Episode 17 of Love Like the Galaxy begins with Fan Chang telling the chief killer that he didn’t betray Prince Xiao. He mentions what Prince Xiao said that they will rule the world together. But he wonders when Prince Xiao will take action. The chief killer hurts Fan Cheng’s face with his sword.
The chief killer mentions what Prince Xiao said that only dead bodies can keep the secret. Ling Buyi stops the chief killer before he kills Fan Chang. Fan Cheng promises to tell Ling Buyi the truth if he saves him. Ling Buyi throws Fan Chang to Liang Qiufei. He fights with the killers.

Liang Qiufei thinks Ling Buyi is in a bad mood after he saw him fighting with the killers alone. Liang Qiuqi points out that Ling Buyi could escort Cheng families if Fan Chang didn’t flee. Fan Chang asks Liang Qiufei to look for a doctor for him. Liang Qiufei ignores Fan Chang.
Chang Yang feeds Xiao Yuanyi the medicine. Xiao Yuanyi mentions what the doctor said that she’s fine. She tells Cheng Shi not to worry about her. Cheng Shi wonders why Xiao Yuanyi is sick because of Cheng Shaoshang’s marriage. Cheng Shaoshang wants to take care of her mom.
But Xiaoyuanyi rejects it. She tells Cheng Shaoshang that Cheng Yang took care of her when she stayed with Lou Yao in Hua County. She thinks Cheng Yang is a good girl. She feels regret for letting Cheng Shaoshang engaged first. She tells Cheng Yang to think about her marriage. She wants to help her if she has a man she likes.
Cheng Yang tells Xiao Yuanyi that she wishes her to arrange the marriage for her because she’s her elder. Xiao Yuanyi comforts Cheng Yang that she will let her marry the best man in the world. Cheng Shaoshang leaves. Cheng Shi sighs. He thinks Xiao Yuanyi didn’t have to do so to her daughter.
Wang Songbai walks Wan Qiqi. He praises Cheng Shaoshang. Cheng Shaoshang hears what he said. She walks to Wang Songbai and Wan Qiqi. She wonders why they came. Wang Songbai reveals they came after they heard Xiao Yuanyi is sick. He tells Wan Qiqi to learn it from Cheng Shaoshang. He asks her what she did to him when he was sick. He tells Cheng Shaoshang that Wan Qiqi went out to have a fight with someone.
Wan Qiqi asks Wan Songbai if he wants her to have a fight with Cheng Shaoshang. She tells him that she forgets him since he praised her sister. He feels uncomfortable on his right face. He tells her to rub it. She thinks he won’t have a son. But he doesn’t believe it.
Wan Qiqi is surprised that Cheng Shaoshang is engaged. She mentions Lou Yao was bullied by He Zhaojun. She thinks the guy is too honest. Cheng Shaoshang thinks she won’t find an obedient husband like Lou Yao. She mentions Lou Yao gave wine to her after she was scolded by Xiao Yuanyi.
Wan Qiqi points out that the work can be done by Lian Fang as well. She thinks love is very important to the couple. Cheng Shaoshang knows nothing about love. She thinks it’s best to get married with a friend. Wan Qiqi agrees to what Cheng Shaoshang said. She wants to look for an obedient husband. She complains that Cheng Song kept offending her.
Cheng Shaoshang tells Wan Qiqi that Cheng Song didn’t intend to do it to her. Cheng Song shows up. He tells Wan Qiqi to find a husband who can help her grow up. Wan Qiqi claims that she doesn’t look for a teacher. She asks Cheng Shaogong to predict her future husband.
Who’s the Teacher of Cheng Shaoshang?
Xiao Yuanyi asks Cheng Shaoshang if she regretted after she saw the status of Second Madam Lou. Cheng Shaoshang mentions Xiao Yuanyi got married with Cheng Shi even if Old Madam Cheng and Madam Ge are bad woman. Xiao Yuanyi points out that Lou Yao cannot protect Cheng Shaoshang.
