This is the recap of Romance is a Bonus Book Korean Drama Episode 1, Eun-Ho loves Dan-Yi, but he never confesses his love to her, even if she got married. He thinks she makes him not believe love, so he dates different girls and gets dumped to take his revenge. But he isn’t aware that love is close to him.

Eun-Ho arrives at Dan-Yi’s wedding ceremony, and says something to her when she is wearing a wedding dress. She doesn’t hear what he said, and he goes to play that piano. But he is old that Dan-Yi’s gone, so he questions the groom. The groom reveals they fought over a week ago. The girls recognize Eun-Ho as the author of The Bloody Contract series, and asks for his autograph. But he says that they have the wrong person, and leaves.
Eun-Ho complains in the car that he practiced so hard to play the piano at the wedding, but finds out that Dan-Y is in his car. He blames her for causing the ruckus, and the groom Dong-Min calls him. Dong-Min suspects his wife ran away with Eun-Ho, and reveals her mom fainted. Eun-Ho promises to bring Dan-Yi back.
Eun-Ho gets the drink for Dan-Yi from the supermarket, and says that he will take her if she wants to go somewhere else. But she is in tears and says that she has nowhere to go. So he suggests her to get on any flight that’s available. She reveals they’re supposed to go to Spain, but her mom is against it because they’re broke. She worries about her mom when their furniture pieces were bought on loan, but finds out that his car is dragged away.
“If I could return back the hands of time and picks a day to return to, I’d choose the moment whenever my marriage stressed me out. If I went to some faraway country like Eun-Ho suggested, I’d be living a very different life now.”
Dan-Yi asks the young recruit for the band-aid before giving interview, but the recruit lies that she doesn’t have. She gives the band-aid to Dan-Yi when the interview is over. The woman who interviewed Dan-Yi tells her that the workplace isn’t a picnic, and shares that she took years to get the job. The girls chase Eun-Ho and ask him if he has a girlfriend. He says that he is getting married soon. They’re shocked.
Dan-Yi does the job as the housekeeper in Eun-Ho’s house, and finds a new bra. She guesses he is seeing someone else, and calls him to suggest him to get married. He doesn’t know the housekeeper is Dan-Yi, and wants to fire her. Because he doesn’t want her to talk about him. So she asks him when he started seeing the girl with red bra. She complains that she has nowhere to go when he wants to fire her.
She takes the cashes he left, and says she needs it. Just then someone calls Dan-Yi and requires for the bank statement and a letter of employment to keep her kid Jae-Hui in the academy. So Dan-Yi texts Eun-Ho and asks him to keep him. But he claims he will change the door passcode, and complains that the housekeeper used out his shampoo and ate up his rice. But she grumbles that she didn’t eat too much.
Hae-Rin places the note on the glass and informs everyone the meeting time. But Yoo-Sun asks Hae-Rin to take it off since everyone will be late. Ji-Hong walks in and yells on the phone that someone asks to stop writing when his computer has broken down. Young-A rushes in and asks Hae-Rin to get her shoes in the car. She dresses up her face and badmouths Jae-Min when she is in the office. Jae-Min shows up under the table, and says she is late when staring at his watch.
Jae-Min offers to hire new recruits, and decides to accept all graduates. But he will get rid of the person if she has been graduate for over two years. Young-A asks about the term “No degree required”. Jae-Min thinks they will losing their luck, if they’re too calculative. So he offers to hire high school graduates, and claims getting a job is hard these days.
Dan-Yi returns her house which has been demolished, and remembers she cried out to keep Dong-Min after he cheated on her. She is going to text Jae-Hui that she didn’t get a job, but Jae-Hui calls Dan-Yi and cries that her stomach hurts. Jae-Hui shares that the medical bills aren’t covered by insurance, so she cannot go to hospital. Dan-Yi tells her daughter to go to hospital, and lies that she is rich.
Eun-Ho is going to fire his housekeeper since she messed up his laptop, but finds out Dan-Yi is looking for a job. Jae-Hui informs Dan-Yi that she only has enteritis, and the doctor says it isn’t a serious problem.
The next day, Dan-Yi wakes up and realizes that she has a interview. But she is startled by the crane, so she heads out. The worker scolds her for entering someone else’s house. So she takes her belongings and leaves.
Dan-Yi is tired when she is at the bus stop. and thinks she needs a band-aid to cover her wound on her leg. But someone kicks away her shoe, and it rolls to street after getting hit by the car. So she tells the company that she cannot make it to the interview when she only has one shoe, and asks them to postpone it. But they reject it, so she cries out at the bus stop.
Dan-Yi goes to the shop to buy a umbrella when it’s raining, but changes her mind when her daughter asks for money. She throws away her only shoe, and returns Eun-Ho’s house. But he changed the passcode. So she calls him, but he doesn’t pick up.
Eun-Ho meets with his girlfriend who tells him that she is getting married. He is interested in the man she is seeing instead of her, and she is furious when he says he isn’t intention to get married. So she holds the water. He knows what she means, and takes off his coat. But the woman pours the water on her body and the coat. She thinks he doesn’t believe love. Eun-Ho sits alone in that cafe, and says Dan-Yi makes her not believe love.
Dan-Yi takes the wine and stares at the wedding dress. She remembers Eun-Ho asked her if she is ok in the wedding. Eun-Ho calls Dan-Yi, and she asks him why he didn’t pick up. He says that he was busy getting dumped, and his ex thought he doesn’t know love. Dan-Yi agrees because men are clueless when it comes to love. But he says that it was because of her, and asks her if she is looking for a job. She complains that her account will be empty once she wire Jae-Hui all she has left.
She says that she is at the edge of her life, and swears to follow the next guy she encounters. But the man she encounters is a drunkard, and he grabs her hand. Seo-Joon pretends to be her boyfriend, and drives away the drunkard. He notices she is bare-footed, and explains that he has a pair of shoes. He wipes the dirt on her feet, and wears it for her. He finds out it fits perfectly, but she says the shoes are hers.
Seo-Joon reveals he picked up her shoe and waved to her, but she didn’t response him. He picked her another shoe, and thinks they met like a miracle. Dan-Yi laughs because he made her to be the Cinderella, but she doesn’t believe the fairy tale. She’d rather write her own life’s story. It’s raining, Seo-Joon holds the umbrella, and asks her if she is cold. She admits she is cold, but life has cold days. She gives the onion pot to him as a gift, and refuses his umbrella. But he forces her to accept the umbrella.
Dan-Yi returns Eun-Ho’s home, and he notices she is soaking wet. She asks him to get the water to her, and gets a blanket herself. She offers to sleep over at his house, and walks to upstairs. But he grabs her hand, and persuades her to make up with her husband. She yells at him that she doesn’t have a place to go. He releases her hand and returns his room, thinking he should call her husband. But he changes his mind.

The next day, he places her resume on the table and asks about it. But she is silent and keeps eating, and wants to be his housekeeper when he is intention to hire a new one. She reveals that she got divorced a year ago. But he thinks she is writing a novel, and asks her to wash the dishes. Before he leaves, he asks her if her husband cheated on her, but she doesn’t reply him. When she is washing dishes, she finds the recruiting which doesn’t have degree requirement. The next day, Dan-Yi visits Eun-Ho’s company as the applicant. He is shocked when seeing her resume.
