Cheng Shaoshang tells Ling Buyi that the one was wrong to ruin his mom’s life. He mentions everyone thinks he’s a bad son. She tells him that she thinks he’s not a heartless person. She thinks the uncle will take care of his mom. He leaks that the uncle is the general Cui You.
Ling Buyi tells Cheng Shaoshang that Cui You has had feelings for his mom since childhood. He adds that Cui You swore not to get married after his wife passed away. Cheng Shaoshang is surprised that there’s an infatuation man in the world.

Cheng Shaoshang thinks the love cannot be exchanged with gold. Ling Buyi grabs her hand. He tells her that he’s an infatuation man as well. She wants to visit his mom in the future. He agrees to it. He tells her that nobody will dare to stop her.
Cheng Shaoshang tells Ling Buyi that he doesn’t have to pick her up. He asks her what he needs to do if he thinks of her. She tells him to wait for her at the palace gate. He thinks she needs to wake up early. She tells him that it’s fine. Because she can doze off in front of Empress Xuan.
Ling Buyi points out that Cheng Shaoshang joined Changqiu Palace for studying. She asks him to make a choice. He tells her to focus on him. She worries that the marriage will be ruined. So he kisses her. She wonders why he kissed her without her permission.Ling Buyi tells Cheng Shaoshang that he will kiss her if she says something he doesn’t want to hear.
Cheng Shaoshang tells Xiao Yuanyi that she will get married with Ling Buyi three days later. Xiao Yuanyi thinks it’s too fast. Cheng Shaoshang leaks that Ling Buyi told her that she just needs to provide the list of guests. But Cheng Yang thinks it’s too hasty. She points out that Cheng Shaoshang and Ling Buyi’s parents didn’t see each other.
Cheng Shaoshang mentions what Ling Buyi told her not to care for others. Xiao Yuanyi sighs. She doesn’t expect that Ling Buyi isn’t cautious. Qing Cong reports to Xiao Yuanyi that Madam Chengyang came. Xiao Yuanyi tells Lian Fang to help Cheng Shaoshang get changed to welcome the guest.
Cheng Shaoshang greets Madam Chengyang. Madam Chengyang thinks Cheng Shaoshang is very beautiful. She learns the reason why Ling Buyi wants to marry Cheng Shaoshang. She explains that she didn’t gave the wedding gifts in person because she was sick. She doesn’t want to miss the chance this time.
