This is the recap for Chinese drama My Dear Guardian: Episode 19. Xia Chu wants to go out to eat the cake because it contains durian. Liang Muze stops her and tells her that he’s immunity to the flavor. So she asks him to taste the cake. But he rejects it.
Liang Muze Begins to Pursue Xia Chu

Xia Chu learns that Liang Muze doesn’t like the cake. She asks him why he cooked durian cake. He tells her that because she likes it. She feels happy. He asks her if she likes her new job. She tells him that one of her patient is going to die.
Xia Chu reveals her patient refused to tell her the dose of the poison she drank. She wonders why she had to do that because she’s still young. Liang Muze thinks the girl wanted to take her life because she got attacked by someone.
Xia Chu Lights Up the Wish of the Patient
Xia Chu goes to see Liu Ran and tells her that she knows about her feelings. She tells her not to feel guilty because of the hurt. She tells her that the one should get punished isn’t her. Liu Ran grabs Xia Chu’s hand and tells her that she wants to be alive.
Xia Chu rushes out of the room and tells Liu Ran’s father to pay the bill. She tells Liang Muze that he was right. So he asks her if Liu Ran drank the poison. She reveals the girl didn’t drink the poison but it reached her blood.
Xia Chu Likes Liang Muze’s Cake
Xia Chu chases Liang Muze. She tells him that she thought he didn’t leave too far because the cake was warm. She tells him that the cake was delicious, and reveals she tasted all of the cakes with her heart. He asks her if she’s going to leave with him.
Xia Chu tells Liang Muze that she cannot leave because there’s a problem in Liu Ran’s left lung. She says that she cannot deal with the problem. She asks him if he thinks she’s useless. She blames the person who created Bai Caoku. He tells her that she’s a good doctor.
Xia Chu Doesn’t Want to Give Up Liu Ran
Xia Chu thanks Liang Muze for the words he told to her. He fixes her tie and tells her to be careful of her looks. He walks away. Zhang Yichi tells the doctors that he decides to give up Liu Ran. Xia Chu is against it. She thinks Zhang Yichi is heartless.
Xia Chu tells Zhang Yichi that doctors should try their best to save the patient. She thinks they should give Liu Ran a chance. She tells him not to fear failure. But he thinks they shouldn’t expect the miracle.
Xia Chu Reminds Mr. Liu the Risk of the Machine
Xia Chu tells Mr. Liu that she will let the machine help Liu Ran until she gets the lung. He asks why they should do if there’s nobody who wants to give the lung to her daughter. She tells him that the machine contains the risk and it’s expensive.
Mr. Liu tells Dr. Song to use the ECMO on his daughter. Dr. Song scolds Xia Chu for telling ECMO to Mr. Liu. She thinks she broke the rules. Xia Chu talks back that Mr. Liu wants to save his daughter. But Dr. Song worries about Mr. Liu’s livelihood. She thinks he shouldn’t know the machine.
Zhang Yichi Gets Convinced
Xia Chu thinks they should make the decision for Mr. Liu. But Dr. Song thinks Xia Chu is too young. Xia Chu says that she doesn’t want to give up Liu Ran. Zhang Yichi shows up. He tells Liu Ran that she convinced him. He says that they decide to help Mr. Liu after talking about it with other people.
Xia Chu goes to see Mr. Liu but he’s missing. Zhang Yichi thinks Mr. Liu fled because he worried about the fees. Xia Chu doesn’t believe Mr. Liu would do that because he wants to save his daughter. The nurse reports to Dr. Song that there’s a patient sent to the hospital.
Liu Ran’s Father Is Dead In Front Of Her
Liu Ran finds out that the patient is Mr. Liu. Mr. Liu asks Liu Ran for saving his daughter with the cashes. He rejected to get treatment and asks the doctors to save her daughter. Liu Ran spots it. Xia Chu goes to comfort Liu Ran.
Liu Ran writes down the word. She asks Xia Chu who’s the person. Xia Chu goes to see Mr. Liu. She finds out that he’s dead. She grabs Liu Ran’s hand and tells her that it’s fine.
Xia Chu Feels Guilty For Mr. Liu’s Death
Xia Chu thinks they should install ECMO for Liu Ran because she’s going to die. But Dr. Song rejects it because she wants to do that until Liu Ran’s families come. She reminds Xia Chu that they’re just doctors.
Xia Chu thinks Mr. Liu won’t die if she didn’t told him about the ECMO. Liang Muze tells her that it’s just an accident. She thinks it was her fault. He thinks she didn’t do anything wrong, and mentions the words his psychologist told him.
Liang Muze Reveals He Went to See a Psychologist
Xia Chu is surprised that Liang Muze went to see a psychologist. He admits it and mentions he rejected the psychologist she arranged for him. Xia Chu asks Liang Muze for some money. But she changes her mind because she thinks it’s her business.
Liang Muze stops Xia Chu and gives the bank card to her. She accepts it when he’s going to take it back. She gives him a hug. She’s happy to run away. Dr. Song tells Zhang Yichi to cancel the ECMO because Liu Ran’s uncle wants to take Liu Ran home.