Cheng Shaoshang thinks she doesn’t need Lou Yao’s protecting. She believes that he will be successful one day. Wang Yanji laughs. She thinks Cheng Shaoshang will be a good wife. Lou Ben leaks that he worried that Cheng Shaoshang is a bad woman. He mentions Lou Yao wanted to be an official after he encountered Cheng Shaoshang. He worries that Master Lou will stop Lou Yao.
Wang Yanji comforts Lou Ben that Emperor Wen wants to get talents. She believes that he will be successful. Xiao Yuanyi asks Cheng Shaoshang if she knows why Lou Ben doesn’t become official since he’s a talent. She tells her that Emperor Wen made a rule that there’s no two officials in a family. She adds that Elder Madam Lou forced Lou Ben to give up to be an official.
Xiao Yuanyi reveals Elder Madam Lou didn’t get what she wants because her two sons are trashes. Cheng Shaoshang laughs. Liang Qiuqi mentions they caught the men of Prince Xiao. Ling Buyi tells Liang Qiuqi to interrogate those men.
Liang Qiufei reports to Ling Buyi that the merchants who had deals with Prince Xiao want to flee. Ling Buyi tells Liang Qiufei to forgive the merchants if they tell them the truth. Lou Ben mentions Prince Yong refused to return to court after Emperor Wen summoned him. He thinks something happened at the court. He thinks it’s time to go to see her old friend since the court needs him.
The follower reports to Cheng Shangshang that the officers don’t allow them to pass. Cheng Shaoshang opens the window of the carriage. She sees Ling Buyi riding the horse to her. He wants to escort her and Xiao Yuanyi home. Xiao Yuanyi rejects it because she thinks Ling Buyi has a task.
Ling Buyi tells Cheng Shaoshang not to leave her house because he worries that she will get hurt. She leaks that she’s talking about engagement with Lou family. Xiao Yuanyi tells Ling Buyi to go to Lou family having a drink if he’s free.
But Ling Buyi claims that he’s very busy. Cheng Shaoshang tells Ling Buyi that she and Lou Yao will visit him later. He escorts her and Xiao Yuanyi home. Cheng Shaoshang is surprised that her mom let Yuan Shen teach them. She tells Lou Yao that she won’t take Yuan Shen’s class.
But Lou Yao wants to take Yuan Shen’s class with Cheng Shaoshang. Cheng Song tells Cheng Shaoshang to invite Wan Qiqi to take the class for sharing the punishment. She thinks good sisters should share pains. But she tells Cheng Song that she will tell Wan Qiqi that the idea was given by him. He pretends to get angry. But he smiles after she left.
Wan Qiqi shows up when Cheng Shaoshang takes a look at the tiger skin seat. She tells Cheng Song that she wants to add beads to the seat. He thinks her future husband’s money will be spent by her. She tells him that it’s not his business.
Cheng Shaogong wonders why only the three seats got set up. Wan Qiqi tells him that the seats belong to girls. She tells the guys to set up their seats. Cheng Shaoshang tells Wan Qiqi that she will marry her if she’s a man. Cheng Shaogong thinks Wan Qiqi can marry to Cheng family since there’s many men in Cheng family.
Wan Qiqi tells Cheng Shaogong not to have the dream. She tells him that she won’t marry him. He tells her to get married with Cheng Song. She takes a look at Cheng Song. She claims that she prefers to marry Cheng Shaoshang. Yuan Shen shows up. He tells Cheng Shaoshang that she can marry any man she wants if she agrees to study.
Love Like the Galaxy Chinese Drama: Episode 18 Ending
Episode 18 of Love Like the Galaxy ends with Cheng Shaoshang telling Lou Li that she doesn’t have feelings for Ling Buyi because she has been engaged with Lou Yao. Lian Fang reports to Cheng Shaoshang that Ling Buyi brought the imperial decree of Emperor Wen.
Ling Buyi reads the imperial decree. She’s surprised that Emperor praised her. He tells Cheng Shaoshang to accept the imperial decree. She trips when she stands up. He supports her when he holds her arm. He remembers he asked Emperor Wen to give the grace to Cheng Shaoshang.
