The Summer I Turned Pretty season 3 is a love story about Belly, Jeremiah and Conrad. Conrad is an outstanding boy. His father Adam and Belly’s mother Laurel like him very much. They planned to let the guy marry Belly. But Conrad gave up the chance. Because his mother Susannah wished him to leave the chance to his brother Jeremiah. It was a hard decision for him. He loved Belly very much. He knew she loves him. But he still forced her to break up with him. She didn’t know the reason. She fell for Jeremiah after she got along with him.
Conrad left home. He went to Stanford. He studied medicine there. He found a good job. But he came home after he was fired. Belly and Jeremiah were shocked when they saw the guy in the summer house. They returned to the house after Laurel had a fight with Belly. Conrad was told that the two are going to get married. He went against it like other people. But he decided to support them in The Summer I Turned Pretty season 3. Belly felt uneasy after knowing she needs to live Conrad at the house. Because Jeremiah is her fiance. Belly was very happy after she went to Finch College in The Summer I Turned Pretty season 3 episode 1. Because she can live with Jeremiah. She got a chance to go to Paris. She shared the good news with her boyfriend. He supported her and he thought it’s a good chance. But she found out that he cheated on her. He slept with a girl after they had a fight. She thought it was an infidelity. But he disagreed. Because he mistook that they broke up. So he thought he could do that.
But Belly told Jeremiah that it wasn’t a breakup. She decided not to forgive the guy. He tried his best to obtain her forgiveness. But Belly’s friends Taylor and Anika drove him away. They thought the guy doesn’t deserve such a good girl. The situation took a turn for the better. Belly’s brother Steven was in a car accident after he had a fight with Taylor. Taylor and Belly went to the hospital. They didn’t know what to do. The doctor was rule. It seems that he didn’t plan to give the guy a good treatment.
Belly missed Jeremiah. She thought it will be better if her boyfriend can accompany her. Taylor contacted Jeremiah. He came to the hospital soon after knowing what happened. He waited in the lobby. He didn’t approach Belly because he knew she doesn’t forgive him. Belly knew the guy came because she saw him. Taylor persuaded Belly that the guy is very poor.
Belly remembered she and Conrad spent the night together when Jeremiah wasn’t at home. Although she didn’t sleep with Conrad, she didn’t let Jeremiah know about his brother’s arrival. She thought she’s no different from Jeremiah. She accepted his proposal soon.
Conrad Approaches Belly When She Eats The Peach
Jeremiah and Belly announced that they’re going to get married. But Laurel and Adam went against it. Laurel threatened not to attend Belly’s wedding. The couple needed to prepare the wedding on their own since their parent didn’t support them. Jeremiah got a job from Adam’s company. Belly had to go shopping flowers and cake. Conrad worried about the girl.
Conrad saw Belly leaving with a bike. He knew her journey won’t go smoothly. He found the girl after she failed to buy a cake because the cake was expensive. He took her to go shopping flowers. They passed by a peach stall. He parked his car because she was hungry. He touched her when she ate the peach. He realized that what he’s doing isn’t right.
The Summer I Turned Pretty season 3 episode 5 didn’t show what Belly thought at that moment. But he leaks it in episode 6. Belly returns to the summer house after she reunited with her mother at the shower. She tries to wrote a letter to Taylor and her mother after the two held the shower for her. But Conrad was injured after he went surfing. He’s a doctor. But he cannot dress his wound on his own. So Belly helps him. But he leans on her shoulder. It makes her have feelings for him. She says that there was no peach this time. It indicates that she had feelings for him when she ate the peach. She just didn’t show it.
Conrad was Belly’s first love. She’s the man she cannot forget in her life even if she has a fiance. Belly and Jeremiah planned to get married. They needed to the best man. Jeremiah chose Steven as his best man. But he still wished Conrad as his best man. But Conrad didn’t plan to be Jeremiah’s best man. He even told Jeremiah that he and Belly’s marriage is ridiculous. Belly heard the words from his fiance soon. She got angry after knowing the comment. Why would she care for what Conrad thinks. The only explanation is that she still has feelings for him. She just doesn’t want to admit it.
Belly’s behavior makes me worry about her and Jeremiah’s wedding. She’s going to marry a man. But she still misses the man’s brother. She tired her best to get her mother to support her marriage. Belly should decide which man she loves before she gets married. Although Jeremiah will be hurt, he will understand it in the end. I’m not sure if Conrad will continue to keep his promise to his mother. Susannah was smart and kind. But she made the wrong decision. She broke up two people who loved each other. She let the son she loved suffer.
