Lee Hwan wakes up from the nightmare. He puts his hand on his right shoulder. He finds out that his hand shakes. He lets Eunuch So in when Eunuch So waits outside with his followers. The maid takes a look at Lee Hwan’s shoulder when she treats his hand.

Lee Hwan shows up when the maids and servants talk about he was cursed by a ghost. They continue the talk after he left. Our Blooming Youth reveals Lee Hwan killed his brother. Lee Hwan gives a speech. The follower reports to Won-Bo that Lee Hwan didn’t use his right hand to write.

Won-Bo doesn’t expect that their future king is a cripple. He wants to check it on his own. He smiles. He goes to see the king. He asks him to let Lee Hwan go to hunt to prove himself because people know Lee Hwan cannot use his right hand. The court official tells king to arrest the people who spread the rumor. But Won-Oh points out Lee Hwan has done it.

It flashes back. Lee Hwan is furious to throw away the basin. The maid complains to the eunuch that Lee Hwan got angry because her socks stink. She intends to go to change her socks when Lee Hwan shows up. But he stops her and tells her not to be close to the east palace.

Won-Oh tells King that he wants to know if Lee Hwan’s hand is fine. King meets with Lee Hwan. He tells him about the chancellor’s wish. Lee Hwan agrees to go to hunt because he thinks it’s the only way to protect himself. Sung-On asks Lee Hwan if he’s going to take part in the hunting. But Lee Hwan brings up Sung-On’s marriage. He mentions people think his fiancee Jae-Yi is very smart. But he reminds him the first time they encountered Jae-Yi.

It flashes back. Sung-On crosses the river with Lee Hwan. He takes a look at the gift. He wonders how did he get the gift. Lee Hwan shows the gift to Sung-On. He tells him that he knew the chef would cook beef. He worries that he won’t see Master Min for a long time. Because Master Min is going to go to Great Ming.

Lee Hwan trips. Sung-On takes care of Lee Hwan. Jae-Yi blocks their way when she smiles at them. She claims that the valley belongs to her. She asks them for the money. Sung-On scolds Jae-Yi. Lee Hwan stops Sung-On. He tells him to give some money to Jae-Yi. He asks Jae-Yi about the village Master Min lives. She tells him that Master Min doesn’t live in the village. She runs away.

Lee Hwan asks Sung-On if he forgets that they were late because of Jae-Yi. Sung-On laughs. He tells Lee Hwan that he has forgiven Jae-Yi. He mentions the money Jae-Yi spent. Lee Hwan intends to give a wedding gift to Sung-On. But the bodyguard reports to Lee Hwan that Master Min and his families were killed.

Does Jae-Yi Kill Her Families?

Sung-On asks the bodyguard about Jae-Yi. The bodyguard reveals Jae-Yi isn’t dead. But he tells Sung-On that Jae-Yi killed her families. Sung-On believes that someone asked Jae-Yi to do so. The bodyguard tells Sung-On that it was her lover.

Lee Hwan is surprised that Jae-Yi has a lover when she’s going to get married with Sung-On. The bodyguard leaks that the person is Master Min’s adopted son. He adds that the guy confessed that Jae-Yi bought the poison to kill her families. Jae-Yi ran away when the bodyguards broke into her room. Lee Hwan tells Tae-Gang to look into the case.

Jae-Yi runs in the woods when she’s chased by the bodyguards. She trips and rolls down the hill. She tries to go to pick up her shoe. But she sees the bodyguards. She hides behind the tree. The bodyguard finds Jae-Yi’s shoe. He tells his followers to go to look for Jae-Yi.

Jae-Yi tries to run away. But she encounters the bodyguards. She hides behind the trees again. But the bodyguard sees her if she takes care of her injured foot. She fights with the bodyguard. She takes away his sword. She tells him that she didn’t kill her families. But he doesn’t believe what she said. She stuns him when more bodyguards come.

Sung-On returns home. He hears the people talking about his fiancee killed her families. He grabs his fist tightly. Sung-On’s mother feels shame after knowing her future daughter-in-law killed her families. Sung-On tells his father Joong-Eon that it was a misunderstanding. But Joong-Eon tells Sung-On to be careful. Sung-On takes his sword to walk out of his house. He’s furious to cut the wedding gift. He throws away his sword. Joong-Eon watches it.

