Zhao Paner tells Gu Qianfan that she will give the painting to him as long as he gives the money to her. She cries to tell him that she should save Sun Yinzhang because her older sister got killed because of her. Gu Qianfan shows the gold brand to Zhao Paner. He tells her that he cannot prove his identity if he gives it to her.
Gu Qianfan gives the jade to Zhao Paner. He tells her not to tell others that she has Night Banquet Painting. He thinks the painting will bring more troubles than the lives of Yang House. He walks away. She tears up.

The officer runs into Qu Qianfan. He smells the blood from his body. He summons other officers. The chief officer asks Gu Qianfan why he got stained by blood. Gu Qianfan explains that he carried the pig for Butcher Zhang. He puts his knife on his neck. He walks away after he let him tie himself up.
Chen Lian tails Gu Qianfan. But he gets kidnapped by him. Chen Lian asks the general for two horses. He leaks that he wants to look for Gu Qianfan. The general agrees to Chen Lian’s plan. He tells him to kill Gu Qianfan after he catches him. Gu Qianfan leaves the city with Chen Lian. The general arrests the guy because he thinks he looks like Gu Qianfan.
Gu Qianfan takes Chen Lian to the house. Chen Lian asks Gu Qianfan to release him. He promises not to say anything. He offers to eat the sleeping medicine. He believes he flees after he wakes up. But Gu Qianfan tells Chen Lian that he’s heartless.
Chen Lian gets on knees to Gu Qianfan. He cries to tell him that he cannot cause trouble because he has an old mom and some children. But Gu Qianfan doesn’t believe what Chen Lian said because he looks very young. He asks him who wants to kill him. Chen Lian doesn’t know it.
The hairpin drops. Chen Lian leaks that the hairpin came from South Pacific Ocean. Sun Sanniang asks Zhao Paner why she was sure that the tower owner would lend the second floor to her. Zhao Paner reveals she thought the tower owner would pity Sun Yinzhang because she’s a lowly woman as well. She wishes Gu Qianfan to have good luck.
Zhao Paner sneaks into Zhou House to look for Sun Yinzhang. Sun Yinzhang hears Zhao Paner’s voice. She cannot move because she got tied up. She kicks the stone into the water. Zhao Paner follows the sound. She finds Sun Yinzhang. She unties her. Sun Yinzhang cries. She feels regret for not listening to Zhao Paner’s words.
A Dream of Splendor Chinese Drama: Episode 4 Ending
Gu Qianfan tries to visit Wan Qi. Chen Lian stops Gu Qianfan. He thinks the officers aren’t reliable. But Gu Qianfan doesn’t believe that Wan Qi will betray him. He tells Chen Lian not to follow him. Gu Qianfan gets into Wan House. He sees Wan Qi drinking.
