These are 1-2 episodes of Wok of Love Korean Drama, Poong is a chef who works for a hotel, he wants to get promoted until Master Wang leaves, so that his girl friend Doctor Seok won’t look down on him. But his boss Seung Ryong slept with his girlfriend before they get marry.
Wok of Love Korean Drama Recap: Episodes 1
Poong reveals to Geok Jung that his first kiss is when he was 15, she thinks it’s too late, and guesses he slept with the girl, and replies, “burnt taste!” When he asks her that what fiery taste is same as. He enjoys while cooking, after she left. Sae Woo says that she is hungry after fencing, and admits she is lose.
Poong thinks he is going to replace Master Wang after he retires, while getting in the elevator. Seung Ryong kisses Doctor Seok after knowing she came out from a surgery for him, even if she claims she is going to get marry within one week. He thinks one week is enough to get her, and slept with her on the couch.
Doctor Seok wants to transfer Doctor Oh to other department, after colleagues that he always booked Chinese food which is greasy. Poong finds out that his food is thrown into trash can after taking coffee to visit Doctor Seok’s office.
He tells her that Master Wang is going to go to China, so that he will get promoted to help her open a private practice. She says congratulations, and falls asleep. Sae Woo persuades Chil Seong not to cut his hair too short, and reveals it looks like a gangster. He claims it’s his hair, and asks to cut a gangster hairstyle. She is speechless after hearing what he said.
Sae Woo tells Poong that her groom want 4 kids, and asks her to deliver as fast as she can, since he is an obstetrician. He kisses Doctor Seok when she appears says that you don’t have to feel sorry, because you’re my girl. But she doesn’t hug him, when he hugs her from back. Sae Woo calls them, says, “My groom is here” when her groom appears. But they ignore her. Sae Woo and her groom dance behind Doctor Seok and Poong after she knows he registered their marriage. Chil Seong smiles when seeing Sae Woo wearing wedding dress with her groom, and tells his follower that half of couples get divorced these days.
Poong tells Doctor Seok that they are going to register, and have baby soon when they are in the car, reveals the couple they met, the groom is a obstetrician. But Doctor Seok is silent and wilt. Poong kisses Doctor Seok’s face after wearing ring for her, but she hesitates until Seung Ryong appears in the wedding hall.
One month later.
Dad gives $300,000 to Sae Woo, and asks her to buy herself a dinner, she is excited, and says that she will eat it up. Maeng Dal spies giant hotel through unmanned aerial vehicle, Yi Man warns him that police will come, if he continues doing it.
A woman asks Chil Seong for money since she bought him a stick of gum, but he tears up a paper from wall after he found out that he is broke. She presses his head into bowl when he is eating, asking him why he gave her a fake bill since she will be dead.
Master Wang scolds chiefs, and thinks they didn’t cut well, revealing that Chinese food is all about the cutting part.
Wok of Love Korean Drama Recap: Episodes 2
Master Wang asks Poong to take his dishes to guests since his dishes are good. Sae Woo donates $299.989 to hotel, and claims she is on a diet when they want to treat her a dinner. But she says that she is hungry after going out. Poong thinks she is crazy after Geok Jung told him that there is a member donating almost $300,000 to hotel. Sae Woo thinks they’re right after hearing it, and thinks she should ask for black bean noodles.
Master Wang thinks Poong is sly when seeing him burning dishes in front of guests. Sae Woo and her friend wants to eat jajangmyeon and jjampong, but the waitress claims their hotel doesn’t offer such foods. Just then Poong passes by, Sae Woo remembers him, and asks him to cook it for them. But he says no!
Master Wang calls Poong to his office, and throws knife towards his foot, saying that this will fall on your foot. Poong avoids it rapidly, and gets angry. Master Wang thinks Poong didn’t trust him, and says that his promoted will stomp his career. Poong points out that his dishes is too spicy, so that he toned it with alcohol and fire. But Master Wang insists that he didn’t obey his order, even though Poong thinks customer is priority.
Poong rushes into hall, holding her hand, and take her out of hotel, telling her that he will cook what she want for her. Dong Sik tells Chil Seong that the knife is dull, so that he took some time, when Chil Seong is eating jajangmyeon. Chil Seong asks Dong Sil why there isn’t any customer coming to their store. Dong Sil thinks it’s because their dishes aren’t delicious. Chil Seong laughs, and says that he thought he is the only one who knew it. Just then Maeng Dal takes others breaking into with birthday cake, and claims it’s their birthday. The text shows, “Congratulations on turn over a new leaf!”

