Dream to You: Episode 2 Recap

Yi-Jae makes a zombie movie in Dream to You episode 2. She stops the filming. She tells him that he shouldn’t have taken a flashlight as a zombie. But he thinks horror movies are the same. She says it’s so old-fashioned. She notices his bloodstain. She asks Su-Bin why he rotated the fan. He mentions she told him to make it rotate.

Dream to You Episode 2

Su-Bin applies the blood on the zombie Jin-Soo’s arm. Jin-Soo thinks the blood is enough. He needs to go to study. Su-Bin reports it to Yi-Jae that he’s done with the makeup. But the girl tells Yi-Jae that the cat is missing. Yi-Jae says it’s fine. Because she just filmed the cat. She watches the movie she just filmed. She thinks something is missing. She hands over the camera to Su-Bin. She asks him to film the next scene. She asks him if he knows the feelings she wants. He nods.

Su-Bin holds the camera to film the zombies. Yi-Jae sprays powder at the zombies. He takes a look at her. He finds out that she enjoys it. He wonders what her world is like. What she likes and what she sees. The guard gets in the warehouse. He scolds the students.

In the hallway, the teacher punishes Yi-Jae and the students. She thinks she’s the root of the problem. She hits her head with the book. Yi-Jae tells the teacher that it hurts. The teacher says that she intended to hurt Yi-Jae. She asks Su-Bin if he doesn’t apply to medical school. Senior year of high school is a crucial time. Yi-Jae tells the teacher that she’s right. She says the filming is like exam to her. As long as she wins the grand prize, she can be accepted through special admissions. The teacher tells the students that it’s a school. She asks them not to do pointless things.

Yi-Jae and Su-Bin go to the market to film. Su-Bin buys his mother a snack. Yi-Jae tells Su-Bin that she doesn’t get along well with her mother. She takes him home. She shows him her little space. They watch the movie together. She laughs and she praises him. But he wants to be a movie director as well. He thinks his father can do nothing to him as long as he fails the exam.

She tells him that the path is very hard. If he has the idea after he took camera, he should give up. He says he thought about it for a long time. He really fell in love with movies. She was the one who let him find himself. The world in her eyes is warm and happy. She says the world is zombies. He laughs. He tells her that zombies are warm and happy in her world. His dream is to own a world just like hers. Su-Bin leaves. Yi-Jae edits the movie. She says the one who took her into the warm world was Su-Bin.

The next day at the school, the boy invites Su-Bin to have lunch with him. Su-Bin rejects it. The boy figures it out that Su-Bin is going to meet Yi-Jae. Su-Bin runs out of the school. He chases the bus. He asks the driver to stop the bus. But the driver drives the bus away. He stops the bus in the end.

At the film festival, Yi-Jae wins a grand prize. She gives a speech. She says that her mother just wanted her to be an ordinary person. But she doesn’t want to be an ordinary person. She only lives once, she wants to live a life well spent. She thinks people are more important than movies. She wants to learn to be a good person before she becomes a good movie director. She will be a director with a human touch.

The female host thinks Yi-Jae’s speech is great. But she asks Yi-Jae where her family is. Yi-Jae says that she came to take the prize on her own. Su-Bin shows up in the hall with a bouquet of flowers. He congratulates Yi-Jae. He walks to the stage. He hands over the flowers to her.

On the beach, Yi-Jae tells a secret to Su-Bin that she wanted to be an director for the prize. She won Essay Contest Award for the first time when she was in sixth grade. She cannot forget gaze of her teacher and students. She thinks it was the starting point of her dream. She thanks him for helping her win the prize. But he asks her why it’s a secret. She says her dream is so big, but her starting point is too small. He tells her that all great things start with small ones. He has the same dream because he likes her.

She offers to make a movie together. She asks him to think about it that their names appear in the end credits. They can do great things together. He agrees. He runs to her, and he carries her when she screams.

In the evening, Su-Bin returns home. He sees his father Cheol-Gyu slapping his follower. Cheol-Gyu tells Su-Bin that he doesn’t allow any defects in the family. No matter things or plants. Even humans are the same. He takes a handkerchief to wipe his face. He asks him if he gets it.

