But Ling Buyi allows Mr. Dong to go to see his families. Because they wouldn’t catch Mr. Dong if Cheng Shaoshang didn’t help them. Liang Qiufei wonders why Ling Buyi is nice to the beauty. He promises to release Mr. Dong. Cheng Shaoshang takes a look at the silver hairpin.
Qing Cong tells Cheng Shaoshang that Xiao Yuanyi left many good things to her besides the silver hairpin. Xiao Yuanyi shows up with the books. She tells Cheng Shaoshang to pick one of the books to read. She finds out that she only knows a few words.

Cheng Shi blames Madam Ge for not teaching Cheng Shaoshang more words. He comforts his daughter that Xiao Yuanyi will teach her. Cheng Shaoshang thinks she shouldn’t blame Madam Ge. She adds that she’s like her father. Xiao Yuanyi glares at her husband. She tells Cheng Shaoshang to begin to study.
But Sheng Shi is against it. He reminds his wife that Dong families are going to come. Cheng Shaoshang gets changed and walks into the hall. The elders are waiting for her. Madam Ge scolds Cheng Shaoshang for dressing up when the elders were waiting for her. She asks her what she taught to her.
Cheng Shaoshang mentions what Madam Ge said that she doesn’t have to see Dong families. Madam Cheng scolds Madam Ge. She points out that they’re older than her. She adds that they didn’t scold Cheng Shaoshang. Cheng Yang shows up. She greets the elders.
Madam Ge blames Cheng Yang for her late as well. Cheng Yang explains that her teacher gave her many assignments. Madam Ge tells the elders that Cheng Yang isn’t like Cheng Shaoshang who doesn’t like to study. Cheng Shaoshang reports to her parents that Madam Ge told her to only know the name of her husband.
Madam Cheng tells Madam Ge not to scold Cheng Shaoshang. She thinks Cheng Shaoshang will be exiled like her brother if she doesn’t study. She hears Mr. Dong’s crying. She walks out of the house. Cheng Shaoshang tells Cheng Yang to watch the drama with her.
Madam Cheng hugs Mr. Dong when she cries. She tells him to take care of himself well. She asks him not to do any stupid thing. She tells him not to let his families come because Cheng Shi is going to get promoted. He cries because he thinks his sister gave up him.
Madam Cheng accompanies Mr. Dong to cry. He yells at her that she lived better than him. She’s furious to stand up. She reminds him that she lived well because of her son Cheng Shi. She adds that they belong to different families. Mr. Dong looks around. He sees Cheng Shaoshang.
Mr. Dong tries to attack Cheng Shaoshang. But Cheng Shi trips over Mr. Dong. Cheng Shi reminds Mr. Dong that it’s Cheng family. Mr. Dong thinks Cheng Shaoshang is like Cheng Shi who’s heartless. He leaks that Madam Cheng intended to give up Cheng Shaoshang because she thought she will be like Xiao Yuanyi.
Madam Cheng beats Mr. Dong. She tells him not to wrong her. Madam Ge thinks Mr. Dong is talking nonsense. She wishes someone to take him away. Mr. Dong leaks that Madam Ge intended to raise Cheng Shaoshang to be a useless girl.
Mr. Dong asks Cheng Shaoshang if she knows why Madam Ge didn’t allow her to study. He leaks that all of Cheng Shaoshang’s money goes to Madam Ge’s pocket. Madam Cheng beats Mr. Dong. She thinks her families cannot live if he continues to stay there. He’s taken away by the bodyguards. Ling Buyi watches the show. She thinks Xu Jinzhong is hiding in the iron shop.
Madam Cheng drinks up the water. She takes a look at Cheng Shi. She blames Madam Ge for investing Cheng Shi’s money in Ge family’s cloth store. Cheng Shi reports to Madam Cheng that Cheng Zhi will come back. He wants to catch the chance to gather the families.
Why Madam Cheng Asks Madam Ge to Return the Master House to Xiao Yuanyi?
Madam Cheng feels happy. She tells Madam Ge to prepare the rooms. Madam Ge intends to give Cheng Shaoshang’s study to her brothers to love. She thinks Cheng Shaoshang won’t mind it. Cheng Shaoshang mentions what Xiao Yuanyi told her to study day and night.
Madam Cheng thinks any place can be the studying place. Xiao Yuanyi agrees to what Madam Ge said. She tells Qing Cong not to let Cheng Shaoshang eat if she doesn’t finish memorizing the book. Madam Cheng decides to clean up the study since Xiao Yuanyi isn’t against it.
Madam Cheng tells Madam Ge to give the master house to Xuan Yuanyi because she cares for her grandsons very much. Madam Ge rejects it. She claims that the master house cannot be lived. Madam Cheng tells Madam Ge to fix the master house. She laughs.
Madam Ge scolds her husband Cheng Cheng. She thinks she got married with a useless man. She blames him for letting her deal with his families. She throws the book into the fire. He tries to stop her. But he trips. Cheng Yang helps her father take back the book from the fire.
Cheng Cheng thinks he should return the master house to Cheng Shi because Cheng Shi is the elder brother. Madam Ge scolds her husband. Cheng Shaoshang refuses to continue to study because she’s hungry. Xiao Yuanyi tells Cheng Shaoshang that the hunger will help her study.
Cheng Shi brings the pastries to Cheng Shaoshang. He tells her to eat. But Xiao Yuanyi tells Cheng Shaoshang that she needs to study more when she tries to take the pastries. Cheng Shi tells his wife to be nice to Cheng Shaoshang because his daughter suffered a lot.

Madam Ge feels happy after knowing they’re going to move in the new house. But Cheng Shi tells Madam Ge not to move in the new house. He mentions she swore to live in the master house all her life if she cannot have a boy. He adds that her husband will move in the new house as well.