Won-Oh feels happy after knowing Jae-Yi killed her families. He believes that Joong-Eon will be upset. Ga-Ram lines up to wait for leaving the city. The guard lets her pass after he took a look at the drawing of Jae-Yi. She turns around and takes a look at the mountain. She wishes to meet with Jae-Yi.

Jae-Yi runs to the cliff. The bodyguards arrive. They pull out their swords. Someone shoots Jae-Yi when she fights with the bodyguards. She falls into the water. She remembers she cried when her families passed away. Her families wake her up. Lee Hwan takes a bath in the pool. He takes a look at the injury on his right shoulder.

It flashes back. Lee Hwan wakes up in his palace. He sees the letter. He reads the letter. He’s told that he won’t be the king because he killed his brother. He summons Eunuch So and asks him if there was anyone sneaking into his room. Eunuch So denies it. Lee Hwan reads the letter again. The person who wrote the letter claims that he’s a ghost. He tells Lee Hwan that he will be betrayed by his best friend.

Prince Myungan shares the snack with Won-Bo. Queen mentions Lee Hwan is going to take part in the hunting. He intends to give Lee Hwan some time. But Won-Bo tells the maid to take away Prince Myungan. He tells Queen that he wishes Lee Hwan not to use bow when she wants Crown Prince to be healthy. He tells her that he does it for her son. He asks her to trust him. She has chest pains after she heard what he said.

Eunuch So reports to Lee Hwan that the follower he sent to give wedding presents was found to be killed in the woods. He adds that the wedding presents are missing. Jae-Yi makes the herb in the cave. She takes off her clothes and applies the herb on her wound.

Does Ga-Ram Find Jae-Yi?

Tae-Gang asks Lee Hwan if he thinks Jae-Yi killed the messenger. Lee Hwan doesn’t believe Jae-Yi would do that even if she’s a bad woman in his mind. He tells Tae-Gang to go to look into Jae-Yi. Sung-On takes a look at Jae-Yi’s portrait. He tells his follower to go to look for Jae-Yi and her lover. Because he doesn’t believe that Jae-Yi killed her families.

Ga-Ram takes a look at the drawing of Jae-Yi. She remembers she told Jae-Yi to leave because Sim-Yeong told people that she killed her families. She told her that she trusted her. Jae-Yi asked Ga-Ram to do something for her. Ga-Ram isn’t sure that Jae-Yi is alive or not. Because she didn’t come.

Jae-Yi gets changed. She remembers her father Master Min asked her to read the letter of Lee Hwan. He asked her to protect Lee Hwan before he passed away. She burns her clothes and decides to go to see Lee Hwan. Because she believes that Lee Hwan knows who killed her families.

Lee Hwan practices archery. He sees the letter and it tells him that many people will be dead because of him. Lee Hwan tells Tae-Gang that he believes that he was cursed by a ghost. He mentions Master Min and his families were killed. Tae-Gang points out that the one who killed Master Min and his families was Jae-Yi. He thinks it wasn’t related to the ghost. Lee Hwan swears not to be moved by the ghost. He shoots the letter and breaks it.

Ga-Ram hears the people badmouthing Jae-Yi. She takes revenge for them. She cries when she sees Jae-Yi. She tries to be close to her. But Myung-Jin tears up the drawing of Jae-Yi in front of her. He tells her that he doesn’t believe that Jae-Yi killed her families. He walks away when the guard shows up.

The guard walks to Jae-Yi. He asks her if she tore up the drawing. She denies it and tells him that it was torn up by someone else. She reveals the guy had monkey fingers. The guard is furious to walk away. Ga-Ram joins Jae-Yi. Both cry. Ga-Ram smiles at Jae-Yi when she grabs her hands. Jae-Yi changes clothes with the bodyguard. She thanks him for helping her. He mentions she helped him many times.

Episode 1 of Our Blooming Youth K-Drama ends with Lee Hwan hunting in the woods. Jae-Yi follows him when he’s looking for the deer. He shoots the deer. He fails. Someone shows up behind Lee Hwan. Lee Hwan turns around. He targets the person. He finds out that the person is Sung-On who targets him as well.