Yi-Jae is happy to return home. But her mother Hyun-Ok sells her videotapes for free. Yi-Jae is furious to yell at her mother. She mentions what she said that she didn’t allow to throw it away. Hyun-Ok says the noodles restaurant shouldn’t be placed the things of little value. She asks Yi-Jae if she wants to trade it for some candy. Yi-Jae claims that those things are her assets. But it’s debt to her mother.

Yi-Jae tells her mother that she won one million won. Hyun-Ok asks Yi-Jae to take it to subsidize her father’s gas expenses. She wants to place a table at the restaurant. She asks her to give the money to her. Yi-Jae points out that there’s no guests everyday. So the tables aren’t helpful. She complains it to her mother that she talks bad everyday. She doesn’t ask money from her, and she doesn’t want to go to study overseas. She doesn’t long for that she will be like others. She asks her not to care for her. Hyun-Ok gives in. She decides to put the videotapes into Yi-Jae’s room. She kicks the videotapes.

Su-Bin walks on the street. He sees Yi-Jae. He calls her. She wipes off her tears. He runs to her, and he crouches down. He asks her if she cried. He guesses something happened. She tells a lie to him that she’s fine. She wants to be a master. So she needs to experience the trial. She asks him why he came there. He laughs. He says it was telepathy. She asks him if he knows the story of Fox and Sour Grape. Fox wants to eat the grape on the branch. But he finds a lot of ways, and he cannot touch it. He says it’s sour grape. He doesn’t want to eat it. He gives up and walks away.

Su-Bin asks Yi-Jae if Fox actually walked away. She says it’s not the point. She tells him that he cannot be saved. He thinks it was sour grape. She says the point is that she ate it. If it’s not delicious, she can spit it out. It’s very different that the people who ate it, and the people who didn’t eat it. She tells him that she can make it as long as she promises it. She won’t regret even if her neck is broken. He asks her not to break her neck. He asks her to call him at that time.

No matter where she is, he will go to look for her. He asks her to step on his back and climb up. He’s honest. He wants to pay everything for her. After all, his world was created by her.

Su-Bin makes a movie. He and Yi-Jae watch it together. She tears up. She offers to write a romance movie together. She asks him if he knows what’s important being a director. She says good writing skills are basic requirements. What matters most is how a director sees the world. She tells him that he passed. She asks him if he wants to have a kiss. First love and first kiss. It’s suitable for the scene.

She’s ready for his kiss. But he doesn’t kiss her. He thinks she shouldn’t have said such words. She says she’s very nervous. He promises her that he will kiss her after they’re accepted into the film school. But she cannot hold out until then. He explains it to her that he worries that he cannot endure it if he kisses her. He says he needs to endure a lot of things as a high school senior.

The next day by the lake, Yi-Jae asks Su-Bin if he fell in love with her at first sight. The next day, they have a fight. But they make up soon.

At present, Yi-Jae goes to the Vineyard. The farmer teaches her how to pick grapes. She does a good job. Su-Bin shows up with a bouquet of flowers. He walks to her, and he introduces himself to her. She’s furious to ask PD Kyung what happened. He tells her that it’s guest show. Su-Bin can tell that Yi-Jae doesn’t like his flowers. She asks PD Kyung when they got guests. He says starting today. She thinks they should have interviewed the guest before they filmed.

Su-Bin comforts Yi-Jae that he will leave after he picks grapes. She asks him if he wants to be a farmer. He says it depends on her. PD Kyung joins the two. He asks them to greet each other. But Yi-Jae walks away. PD Kyung explains it to Su-Bin that the beauty has a lot of things to do. He grabs the flowers. He says he likes it.

Su-Bin is surrounded by the girls. Yi-Jae watches it. She shakes her head. Writer Song complains it to Yi-Jae that it’s too much even if they invited the guest. Yi-Jae tells Writer Song that the guy will leave after he picks grapes. Writer Song asks Yi-Jae if she knows the director. She mentions she likes to watch movies. Yi-Jae says she doesn’t know the guy. But Writer Song searched the guy. All his news are talking about his first love. She offers to look into it from the side.

