The Legend of Hao Lan Chinese Drama Recap: Episode 3

Yi Ren has to persuade Princess Ya to marry his brother Zi Xi when she pulls out her sword. But she only wants to marry Yi Ren, and remembers he comforted her when she tore alone in the evening. She fell for him since then.
But Yi Ren thinks he cannot match with her since he is still a hostage. She doesn’t care and confesses her love, and promises to take revenge for those people who bullied him. But he rejects her love.
Lu Buwei asks Hao Lan to learn playing zither and dancing from music teacher. Her music stuns everyone, and she admits that she learned it from a famous music teacher. Lu Buwei knows that Hao Lan is ambitious, and doesn’t have any retreat.
He asks Situ Yue to follow Hao Lan and reports what she does to him. The musician suggests Lu Buwei to make Hao Lan replace Yao Ji. Yao Ji hears what they walk, and is furious. Hao Lan slips and almost trips when dancing. Lu Buwei grabs her, but she is cold to him.
Lu Buwei wants to send Hao Lao to prime minister’s house, and wishes King of Zhao falls for her. She complains that he is greedy to power. But he explains that he got bullied in the Kingdom of Wei, and he swore to make everyone be on knees to him.
Hao Lan doesn’t want to be Lu Buwei’s slave, but his partner. So she asks for half of his property if he achieves his goal. He agrees. Yao Ji knows Hao Lan is going to be sent to prime minister’s house, she swears to make Hao Lan lose her reputation.
Hao Lan dances in the prime minister’s house, and Zhao Sheng is lost. But he leaves when the battlefield report arrives. Gongzi Jiao blocks Hao Lan’s way, and blames her for ambition. He asks her to stay with him, and promises to give what she wants.
She ignores him, so he asks Lu Buwei for Hao Lan. But Lu Buwei rejects it. Zhao Sheng knows Kingdom of Qing is going to attack Kingdom of Zhao. So King of Zhao cancels the marriage and locks up Yi Ren. Yi Ren wants to threaten King of Qing with his death. But Zhao Sheng thinks Yi Ren doesn’t have any value in King of Qing’s eyes.
Gongzi Jiao threatens Lu Zhuwei to make him cannot stay in Han Dan. Lu Buwei blames Gongzi Jiao for treating Hao Lan as toy. Zhao Sheng shows up and stops their argument, and Gongzi Jiao wrongs Lu Buwei to be the spy. Zhao Sheng has to lock Lu Buwei up.
Li He wants to take Hao Lan home, but she disagrees. So he asks the servants to catch her. Gao Min persuades Li He to give Hao Lan to Yu Sikou. Hao Lan blames Li He selling daughter for getting promoted, and thinks he isn’t a human being. Li He slaps her and is intention to send her to Yu Sikou. Hao Lan hits the pillar with her head, and passes out.
Lu Buwei talks with Yi Ren when he is playing chess alone. Hao Lan wake up but she is insane. The doctor thinks she hurt her brain, but Gao Min thinks Hao Lan is intention to do it.
The Legend of Hao Lan Chinese Drama Recap: Episode 4
Yi Ren tells Lu Buwei that he always gets locked up when Qing kingdom and Zhao kingdom have war. Lu Buwei thinks Yi Ren is a genius, and shares his father sent him to Zhao kingdom as the hostage is to gain the reputation for him.
Yi Ren disagrees and thinks Lu Buwei is a spy. He asks him about Hao Lan. Lu Buwei thinks Yi Ren likes the woman, and they decide to run away from the jail.
Gongzi Jiao visits Hao Lan and comforts her. But she is scared of him. So he confesses his love and swears to stay with her one day. But she stares at the cricket in the grasses. Gao Min suspected Hao Lan pretended to be insane, so she asked Gongzi Jiao to test her. Gongzi Jiao tells Gao Min that Hao Lan is insane, but she still doesn’t believe it.
Princess Ya begs Queen Li to forgive Yi Ren, but Queen Li thinks Yi Ren wants to use Princess Ya. Princess Ya blames her mother that she only has power in her eyes. Qeen Li is furious to slap Princess Ya. She promises to forgive Yi Ren, but he needs to marry Princess Ya first.
Situ Que visits Zhao Sheng and him to forgive Yi Ren with gold, and lies that he is Yi Ren’s follower. Zhao Sheng knows Yi Ren is poor, Situ Que admits he is Lu Buwei’s follow. If Ri Ren gets released, Lu Buwei will be safe. Zhao Sheng doesn’t want to get controlled by a businessman. So he asks Situ Que to take the gold back, but releases Yi Ren.
Gao Min doesn’t believe Hao Lan and puts her into pig sty, but Hao Lan rolls into it and plays with the pigs. Xiu Yu thinks Hao Lan pretends to be insane so that she won’t be gotten marry to Yu Sikou. Hao Lan casts a pig manure to Xiu Yu’s face, Xiu Yu is scared to flee. Hao Lan worries that she will collapse if Lu Buwei doesn’t go to save her.
Princess Ya visits jail and wants to save Yi Ren with the status of king’s son-in-law. But he rejects her. Lu Buwei persuades Yi Ren to marry Princess Ya, but Yi Ren doesn’t want to be a poor victim.
Zhao Sheng asks King of Zhao to release Yi Ren, and thinks kingdom of Han will get benefits if they begin the war. King of Zhao agrees. Gao Min sends the dishes to Hao Lan with spoiled water, Hao Lan passes out afte eating it.
Xiu Yu wipes off the pig manure on her face, and complains to Gao Min. She reveals that her husband still misses Hao Lan, so Gao Min decides to get rid of Hao Lan.
Hao Lan stuns Madam Lin and flees. She doesn’t expect Lu Buwei sent Situ Yue to wait at the gate, and gets in the carriage. Lu Buwei and Ri Ren becomes best friends, and they’re ready to die.
King of Zhao promises Princess Ya not to marry her to Qing kingdom when she isn’t happy. But he disagrees her to marry Ri Ren. She swears to achieve her goal. When Lu Buwei and Ri Ren are going to get killed, the king announces to release them. Yi Ren guesses Lu Buwei’s follower saved them.
Princess Ya visits Yi Ren and asks him to wear the clothes she made. But he is hurt by the needle. She is pleased that she wants him to taste the feeling of getting hurt. Hao Lan returns Lu family, and Lu Buwei applies the ointment for her.
She complains that he didn’t save her in time. He explains that he knew she will be safe, and tells her to get tough. Yao Ji knows Hao Lan returns, and decides to hurt her again. She complains to Lu Buwei’s father Lu Xin that his son lost a lot of money for a girl and fought with Gongzi Jiao.
Lu Xin is furious and wants to get Hao Lan out of the house. Yao Ji worries Lu Buwei doesn’t want to give up Hao Lan, so she borrows the pearl from Lu Xin.
