Zhao Paner thinks it’s unfair. She shows the wound on Song Yinzhang’s arm to the lord. But he thinks she knows nothing about the laws. He thinks she’s not a good person. He tells the officers to arrest her. He intends to punish her.
Song Yinzhang and Sun Sanniang ask the lord to forgive Zhao Paner. But they’re pulled aside. Gu Qianfan stops the lord before he punishes Zhao Paner. He holds umbrella for her and smiles at her. Zhao Paner stares at him. She finds out he turns into Chen Lian.

Xu Yong shows up. The lord welcomes him. Xu Yong tells the lord to sentence again. The lord lets the officers to beat Zhou She. Zhao Paner goes to look for Gu Qianfan after Chen Lian hinted her. She finds him, thinking she’s strong like him.
Zhao Paner walks Gu Qianfan. She mentions Xu Yong helped them. She asks Gu Qianfan if he’s fine. He admits it. Sun Sanniang calls Zhao Paner from her back when she tries to take a look at Gu Qianfan’s hand. Su Sanniang laughs after she realized that the God behind the case was him.
Zhao Paner notes that Song Yinzhang isn’t happy. Sun Sanniang leaks that the people thought Song Yinzhang sold her body. Zhao Paner tells Song Yinzhang to ignore those people. Sun Sanniang tells Song Yinzhang that Gu Qianfan was the one who saved her. Song Yinzhang thanks Gu Qianfan. She takes a look at him. She has feelings for him.
Zhou She takes off the officers. He’s furious to rush to Zhao Paner. He waves the chain to attack her. Song Yinzhang trips. Gu Qianfan kicks Zhou She away before he hurts Song Yinzhang. He helps Song Yinzhang get up. She tells him that she wants to repay him.
Gu Qianfan stops Song Yinzhang. He tells her that he let his follower go to take her lute. She’s very happy. Xu Yong shows up. He tells Zhao Paner that she prepares a carriage after he heard that she wants to go to capital. Gu Qianfan tells Xu Yong to prepare another carriage to send Song Yinzhang and Sun Sanniang to Qiantang county.
But Song Yinzhang and Sun Sanniang want to go to capital with Zhao Paner. Zhao Paner worries about Song Yinzhang’s status of musician. Xu Yong promises to help Song Yinzhang. Gu Qianfan stares at Zhao Paner. He thinks she was scared.
Gu Qianfan tells Zhao Paner that she won’t have any chance when she faces the lord. He reminds her that she will face emperor’s families after she goes to capital. She agrees to what he said. She claims that she will find a way. He tells her that he cannot protect her if something happens to her in capital.

Ouyang Xu tells Zhao Paner that he has to delay the wedding. She agrees to it. He tells her that he intends to give the wedding to her after he gets married with Lady Gao.