Handsome director’s love story. She thinks people will believe it if she says he’s an actor. Yi-Jae tells Writer Song that they don’t have to ask the guy about his first love since the question was asked by a lot people. It promotes Writer Song to suspect Yi-Jae knows the guy. Su-Bin takes a photo with the girls. The girls leave.

Yi-Jae and Su-Bin walk in the vineyard. He asks her to take care of him. She tells him that he was the first guest who ran there without an interview. She asks him to answer the questions well. After all, he’s good at answering questions. He tells her that he gave the flowers to PD Kyung. He asks her not to forget to take it.

She asks him why he came to the show. He’s close to her. He tells her that he came to see her. She thinks he planned it secretly. He explains it to her that he knew the Secondhand Market because he heard the talk of her and Yu-Goen. He tells her that she can ask her about his first love. He decides to make it public. She gets angry. He says he was kidding. He can tell she’s very nervous. She has bitten her lips. It’s the habit when she’s nervous. He tells her that she will bleed.

Yi-Jae begins her performance. Su-Bin thinks it’s a bit of a shame that he enjoys it all by himself. He runs into the scene. She asks him what his movie “Wondering” means to him. He says it’s of great significance. It’s also the movie that gave him the second chance. So it’s even more precious. He’s just a nobody. Who would be interested in him. He needs to be a director first so that he can film the stories he wants to film. “Wondering” was born through his careful planning. He asks her if it sounds annoying. She denies it. She thinks it’s a very practical consideration.

Movie is a very romantic world when it’s watched from a distance. He says he’s preparing for his next movie. So he came back to Korea. The name of the movie is “Love Song of the Capital”. The grapes fall on the ground after Yi-Jae knew it.

The next day outside Topline Entertainment, Director Kang mistakes Yu-Goen for a takeout man. Yu-Goen denies it. He hands over his resume to Director Kang. He learns that the team leader is working at the company. He asks Director Kang if he doesn’t remember him. Director Kang asks Yu-Goen if he was the actor who worked in Team Three. He tells him that he’s not team leader anymore. He’s a director. He notices that he maintains a good shape. He guesses he’s 33 years old.

Yu-Goen tells Director Kang that he joined the army after he left the company. But Director Kang mentions the CEO ruined the company. He thinks Yu-Goen is very kind. He tells him that it’s the reason why he cannot make it. He suggests that he should go to look for another job. He tells him that he says so because he worries about him. After all, they stayed at the same company. Ha-Na watches it on the second floor. Yu-Goen leaves.

Su-Hee talks with someone over the phone. She tells him that Ha-Na wants to star it. Ha-Na wonders which movie she wants to star. She mentions she never chose a movie on her own. Su-Hee refuses to give the meal to Ha-Na. Because Ha-Na needs to wear a formal dress. She tells her that she put a lot of thought into postponing the scene.

Ha-Na thinks she just needs to change a dress. She says she wants to take a break after she films the movie. She asks her mother not to take any script. Su-Hee asks Ha-Na if she thinks she doesn’t need to do anything, the scripts will visit her. The lifespan of an actress is very short. The day will come that nobody visits Ha-Na. So Ha-Na shouldn’t plan to take a break. Ha-Na asks her mother when she can take a break. She wonders if she needs to wait until she gets marry and has a baby like her mother.

Su-Hee admits it. She asks Ha-Na to use the child to go back to Entertainment Industry like her. She thinks she should be proud. She tells Director Kang that Ha-Na is the Progenitor of Parenting Variety Shows in Korea. She thinks Ha-Na shouldn’t forget the point that she relied on her popularity. Ha-Na tells Director Kang that she needs to go to Styling Studio. He says he has some time. He wants to finish the meal. But she orders him to leave with her.

