Lv Buwei visits Hao Lan in the prison in The Legend of Hao Lan episode 11. She threatens him that she will expose his conspiracy. He figures it out that she’s testing him. She laughs. She thinks he shouldn’t let her go since he held her hand. She won’t forgive him if he does it. He grabs her arm. He mistook that she gave up. She swears to live since those guys want her to die.
The maid is burning something in the yard. Zhao King passes by. The eunuch asks the maid what she’s burning. She explains it to him that she burned Hao Lan’s stuff because the lady is going to be killed. Zhao King suspects that it’s the evidence that Hao Lan committed treason. He thinks the maid is Hao Lan’s accomplice. The eunuch picks up the bamboo slip. He gives the bamboo slip to Zhao King. Zhao King reads the bamboo slip. He learns that Hao Lan blessed him and Empress.
The maid mentions what Hao Lan said that she wants to do something for Zhao Kingdom because there was a war. Hao Lan sewed winter boots and coat. It was left in her room. The maid tells Zhao King that Hao Lan isn’t like such a person who would commit treason.
Zhao King visits Hao Lan in the prison. The eunuch asks Hao Lan to greet Zhao King when she’s very weak. Hao Lan greets Zhao King. He finds out that she’s bleeding. He shows her the bamboo slip. She admits it to him that the bamboo slip was written by her. She claims that she didn’t commit treason. She thinks someone wronged her. She vomits blood. Zhao King asks the bodyguard what happened. The bodyguard knows nothing about it. He reveals Doctor Yin came to see Hao Lan. The doctor said that Hao Lan is fine.
Princess and Empress are in the palace. Princess is very happy because the spy was arrested and Prince Qin was released. Empress wonders why Princess thinks Hao Lan is a spy. She points out that the peach was given by Princess. She blames her for touching the lady in her palace for a man. But Princess thinks it’s not her business because Hao Lan was the one who betrayed the kingdom.
Empress brings up that Prince Qin meets Hao Lan often. She thinks Princess wanted to kill Hao Lan. She admits that Prince Qin is very handsome. She reminds her daughter that the prince came to Zhao Kingdom for protecting himself. She mentions the prince will be abandoned by the people of Qin Kingdom as long as he marries a princess of Zhao Kingdom. She thinks the guy won’t marry Princess. Princess understands it. But she has feelings for Prince Qin even if her mother has many reasons to stop her. Empress reminds Princess that she has only one mother. She blames her for going against her. Princess points out that Empress knows nothing about love. She thinks her mother doesn’t care for her at all. She tells her that her heart is like a frost that doesn’t have any emotion. Empress slaps Princess. She thinks her daughter became a stupid woman for love.
Zhao King arrives with Hao Lan. He tells Empress that Hao Lan is going to die. She figures it out that her husband went to the prison. He explains it to her that he thought Hao Lan isn’t like such a person. Princess persuades her father not to suspect it. Because they have the evidence. But he wants to save the person first.
Doctor Yin shows up. Hao Lan grabs the doctor’s hand when she sees her. Doctor Yin reports to Zhao King that Hao Lan was poisoned. She thinks it’s cinnabar poison. He doesn’t believe it because he knows cinnabar is a medicine. She explains it to him that cinnabar will produce toxicity as long as it’s burned. Zhao King asks the bodyguard what happened. The bodyguard claims that the food wasn’t poisonous. Princess thinks Doctor Yin misdiagnosed. Doctor Yin talks back that she doesn’t know Princess can treat illnesses.
Princess thinks Hao Lan took medicine for killing herself. Doctor Yin points out that Hao Lan has a tongue. She thinks it would be very easy to bite the tongue. She mentions there was no burned cinnabar in the prison. Zhao King stops the two women’s fight. Lv Buwei visits. He reports to Zhao King that Marquise Shu is dead. He suspects that someone wanted to kill Hao Lan. The bodyguard reports to Zhao King that Xiu Yu visited Hao Lan before Hao Lan was poisoned.
Zhao King summons Xiu Yu. He asks her why she visited Hao Lan. She claims that she did it because Hao Lan is her sister. Zhao King asks the bodyguard what Xiu Yu said when she visited. The bodyguard reveals the lady gave him a bag of money. The lady asked him to give Hao Lan a lesson. But he didn’t do that. Zhao King thinks Xiu Yu is a wicked woman. She gets on her knees to him. She thinks she was wronged. But she’s taken away after everyone knew her true face.
The maid takes Hao Lan back to her room. Hao Lan and Doctor Yin become friends after the doctor concealed the secret for Hao Lan. Lv Buwei gives Hao Lan a fur coat. She’s very happy because he didn’t give up her. Hao Lan works for Empress after she recovered. Empress reminds Hao Lan that she only needs a helper. She promise to manage Princess. Hao Lan understands that Princess didn’t hurt her.
Qin Army surrounds Zhao Kingdom for one month. Zhao King doesn’t know how to let Qin Army retreat. Young Master Jiao offers to let Lv Buwei gather the money and the food. So they will recruit more soldiers. Zhao King agrees to his son’s plan.
Prince Qin plays Go with Hao Lan in the room. She wins. Lv Buwei shows up. He doesn’t know how to complete the task even if he knows it was Young Master Jiao’s scheme. Hao Lan brings up Mr. Mengchang. Lv Buwei hands over the letter to Prince Qin. Prince Qin learns that his mother fractured for blessing him. Lv Buwei promises to help Prince Qin return to Qin Kingdom. Hao Lan asks the prince to trust Lv Buwei.

Hao Lan walks out of Prince Qin’s house. Prince Qin sees her off. Princess gets angry after she witnessed. She decides to give the dried fruit to her father. Princess visits Zhao King with the dried fruit. She teaches him how to take Hao Lan. Zhao King visits Empress. He wishes to let Hao Lan prepare for the sacrifice. She promises him that she will send the lady to his palace after the sacrifice. Hao Lan leaves Empress’s palace. She returns home. She figures it out that Empress did it for striking Consort Yun.
Zhao King summons Lv Buwei to his court. He wonders if the guy completed the task. Lv Buwei didn’t take back the money and food. But he got trust from the people for Zhao King. Zhao King hears the good news that there were 30,000 people joining his army. Lv Buwei agrees to donate his money to the soldiers on the front lines.
