“Court Lady” is a new Chinese historical drama which comes out in 2021. The drama tells a story about a guy Sheng Chumu who works hard to be a big general after she fell for a beauty Fu Rou.
Xu Kai and Li Yitong are the lead actors.
Xu Kai starred Chinese historical drama “Dance of the Sky Empire” in 2020. He played a boy Li Xuan who wants to protect his love. He also starred “Once Upon a Time in Lingjian Mountain”. He played a disciple Wang Wu who falls for his master.
Li Yitong starred Chinese romance drama “Go Go Squid Season2: Dt. Appledog’s Time” in 2021. She played an outstanding female game player who wants to get world champion for China. She also starred “Dear Missy” in 2020.

Summary
The servant reports to Princess Han that Sheng Chumu got beaten by Lu Qi in the bar, and it makes Prince get angry. Madam Sheng tries to stop her husband Sheng Xiaojing from beating his son. He blames Sheng Chumu for getting beaten like a grandson because Lu Qi’s father Lu Yunji isn’t his rival.
Sheng Chumu talks back that he’s the best man in girl’s mind. Princess Han shows up and asks Sheng Chumu why he fought with Lu Qi. Sheng Chumu reveals Lu Qi fought with him for the beauty Lian Yaner. Princess Han thinks Lu family doesn’t put Han prince family in their mind. Madam Shen agrees to what Princess Han said. She says that his son is the brother-in-law of Prince Han.
Sheng Xiaojing blames Madam Sheng for protecting Sheng Chumu. He tells her that her son has a bad reputation. He worries that he will ruin the family. Princess Han blames Sheng Chumu for making his father get angry. He points out that Emperor used Lu Yunji because he thought Sheng Xiaojing is old. Sheng Xiaojing is furious to take the spear to chase Sheng Chumu. Sheng Chumu has to flee.
Sheng Chumu gets into the carriage of Du Ning. He asks him where he wants to go. Du Ning tells Sheng Chumu that he wants to go to Guangzhou for the wedding of his younger male cousin. Sheng Chumu wants to go to Guangzhou with Du Ning because he’s tired of the beauties of Changan. Du Ning asks Sheng Chumu why he only knows beauty since his father was outstanding.
Sheng Chumu thinks Emperor wants him to enjoy the blessing since he gave the title of nobility to his father. Sheng Chumu asks Du Ning if his younger male cousin’s bride is pretty. Du Ning says that he doesn’t agree to go to Guangzhou with Sheng Chumu.
The maid spots the looks of Fu Rou. She thinks she’s the most beautiful bride in Guangzhou. Madam Chen welcomes Du Ning and invites him and Sheng Chumu into her house. Madam Fu tears up. Third Madam tells Fu You to care for her mom. She thinks she should cry because she only gave birth to her all her life.
Third Madam brags that she gave birth to a son and a daughter for Master. She thinks Fu Tao will accompany her if Fu Yin gets married. She thinks Fu Rou has a good blessing for being liked by Young Master Chen because she’s 19 years old. Third Madam puts the flower into Fu Rou’s hair. But Fu Rou takes it off because the flowers are enough.
Madam Chen tells Du Ning to help her because Fu family is very arrogant. She reveals her son wanted to marry Fu Rou after he saw her. She says that she thought it would be good if Fu family rejected her. But it was successful. She complains that the girl is a fox spirit. She adds that she wants to deal with Fu Rou after she gets into her family.
The big sister Fu Jun shows up. She reminds Fu Rou that the sedan of Chen family came. She tells her to listen to Madam Chen. Fu Rou agrees to it. Madam Chen is told that Fu Rou isn’t a virgin. She decides to cancel the wedding. Du Ning runs into Chen You. He notes that he’s drunk, and asks him about it. Chen You laughs and thinks he will get Fu Rou soon if he’s drunk. Sheng Chumu thinks it’s a good idea to cancel the wedding.
The lady tells Madam Shen to welcome Fu Rou. But Madam Shen wants to check Fu Rou’s body first before she gets into Chen family. Fu Rou agrees to it. She passes the test. She takes away the fan. Sheng Chumu sees her face and falls for her. She wants to bump the stone. But he hugs her. She pushes him over. A flower drops from her hair.
Fu Rou leaves with the maid Zi Yun. Sheng Chumu picks up the flower she left. Third Madam wishes Fu Rou not to return home all her life. But Fu Yin tells her mom that Fu Rou got back.
The woman matchmaker gets on knees to Madam Fu. She tells her that she was wronged. Madam Fu mentions Fu Rou almost took her life. The woman matchmaker confesses that the idea wasn’t given by her. Second Madam keeps crying. Fu Rou asks her mom if she wants to take a break. Second Madam wonders why Fu Rou isn’t anxious because she didn’t get into the husband’s family as a bride.
