In the 7-8th episodes of Ever Night Chinese Drama Recap, Ning Que and Zhao Xiaoshu defeat the enemies in Yan Se’s help. Emperor Tang admits to ministers that he is the boss of fish and dragon sect. Li Yu wants to utilize but he is tried of fight.
Ever Night Chinese Drama Recap: Episode 7

Ning Que tries his hard to protect Zhao Xiaoshu’s body, but he is tried. Zhao Xiaoshu’s mind returns, and he defeats the bodyguards. They prepare to leave, but the carriage shows up, and Zhao Xiaoshu falls. Ning Qu shoots the carriage, but the arrows return. He rushes to it with his blade, and Zhao Xiaoshu waves his sword as well. But Ning Qu is flown away.
Wang Jinglue gets off, Zhao Xiaoshu knows he is a magician. Zhao Xiaoshu asks Ning Que to leave, but Ning Que rushes to Wang Jinglue. Wang Jinglue makes Ning Que fly away with just a finger, and mocks at him that he is just a human and no qualification in his hands. Zhao Xiaoshu accumulates his gas to turn into a sword flash to stab at Wang Jinglue. Wang Jinglue uses his gas against him.

Just then a white spell appears, and Yan Se fixes Wang Jinglue to the wall. The white spell disappear, and Yan Se takes Wang Jinglue away. Ning Que recognizes Yan Se is the one who exchanged sugar fruit with his text, and thinks he is Zhao Xiaoshu’s last card. Hua Shanyue takes people to save Chang Siwei and other guys. Yan Se scolds Wang Jinglue, and sends him to General Xu Shi. He claims it’s order of the master in the court.
Wang Jinglue realizes Zhao Xiaoshu’s boss is Emperor Tang. Chang Siwei takes people to block Cui Delu’s way, and Cui Delu is wounded while fighting. Hua Shanyue arrives to surround him. Cui Delu thinks people of tang are stupid, and admits he provoked Li Peiyan. Then he commits suicide.
Chong Ming is furious that Zhao Xiaoshu’s boss is Emperor Tang, and remembers Yan Kingdom was defeated by Tang Empire. Long Qing was saved, but Chong Ming became hostage. He decides to mess up academy since it protects Tang Empire. Emperor Tang takes people to visit Li Peiyan, and Li Peiyan knows his plan failed. Li Peiyan remembers he won Li Zhongyi and got the sword of emperor. But Fu Zi chose Li Zhongyi as Emperor Tang.

Emperor Tang says the sword of emperor was just a useless sword, but Li Peiyan wanted to get it. So Fu Zi thought he would not a good emperor. Zhao Xiaoshu and Ning Que return home, and Sang Sang cooked noodles for them. Zhao Xiaoshu finds the egg in Ning Que’s bowl, so Ning Que asks Sang Sang to add an egg to Zhao Xiaoshu’s bowl as well. Zhao Xiaoshu says that his boss is most powerful person in Tang Empire, and regrets for didn’t protect Zhuo Er.
Ning Que guesses what Zhao Xiaoshu talks about is Emperor Tang. Zhao Xiaoshu promises Ning Que $2,000, and wants to take him to see someone. Long Qing stands at hilltop, and sees the dark clouds. He thinks ever night is coming. The next day, Zhao Xiaoshu gives some new clothes to Ning Que, and takes him to the gate of court. Ning Que sneaks into and thinks the texts on the table is too ugly. Then he sits the chair of dragon.
Emperor Tang scolds the ministers and lets Wang Jinglue serve for General Xushi. He forgives Li Peiyan because he only has such a brother. Li Peiyan is moved. Ning Que writes the texts, and compares it to emperor’s texts. The commander of bodyguards, Xu Chongshan thinks Ning Que is too rude, and draws him away. He warns Ning Que not to tell others that he visited emperor’s study, and abused Zhao Xiaoshu for didn’t tell Ning Que the rule of court.
Xu Chongshan asks Ning Que who is the boss of fish and dragon sect, and Ning Que points to sky. Emperor Tang announces he is the boss of fish and dragon sect. Li Peiyan is shocked.
Ever Night Chinese Drama Recap: Episode 8
Xu Chongshan asks Ning Que if he really wants to work for Zhao Xiaoshu. Ning Que says he will work, but he won’t risk his life. Xu Chongshan informs Ning Que that he is dark bodyguard now, and tells him to wear the robe of office when he dies. Emperor Tang thinks ministers are too stupid because nobody dares to use “dragon” except him. The ministers are on knees to beg for mercy.
Emperor Tang adds that he asked Zhao Xiaoshu to set up fish and dragon sect is to gather information. But the ministers exposed him for a little money, and used names of empress and princess. Xia Tian and Li Yu actually knew the sect and emperor’s relationship.
Xu Chongshan introduces the duty of dark bodyguard to Ning Que, and doesn’t allow him to see emperor alone. He sends him to home and asks him to take off the robe of office. Li Peiyan doesn’t want to accept his failure and begins new revenge. Zhao Xiaoshu watches fish to break his realm to knowing fate. Li Yu sees the process and congratulates him.
She asks him about Ning Que, but he thinks Ning Que can protect himself well. She claims Ning Que belongs to her, and wants Zhao Xiaoshu to help Hun Yun get the throne. But Zhao Xiaoshu wants to stay away from the fight, and goes to visit Emperor Tang.
Emperor Tang thrills to see Zhao Xiaoshu, but he is furious since Zhao Xiaoshu wants to leave fish and dragon sect. He scolds him but Zhao Xiaoshu made the decision. He has to drive him away with temper, but doesn’t want to give up him when gazing at his receding figure. Ning Que gives the token of bodyguard to Sang Sang, but she is only interested in his salary, and shows the $2,000 to him.
Zhao Xiaoshu is freedom on the end and steps out of court. The guys of fish and dragon sect are waiting for him. He announces his realm is knowing fate now. Ning Que buries Zhuo Er and swears to take revenge. He ties the rope around the gravestone.
Zhao Xiaoshu takes Chang Siwei and Qi Si to say goodbye to Ning Que, and claims he can visit them if he needs help. Sang Sang cooks the noodle and adds an egg, but Zhao Xiaoshu is away.
Emperor sighs for Zhao Xiaoshu’s leaving. Yan Se thinks Zhao Xiaoshu is going to challenge the swordmaster Liu Bai since he broke knowing fate realm. Emperor Tang worries about Zhao Xiaoshu, and thinks he just asked for death. He Mingchi sends the message to Luo Kedi and asks him to catch the chance to get rid of Zhao Xiaoshu.
Sang Sang reminds Ning Que to study since the examination is in a few days. Long Qing returns west palace and knows Luo Kedi punished Zi Mo for losing the map of devil sect. He is good at memory and draws the map. Luo Kedi has to release Zi Mo, and Long Qing pasts the test.
Li Yu suggests Emperor Tang to send Hun Yuan to academy getting Fu Si’s teaching. So Emperor Tang wants to take Li Yu and Hun Yuan to the examination. He Mingchi is the spy of west palace, and he asks Chong Ming to cancel his plan. But Chong Ming thinks He Mingchi forgot his mission since staying with Li Qingshan. He wants to kill Emperor Tang at the examination.
The next day, Sang Sang packs Ning Que’s stuff and asks him to go to the examination. Li Yu tells Hun Yuan that ministers will treat him different if he can pass the examination. He promises her since he wants to win the sixth prince. Emperor Tang is going to go to set out, but his follower reports to him that the sixth prince is sick. So he goes to see his son. Chong Ming smears poison on the arrows, and swears to kill Emperor Tang with his followers.
