Ling Buyi reveals Emperor asked him not to look into the weapon case. But he wants to continue to look into the case. Ling Buyi passes by the palace of Chengyang Marquis. Liang Qiuqi tells Ling Buyi to visit Chengyang Marquis. He worries that people will badmouth Ling Buyi. But Ling Buyi doesn’t care for the crime.
Madam Ge tells Madam Cheng not to get angry. She worries about her health. She tells her that she didn’t expect that Cheng Shaoshang would find Uncle. She blames the girl for taking revenge for them. Madam Cheng scolds Madam Ge. She thinks she’s useless.

Xiao Yuanyi mentions the law that the one’s families will get punished as well if she helps the criminal hide. She thinks Madam Ge would get Madam Cheng involved if she did so. Cheng Shi agrees to what his wife said. He thinks Cheng Shaoshang didn’t do anything wrong.
But Madam Ge thinks the families shouldn’t betray each other. She offers to save Uncle because she doesn’t want Madam Cheng to lose her brother. Cheng Shi claims that he doesn’t have the power to save Uncle. Madam Cheng cries to beg Cheng Shi to save his uncle.
Madam Cheng thinks Cheng Shi only cares for his wife. She mentions he gave money to Xiao Yuanyi’s brother, letting him take class. Cheng Shi claims that Xiao Yuanyi had the right to use the money because she worked hard with him in the battlefield. Xiao Yuanyi asks Madam Ge if she blamed Madam Cheng for giving money to her brother. Madam Ge explains to Madam Cheng what she meant wasn’t that. Madam Cheng thinks her families are bad persons. She tells them to get lost.
Madam Ge walks out of Madam Cheng’s room. She tells Cheng Shi and Xiao Yuanyi to live in the side house with Cheng Shaoshang. Xiao Yuanyi agrees to Madam Ge’s arrangement. She walks away. Madam Ge gets angry when she sees Xiao Yuanyi off. She thinks she pretended to be kind.
Cheng Shi goes to see Cheng Shaoshang. He feels sorry after he saw her pale lips. Qing Cong reports to Xiao Yuanyi that Lian Fang came. Xiao Yuanyi walks out of Cheng Shaoshang’s room. She asks Lian Fang why Madam Ge sent Cheng Shaoshang to the village.
Lian Fang reveals Madam Ge’s nephew Yao Ge was bitten by the bee when the lid of the gourd opened. Xiao Yuanyi points out that the ten years old kid cannot open the lid. She tells Cheng Shi that Cheng Shaoshang passed out because she ate too much.
Lian Fang cries to tell Xiao Yuanyi that Cheng Shaoshang did it because she hadn’t eaten anything. Cheng Shi thinks Cheng Shaoshang lived like a refugee. He tells Lian Fang to leave. Qing Cong doesn’t expect that Madam Ge hurt Cheng Shaoshang even if Xiao Yuanyi left the person she trusted.
Xiao Yuanyi swears not to let it happen again. She thinks Cheng Shaoshang passed out in the right time, making them find Madam Cheng’s mistake. Cheng Shaoshang hears what her mom said. She thinks her mom was so smart to see her trick. She wonders why she ignored what Madam Ge did to her.
Qing Cong mentions Xiao Yuanyi intended to tell Madam Cheng that they will be late. She adds that they found their mistake. She believes that Cheng Shi won’t obey Madam Cheng. Xiao Yuanyi leaks that she wants to see if her husband is going to help her deal with her mother-in-law or not. Cheng Shaoshang learns that Xiao Yuanyi used her to deal with Madam Cheng. She thinks the only one who can save her is herself.
The follower brings the package to Ling Buyi. He leaks that it was given by Cheng Shaoshang. Ling Buyi opens the package. He thinks Cheng families are filial. Liang Qiuqi hands over the paper to Ling Buyi. He believes that Mr. Dong invested the nation’s money in the cloth shop.
Liang Qiuqi asks Ling Buyi if Cheng Shaoshang gave them the cloth for telling them the truth. He believes that the girl wants them to help her run away. Ling Buyi takes a look at the cloth which Cheng Shaoshang gave him. He thinks she had a plan.
Lian Fang tells Cheng Shaoshang to drink the medicine soup. But Cheng Shaoshang asks Lian Fang to drink the medicine soup for her. She notes that someone came. She lies in the bed. Cheng Shi walks into the room. He takes a look at Cheng Shaoshang. He wonders why she’s still sick.
