“Rattan” is a new Chinese fantasy drama which comes out in 2021. The drama tells a story about a girl Si Teng who is an alien. People fear her and make a group Xuan sect. The chief of Xuan sect Qiu Shan kills Si Teng. But she is waken up by a man Qin Fang after he fell from the cliff with a car.
“Rattan” is adapted from Wei Yu’s novel “Si Teng”.
Jing Tian and Zhang Binbin are the lead actors.
Jing Tian starred Chinese action drama “A Journey to Meet Love” in 2019. She also starred “The King of Blaze” in 2018.
Zhang Binbin starred Chinese historical drama “I Will Never Let You Go” in 2019. He currently stars “Storm Eye” with Yang Mi.

Summary
Si Teng tells the driver to take her to the warehouse. She is killed by someone in the warehouse. The driver is startled after he saw it. The woman tells the driver to carry Si Teng’s body to An Da if she wants to be alive.
Many years later, Qin Fang arrives in An Da with his girlfriend An Man. He wants to visit his benefactor who saved his grandmother. But he is told that the benefactor isn’t there. He falls asleep in the hotel and falls into the valley after someone pushed his car. He is stabbed by a big stone. But he isn’t dead. The girl Si Teng shows up and tells him that she is his master. He realizes that she belongs to Yi clan.
Yan Furui calls Qin Fang and tells him that the people of Xuan sect didn’t find a solution to deal with rattan killing after they talked about it. He doesn’t know what to do. Qin Fang tells Yan Furui to take Wang Qiankun to beg Si Teng. He thinks the girl doesn’t really want Wang Qiankun’s life. Yan Furui agrees to it.
Qin Fang asks Yan Furui if he wants to have a talk with Wa Fang. Yan Furui thinks he will be sad when he hears Wa Fang’s voice. He smiles at Wang Qiankun and asks him if he’s good at acting. Wang Qiankun nods. Yan Furui tells Wang Qiankun that they will take revenge.
Wa Fang gets tea for Si Teng and tells her to drink it. But she applies the ink on his face with her brush. It makes him cry. Qin Fang asks Wa Fang what happened. Wa Fang tells Qin Fang that Si Teng wanted to kill him. Si Teng tells Qin Fang to drink the tea Wa Fang made. Qin Fang spits the tea and blames Wa Fang for putting the salt into the tea. He thinks he deserves it, and takes him to wash face.
Wang Qiankun asks Yan Furui if Huang family has ways to get rid of rattan killing. Yan Furui tells Wang Qiankun that his master Qiu Shan invited the chief of Huang family Huang Yu to deal with Si Teng. He thinks Huang Yu has ways to get rid of rattan killing.
President Shan walks to the female employee and asks her about the flowers. The secretary takes away the flowers, and explains to President Shan that she forgot to tell it to new employee. The female employee asks the secretary if there’s a problem on the flowers. The secretary reveals President Shan hates all of the plants.
Si Teng tells Qin Fang not to tell the people of Xuan sect that she lost her power. He mentions she did many things with rattan. She says that she can use rattan easily but she doesn’t want to spend the rest power. He thinks she’s risking her life to challenge Xuan sect. She mentions what she said that she wants to ask a favor. But he points out that it’s not a good attitude.
Si Teng tells Qin Fang that she doesn’t believe in love. He writes down the word “love”. He tells her there’s still true love in the world. She asks him about his girlfriend An Man. He says that he wouldn’t find her. Si Teng asks Qin Fang which person he and his girlfriend encountered.
Si Teng asks Qin Fang if he does it for love to try his best to look for An Man. He thinks the bad thing wouldn’t happen on An Man if he didn’t take her to Da Na. Si Teng wishes Qin Fang to find his girlfriend. The men in black take Wang Qiankun to get in the room. Yan Furui wants to follow them. But they stop him because he knows nothing.
Yan Furui sees Bai Jin and asks him why he didn’t get into the room. Bai Jin laughs and says that he doesn’t want to bring troubles. He adds that he doesn’t own any skill even if he’s the successor of Bai family. Yan Furui thinks Si Teng won’t expect that Huang Cuiru knows how to get rid of rattan killing. Bai Jin wonders why Si Teng used rattan killing to deal with Wang Qiankun since it can be removed.
Si Teng asks Qin Fang what he heard when he was dying. He says that he heard many sounds. She thinks he wasn’t dead, and reveals she had slept for 81 years. Yan Furui tells Bai Jin that Si Teng told him to visit her in Cangcheng Mountain if they cannot get rid of rattan killing. Bai Jin thinks he would gather the enemies together to kill them if he was Si Teng.
The rattans come out from Wang Qiankun’s nostrils and fly into the master’s nostrils when they treat him. Wang Qiankun wakes up and asks his master if he’s fine. Shen Yindeng hints him there’re poisons in the rattans. Wang Qiankun asks for help. Bai Jin bursts into the room and asks what happened. Shen Yinteng tells him that Si Teng plotted them.
Si Teng enjoys the sunshine and says that she just wanted to ask for a favor. Qin Fang stares at Si Teng and tells her that he saw her in his dream. He asks her if she liked drama before she died. She thinks he shouldn’t ask her the question. She threatens to scoop his eyes if she keeps staring at her with bad intent. He talks back that he won’t have bad intent to a tree.
Yan Furui calls Qin Fang and blames Si Teng for doing the evil thing. Bai Jin takes the phone and asks for a talk with Si Teng. Si Teng greets the masters over the phone. The master is furious to lift his stick. But he falls down because of the pain. She tells the masters not to get angry if they don’t want to get pain.
Bai Jin thanks Si Teng for not killing the masters. He asks her if she has a demand. She says that she told Yan Furui that she wants to ask for a favor. She wonders why they didn’t put it into their minds. Bai Jin glares at Yan Furui. Yan Furui explains that he forgot it.
Shen Yindeng asks Si Teng what she wants. Si Teng asks Qin Fang about it. He thinks she wants to buy them a meal. She admits it. The master doesn’t believe Si Teng did the thing just for a meal. Bai Jin thinks they can only know her intent when they see her. Qin Fang asks Si Teng if she didn’t want to hurt Wang Qiankun because she knew they will visit her one day. But she claims that she doesn’t care for Wang Qiankun’s life at all.

He takes his girlfriend An Man to visit the benefactor. But the benefactor isn’t there. So he has to take his girlfriend to the hotel. He runs into a stranger Mr. Zhao. He falls asleep after An Man got him drink the water. He wakes up and sees two guy kidnapping An Man. The car is carried by the fat guy. He falls with the car.
Zhang Yichi as Yan Furui
He is the heir of Xuan sect. One day, the stone in his yard is broken. He reads the letter his master wrote. He knows that Si Teng is waken up, and realizes that he needs to get rid of Yi clan like his master.
Pan Yiwei as An Man
She becomes Mr. Zhao’s woman after he gave money to her. But she falls for Qin Fang because he’s very handsome and nice to her. She posted an article and badmouths Mr. Zhao after she arrived in An Da with Qin Fang. Mr. Zhao is furious and tells her to visit him. He threatens to tell Qin Fang what she did with him. She kills him by mistake.
