This is the recap for A Girl Like Me Chinese Drama: Episode 9. Elder Princess tells Rong Xia that his father asked General Ban for Tiger Statue. But General Ban rejected it. She says that his father’s death wasn’t related to Ban family. She threatens him that she will report it to Emperor if he’s close to Ban Hua.

Ban Hua runs into Rong Xia and tells him that she forgives him for the case of Dragon and Well Cake. She tells him to obey her. But he’s cold to her, and tells her that he doesn’t want to get her involved. Crown Princess drinks the tea Ban Hua made, and wonders why Elder Princess doesn’t come.
Ban Hua visits Elder Princess and sees Rong Xia there. She wonders why he’s there, and summons Doctor Zhang since Elder Princess is sick. Doctor Zhang arrives and gives the medicine to the maid. He leaves soon. Rong Xia breaks the bowl when the maid is going to feed Elder Princess the medicine. Ban Hua finds out that the medicine contains poison.
Rong Xia takes out the medicine bottle, and tells Ban Hua to use it on Elder Princess. Emperor asks Crown Prince why Elder Princess still doesn’t come. Crown Prince says that he doesn’t know it. Second Prince thinks Crown Prince isn’t suitable for the position.
Emperor picks up Elder Princess and gives his birthday calligraphy to her. She feels happy. Crown Prince gives the birthday present the black bird to Elder Princess. But the black bird calls Crown Prince as emperor. Emperor doesn’t feel happy and wants to punish Crown Prince. Elder Princess tells Emperor to forgive Crown Prince.
Mr. Mei reports to Emperor that Ban family spent so much money while throwing the birthday party, and the refugees complain about it. Rong Xia takes out the account book which proves Ban family is very frugal. He adds that Ban Hua even gave the rest money to the refugees. Ban Hua asks Emperor for the justice. So Emperor arrests Mr. Mei.
The man in white sneaks into Elder Princess’s house, and steals the Tiger Statue. Du Jiu tries to take the Tiger Statue from the thief. But Ruan Mianmian mistakes Du Jiu as the thief. The thief flees. Mr. Yan scolds Yan Zhen for helping Ban Hua. Yan Zhen is shy. Mr. Yan learns that his son likes Ban Hua.
Second Prince blames Xie Chongjing for not shaking Ban family with his plan. Xie Chongjing points out that Emperor trusts him more than Crown Prince. Second Prince feels happy and promises to get Xie Wanru to be empress if he takes the throne.
Ying Bangbang shows Ban Hua the gift Rong Xia gave to Elder Princess. Ban Hua finds out it’s Dragon and Well Cakes. She feels happy, and tells Ruan Mianmian to take off Second Prince’s clothes. Because she knows he did many bad things today. Second Prince walks out of the hotel. The guy pours the water on him. Ruan Mianmian goes to take off his clothes with other people.
Du Jiu asks Rong Xia why he didn’t force Elder Prince to tell him the truth with the medicine. Rong Xia says that he didn’t want to be the person who killed his parents. Xie Chongjing visits Rong Xia and tells him that the one who killed his parents is Shi family. He hands over a letter to him.