At the movie press conference, Ha-Na and Sang-Yeon promote the movie together. The reporter brings up that Ha-Na’s mother is an actress as well. He asks Ha-Na if her mother gave her some advice. She says her mother did it. Another female reporter asks Sang-Yeon about the chemistry when he played a couple with Ha-Na. He brings up that Ha-Na is single since birth. She knew nothing. She talks back that she didn’t say she was single since birth. He mentions she has debuted for over twenty years, but she didn’t have a rumor. He guesses she’s single since birth. He asks her if he’s right. She laughs. She asks him if he likes her.

At the parking lot, Sang-Yeon complains it to his manager that Ha-Na has a bad temper, and nobody will like her. He thinks it’s too much that he was scheduled to appear after her. The manager tells Sang-Yeon that he’s a gentleman. But Sang-Yeon says it hurt his pride. He wonders if Ha-Na earns more than he does. He tells the manager that Ha-Na is just a nobody without her mother. She actually acted like a senior. He thinks she’s a mother’s girl.

Ha-Na shows up. She talks with her mother over the phone. She reports it to her that Sang-Yeon called her a mother’s girl. She asks her to give the guy a lesson. Sang-Yeon laughs. He tries to explain it to Su-Hee. But Ha-Na shows him the phone that she didn’t call her mother. He yells at her. He asks her if she’s insane. She says yes. She thinks he should know how crazy she is since he’s afraid of her mother very much. She walks away. Sang-Yeon gets angry. He wants to beat Ha-Na. The manager stops him.

Su-Bin and Yi-Jae sit in the truck. The camera films them. He asks her if she knows the story of Fox and Sour Grape. He tells her that Fox hypnotizes himself that the grape isn’t good. She thinks it would be sour grape. He says it’s a shame that Fox won’t know it all his life. She tells him that it’s a shame to waste time on grapes. He says it’s not a shame if the fox eats it. She heard that the fox tried to climb up the tree. He even used a ladder. But he couldn’t get it. His hand was hurt when he climbed. His leg was hurt when he jumped. His ladder was kicked over by someone.

Yi-Jae asks Su-Bin if the fox doesn’t give up. He persuades her to step on the friend’s back and climb up. So she can eat it. She points out that it will be stolen by the friend. He asks her if she thinks he stole it. She grabs his collar. She asks him if he’s crazy. It will be recorded all.

PD Kyung uses the radio to contact Yi-Jae. He asks her why she grabbed Su-Bin’s collar suddenly. She quickly rips off Su-Bin’s button. She reports it to the PD that the director’s button fell. The skirt has been lifted by the wind. She was scared.

PD Kyung asks Su-Bin if he’s fine. Su-Bin says he did nothing, but the button dropped. He wonders if fall is coming soon. Yi-Jae can tell the director was startled as well. He keeps talking nonsense. PD Kyung asks Yi-Jae to get off the truck and fix the button for the director.

In the evening, Yi-Jae sews a button back on for Su-Bin in a greenhouse. She tells him that she sells her script for 30 million won. After all, he cannot film it without her permission. But he wants to complete the story with her. So it’s meaningless if she doesn’t take part in it. It’s just some old papers. She asks him to burn it. She doesn’t mind it at all. He mentions what she said that he stole it. He doesn’t plan to let their relationship end there. So he won’t give up.

He says he will return the dream he stole to her. If she wants it, he can return the first love to her as well. He tries to kiss her. He reminds her that they’re not in their senior year of high school. They don’t have to endure it. She avoids his kiss, and she pushes him away. She grabs the flowers, and she uses the flowers to hit him. She tells him that he’s a bad guy. She leaves the greenhouse.

It flashes back. Yi-Jae knocks at the gate of Su-Bin’s house. She’s anxious to call the guy. She waits outside his house. In the evening, it’s very cold. She rubs hands to warm up herself. The next day, she claims that she’s going to leave. But she kicks the gate. In the evening, she notices the light in his room is on.

The next day, it’s raining. She makes the decision to leave. But he chases her with an umbrella. She turns around and she sees him. She hugs him. She feels relieved. She asks him why he didn’t come to the school, and why he didn’t pick up her phone. She reminds him that they have an exam tomorrow. He tells her that he won’t go to take the exam. He asks her to go to take it on her own. He says he came to tell it to her.