Maeng Dal persuaded Chil Seong to be careful of their enemies, when Chil Seong was sending cash to his followers in the car. Chil Seong said that he didn’t worry about it, as he trusted Maeong Dal. But there car was hit, and turned over, when they talked about Nietzsche in the car. Everybody came out except Chil Seong. Just then Crooked appears with his followers, asking them to leave their boss. But they didn’t. Crooked threw cigarette butts on the ground which is full of petrol nearby the car. The car is explosion.
Chil Seong lied in bed with his followers at hospital when they waked up. A woman stepped in the room, and asked, “Does anybody need jajangmyeon?” They wanted to eat it, but could not move because their conditions, and has to bray.
Now.
Chil Seong announces that they’re closing today, his followers are shocked after hearing what he said. Poong hides his wedding ring when Sae sees it, and asks her what she wants to eat. She replies seafood jajangmyeon, and claims she has been starving all day. Jung Hye walks alone the street, and looks for someone. An older woman comes to her, and asks her to buy gum from her, Jung Hye is scared, and claims that she only has cashier’s checks. But the old woman says that she can give her change, and robs her money rapidly, giving the fake bill Chil Seong gave her, after Jung Hye took it out. Jung Hye thinks the gum is too expensive, but old woman denies, and thinks it isn’t tenth she spent there. The old woman laughs, and thinks she is a idiot, because it’s a fake bill.
Chil Seong tells his followers that he opened a restaurant here is to help them learn how to cook jajangmyeon, and open a restaurant somewhere, and get marry. Maeng Dal says, “Did Nietzsche say something?” Chil Seong thinks Nietzche won’t come again after eating their foods. Maeng Dal disagrees, and reveals people don’t like Chinese food anymore, mentioning a restaurant in the hotel across from them, they don’t have any customer because of selling Chinese foods. Chil Seong laughs, and thinks it’s impossible. Yi Man mentions he saw it as well. Chil Seong doesn’t want to argue with them, and says that they’re closed. Just then someone knock on the door, Maeng is excited because there is a customer.
Poong looks around the restaurant, and orders jajangmyeon, finding out they dropped five woks and use male onions to make jajangmyeon. He rejects when Gang Ho asks him if he wants dumplings, and asks for chunjang instead. Meanwhile, Maeng Dal is bleeding when cutting. Poong asks chunjang for 8 persons, and pays it. Gang Ho takes money from wall, and gives him change, claiming that it’s real money, when Poong suspects it. He steps into kitchen, and tells others that it’s for 8 persons. Chil Seong gets tea for Poong, and asks him to drink.
Poong thinks the taste will be bad, and reveals he cannot wait too long, after taking chunjang. Meanwhile, Dong Sik discusses with Maeng Dal if they need to pour water on noodles. Poong tells Gang Ho that they shouldn’t run business like this, thinking they ruin Chinese food’s fame, reveals there is only one food which is edible is chunjang he just bought. Hence he will take it away.

Maeng Dal finds out the customer is gone after he takes out 8 serving jajangmyeon with other guys. Chil Seong says that he is a jerk, and takes the money from Gang Ho to chase Poong. Poong wants to flee after sense Chil Seong is chasing him with his followers, but he is almost hit by a car when he wants to walk across the street. He asks Sae Woo not to come to him with wave. Maeng Dal beats Poong up when Chil Seong wants to talk to him. Chil Seong makes apologize to Poong, and tells him that he doesn’t need the money, asking him to eat the food his followers made. Poong denies, and reveals he doesn’t want to eat disgusting food. Maeng Dal gets angry, and points him with his fingers, asking him how he knew it since he isn’t a superman. He admits they’re gangsters, but they didn’t commit crimes in the kitchen, and thinks they’re innocent in front of food, reveals they didn’t save money with the ingredients, thinking he hurt his pride when he doesn’t want to eat it.
Poong walks across street when traffic light turns green. Sae Woo comes to him as well. Maeng Dal chases Poong, even if Chil Seong claim that their shop is closed. She tells Poong that she is going to take taxi when running into. Just then Maeng Dal lifts Poong with other guys, and returns to Chil Seong. Poong yells at Sae Woo, and says that he told her that he is going to make jajangmyeon for her, when she walks alone the street. Chil Seong beats up Poong when stopping his followers from hurting him, just then Sae Woo hits Chil Seong with roadblock. She reveals that she is going to get marry tomorrow, and is shocked that Chil Seong is a gangster. Poong splits them up, and thinks they shouldn’t get the woman involved. Chil Seong persuades Sae Woo not to get marry, and reveals getting a divorce is hard. She thinks he is crazy, and wants to leave. But Poong holds her hand, and reveals wedding isn’t important, and asks her not to get marry as well, revealing that he is going to make a big bowl of jajangmyeon for her.