Cheng Shaoshang gets up. She begins to cough. Xiao Yuanyi tells Cheng Shaoshang to drink up the medicine soup. Cheng Shaoshang takes over the medicine soup from Lian Fang. She tastes it. Cheng Shi notes that his daughter is tearing up.
Cheng Shaoshang takes a look at Xiao Yuanyi. She tells her that the medicine soup is too bitter. Cheng Shi intends to add some sugar into the medicine soup. Xiao Yuanyi is against it. She reminds Cheng Shaoshang that she needs to drink the medicine soup each day if she’s sick.
Cheng Shi agrees to what his wife said. He tells Cheng Shaoshang to drink up the soup. She promises to take her to ride horse. He thinks his daughter is the most beautiful girl. But Xiao Yuanyi thinks moral is more important to a girl.
Cheng Shaoshang tries to drink the medicine soup but Madam Cheng cries outside. Xiao Yuanyi goes to see Madam Cheng. Cheng Shi tells Cheng Shaoshang not to eat the medicine soup because he wants to add some sugar into it. He walks away.
Cheng Shaoshang walks out of her room with Lian Fang. She finds out that Madam Cheng is crying in the yard. She thinks Madam Cheng is good at acting. Madam Cheng tries to jump into the well after she saw Cheng Shi. Madam Ge stops Madam Cheng.
Does Madam Cheng Kill herself?
Madam Cheng blames Madam Ge for using too much power. She asks her if she actually wanted to kill her. Cheng Shi points out that Madam Cheng couldn’t jump into the well because the hole is too small. She thinks he’s a bad son. Cheng Shaoshang laughs when she watches it.
Madam Cheng learns that the hole of the well is too small for her. She decides to hit wall with her head. She tells Madam Ge to drag her. But her sleeve is torn up and her head hits the wall. She’s hurt. Madam Cheng blames Madam Ge to drag her sleeve instead of her arm.
Madam Ge explains that she didn’t expect that Madam Cheng would use so much power. She reminds her that Cheng Shi is staring at them. Lian Fang wonders if Cheng Shi will get fooled by his mom. Cheng Shaoshang denies it. Cheng Shi cries like what his mom does.
Cheng Shi gets on knees to Madam Cheng. He feels guilty for not saving his uncle. Xiao Yuanyi wipes the tears for his husband when she cries as well. Madam Ge thinks Cheng Shi is giving his mom a hard time. She tells him to go to save Mr. Dong first.
Xiao Yuanyi points out that Cheng Shi only wants to get on knees to his mom. She asks Madam Ge if she wants to get the honor as well. Madam Cheng tells Madam Ge to get lost. Cheng Shaoshang thinks Cheng Shi is actually Madam Cheng’s son who’s good at acting.
Madam Cheng tells Cheng Shi that Mr. Dong was corruption because he had been poor. He offers to carry all of his money to Mr. Dong’s house. Madam Dong agrees to it. Madam Cheng stares at Madam Dong. Madam Dong cries. She tells Cheng Shi that he saves his mom if he saves Mr. Dong.
Cheng Shi complains that he doesn’t dare to beg Ling Buyi because he almost arrested him if he didn’t help the nation. Madam Ge is furious to stand up. She tells his son that she’s going to report to Emperor that he was against her.
But Xiao Yuanyi points out that Emperor will kill Cheng Shi if Madam Cheng goes to report him. Cheng Shi tells Madam Cheng to do it. He tells her that he doesn’t fear it. It makes her cry. Xiao Yuanyi turns around. She sees Cheng Shaoshang.
Xiao Yuanyi walks to Cheng Shaoshang. She asks her if she watches the show enough. Cheng Shaoshang denies it. She turns around and sees her mom. She begins to cough. Xiao Yuanyi wonders why Cheng Shaoshang didn’t lie in the bed since she’s sick.

Xiao Yuanyi tells Cheng Shi that Cheng Shaoshang changed the path of the chimney because she knew Madam Cheng trusts God. He thinks his daughter is very smart. Xiao Yuanyi blames her husband for taking Cheng Shaoshang’s side. She claims that she would punish Cheng Shaoshang if she’s one of her soldiers.
