows up behind her when she’s watching the fish. It startles her. He walks her when he holds her hands. He takes a look at the fish he just bought.
Joo-Young grabs Ji-Hun’s hand. She tells him that he’s a nice person. He walks away after he got a call from the investigator. He meets with her at the restaurant. He gets on knee to her. He takes out a ring and makes a proposal to her. It makes her laugh.
Joo-Young nods it. She lets Ji-Hun to wear the ring on her ring finger. She feels happy when he hugs her. Joo-Young bumps someone in front of the elevator. She apologizes to him and returns the papers to him. He’s rude to get in the elevator.
Joo-Young packs her stuff. Hyun-Mu and Young-Joon walk Joo-Young out of the building. Young-Joon tells Joo-Young that Hyun-Mu prepared a meal for her. She promises to come to the banquet. She walks away. Joo-Young is happy to call Ji-Hun. She tells him that she got a client.
Joo-Young sees the paper of Yoon-Sub. She remembers she gave the wrong paper to the man. She calls Ji-Hun. She asks him for a meeting up. She takes the paper to leave here office. Someone sneaks into Joo-Young’s office. He doesn’t find the paper. He reports it to his boss.
The man follows Joo-Young. She gets a call from Ji-Hun who tells her that he will pick her up at the subway station. He shows up at the subway station with the flowers. He smells the flowers. Joo-Young sees the man. Ji-Hun calls Joo-Young. But she doesn’t pick up his phone.
Ji-Hun gets on the subway. He sees some people who are scared to run away. The killer passes through Ji-Hun. Ji-Hun doesn’t notice the killer. He finds Joo-Young who sits on the bench. He walks to her and wakes her up. She touches him with her bloodied hand. He finds out that she got stabbed. She tears up and passes out.

Episode 8 of One Dollar Lawyer K-Drama ends with the ambulance sending Joo-Young to the hospital. The doctor tells Ji-Hun that his girlfriend is dead after he tried his best to save her. He walks away. Ji-Hun walks into the operating room to see Joo-Young who lies in the bed. He takes off the cover. He sees the ring on her ring finger. Ji-Hun tears up. He holds Joo-Young’s hand. He leaves the hospital with her ring. He grabs his fist tightly.
The killer is taken to the police station. Ye-Jin runs to Ji-Hun. He tells her that he’s going to do the case. She tells him that she doesn’t wish him to do that. He walks away and runs into the killer in front of the elevator. The killer takes a look at Ji-Hun. He sees the ring on his little finger.
The cops take the killer to pass through Ji-Hun. Ji-Hun thinks the killer didn’t kill his girlfriend because he didn’t see him before. He gets in the elevator. Ji-Hun parks his car on the street when there’s red light in front of him. He wipes off the blood from his face with the tissue. He wears the sunglasses. He drives the car away.
Ji-Hun arrives at Joo-Young’s office. He takes off his sunglasses. He opens the door and gets into the office. He’s close to the fish tank to watch the fish. He remembers she watched the fish with Joo-Young. He puts the cash into the jar. The client walks into the office. He asks Ji-Hun if the fee is one dollar. Ji-Hun admits it when he turns around. He wears his sunglasses.