She asks him for the reason. He reveals he’s going to go to the United States. He mentions what he said that he wanted to be a doctor. She points out that he doesn’t want to be a doctor. But he says it’s not important. He asks her to leave. But she blocks his way. She throws away the umbrella. She takes out the script. She shows it to him. She says she wrote so much, but she didn’t write the ending. She asks him where he’s going. She reminds him that being a director is his dream.

He says it’s just a fleeting dream. He won’t be a director. She cries to tell him that he lied. She knows it’s not his true feelings. She hits him with the script. She gives the script to him. She asks him if he knows what it means. She lets him make the decision. She will wait for him. She runs away.

In the evening, Yi-Jae runs out of the bus station. Her hairband drops. She goes to pick up the hairband. But she’s hit by a car. She lies on the road. She grabs the hairband tightly. Her head is bleeding. Yi-Jae is taken to the hospital. Hyun-Ok cries outside the Operating Room. Yi-Jae’s father shows up. Hyun-Ok hits her husband. She asks him why their daughter doesn’t come out.

Yi-Jae lies in the ward. She’s still in a coma. Hyun-Ok takes care of her daughter. She leaves. In the evening, Yi-Jae wakes up. Hyun-Ok and Young-Jae run into the ward. Yi-Jae is told that her father is dead. The next day, Yi-Jae trains her leg. She returns home. She cries. She regrets it.

At present, Su-Bin returns to his house. He remembers Yi-Jae resisted him when he tried to kiss her. He thinks he was very stupid. Young-Jae watches the TV at home. He takes Hyun-Ok to watch his sister’s show. He discovers that the guy is Su-Bin. Su-Hee sees the show as well.

Yi-Jae eats with Yu-Goen at a restaurant. He thinks it’s weird that she doesn’t want to do it. She says she doesn’t have to do it. He mentions she wanted to pursue her dream. He thinks she just spent more time than others. She says she’s aged. She gives up the dream. He asks her if she thinks so when she looks at him. She tells him that his situation isn’t like hers. His dream is in progress, but her dream was a long time ago. After all, his father might help him. He’s much better than her in every way.

He thinks it’s all excuses. He asks her if she thinks he doesn’t have to worry about making a living so that he keeps doing such a thing. She apologizes to him. She says she only cared for her situation, and she said something wrong. He tells her that she’s crazy if she misses the chance. He thinks Su-Bin will return the chance to her since she missed the chance because of the guy. He mentions she didn’t take the exam, and she went to look for the guy. He asks her if she doesn’t think those years were a shame. He persuades her to cherish herself. She shouldn’t think she’s in a pretty desperate situation herself. He goes to earn money.

The next day at the network, Sa-Rang meets Yi-Jae after she took a bath. She mentions Su-Bin was Yi-Jae’s first love. She asks her if the guy told her that he missed her. Yi-Jae goes to the cafe. PD Kyung is waiting for her. She grabs a chicken leg. She eats it. He figures it out that she knows the director. It makes her cough. She denies it and she drives the beer. He tells her that he’s not a fool. He mentions he locked her and the director in the Editing Room for several hours.

She admits it to him that she and the guy were classmates. But they weren’t close. He asks her to go to invite the guy to their show again. She rejects it. He mentions their show is hot because of the guy. He worries that other stations took away the guy. He thinks he will give the achievements to others. She doesn’t care for it. She says they can do a lot of topics in the season. She asks him if they will keep praising the director. She decides to eat it up quickly so that she can go to attend the meeting. But he says CP will give them Independent Time Slot if they do a good job this time. It’s a good chance.

Yi-Jae is on the bus. She remembers PD Kyung asked her not to come back if she couldn’t invite Su-Bin. He heard that the guy was living in Busan. She takes a look at the flowers she prepared. She arrives at Su-Bin’s house. She tries to leave. But she goes back to open the gate. She gets in the house. Su-Bin waters her when he looks at her.
