What Happens In Twinkling Watermelon Episode 12?

The student comforts the band members that he lied about the cops. Hyun-Yul reminds the student that Do-Jin will kill him if he knows he told a lie to him. The student laughs to reveals that his uncle is the cop chief. He tells the band members to clean the hall before the guard comes.
The guard runs into the hall. The student smiles to hand over the stuff to the guard when the guard is confused. Yi-Chan and his boys leave the hall. Eun-Gyeol asks Yi-Chan if he’s fine. Ma-Joo tells the boys to go home. But the boy points out that their parents will worry about them if they do so.
Ma-Joo agrees to what the boy said. He takes them to the bathhouse. Hyun-Yul reveals Do-Jin did so because he thought he betrayed him. Yi-Chan notes that Eun-Gyeol is imitating him. Yi-Chan asks Eun-Gyeol if he’s actually his father. He wonders how did he know he would be hurt.
Eun-Gyeol explains to Yi-Chan that he told a lie to him. Yi-Chan throws a fit to Eun-Gyeol after he found out that he was fooled by him. She mentions Se-Kyung. Eun-Gyeol remembers he ran away when Se-Kyung bought him drinks in the cinema.
He runs out of the bathhouse and he goes to see Se-Kyung. He rings the doorbell but she doesn’t open the door. He yells at her and he asks her to come out. But he’s stopped by the neighbor. He goes to the telephone booth to call her.
He apologizes to her and he asks for a meeting up. She’s cold to hang up. She looks at his photo on the wall. She tells him that she hates to be given up. Eun-Gyeol returns to Chung-A’s house. He thinks he should let Se-Kyung stay away from Yi-Chan if he wants to help his parents get together.
Ji-Mi calls Eun-Gyeol when she reads the newspapers in the yard. She thinks she has kicked him out. She tells him to leave. But he points out that he didn’t promise to leave. She mentions he didn’t leave a word to her. But he reveals he reported it to Gun-Hyeong.
He reminds her that his boss is Gun-Hyeong. She’s furious to yell at him. Gun-Hyeong shows up. He wonders who asked Eun-Gyeol to move out. Ji-Mi smiles to greet Gun-Hyeong. She asks him about the business trip. He ignores her and he tells Eun-Gyeol to wait for him in the study.
Eun-Gyeol leaves. Gun-Hyeong wonders when Ji-Mi thought she’s the master of the house. She persuades him not to hire Eun-Gyeol because Eun-Gyeol is a nobody. He scolds her for trying to change his mind. He goes to the study to see Eun-Gyeol. He tells him that he decides to stop the contract. Because he thinks it’s too slow.
Eun-Gyeol is shocked. He reminds Gun-Hyeong that her daughter smiles often. But Gun-Hyeong points out that Eun-Gyeol promised to show him Chung-A’s smile. Eun-Gyeol mentions Gun-Hyeong is very busy. Gun-Hyeong asks Eun-Gyeol if he wishes him to give up his work.
Eun-Gyeol thinks Gun-Hyeong bullied a young boy like him. Gun-Hyeong promises to extend the contract by one month. But he asks Eun-Gyeol to let Chung-A smile at him. Eun-Gyeol promises to give it a try. He tells Gun-Gyeong that Chung-A’s smile is very beautiful. He’s happy to leave the study. Gun-Gyeong smiles when he remembers his daughter’s smile.
Chung-A smiles when she thinks Se-Kyung is going to choose Yi-Chan at the festival. Eun-Gyeol shows up behind her. He wonders if he asks her if she will come to the festival. She admits it. He leaves her room and he swears to get Se-Kyung’s heart for his mother’s sake.
Eun-Yu arrives at the school. Sang-A stops Eun-Yu. She asks her if she’s going to go to the festival. Eun-Yu thinks Sang-A is going to go to the festival. Sang-A denies it. But she promises to go to the festival if Eun-Yu goes to the festival.
Eun-Yu tells something Sang-A doesn’t understand to her. It makes Sang-A follow her. They run into Eun-Gyeol and Chung-A. Eun-Yu ignores Eun-Gyeol. She walks to Chung-A. She uses sign language to greet her. She leaves. Sang-A is shocked that Eun-Yu just used a sign language. She worries that people will treat Eun-Yu as a deaf.
Eun-Gyeol goes to chase Eun-Yu. Sang-A thinks something happened between Eun-Yu and Eun-Gyeol. She asks Chung-A if she knows it. Chung-A pokes Sang-A’s forehead. She walks away. Sang-A yells at Chung-A. Eun-Gyeol follows Eun-Yu. He promises to share his secret with her.
Does Se-Kyung Come to the Festival?
She mentions her parents gave up her. She thinks he gave up her like her parents did to her. She doesn’t want to be his prey anymore. She tries to leave. But he holds her arm. He asks her if she will choose Yi-Chan. He tells her to choose him if she attends the festival.
She’s furious to walk away before she doesn’t need others to tell her what to do. Chung-A stops Eun-Yu when Eun-Yu walks in the hallway. She thinks she’s going to choose Eun-Gyeol. But Eun-Yu tells Chung-A that she’s going to choose Yi-Chan. She walks away. It makes Chung-A sad.
Yi-Chan and his boys are in the truck to tell the people that they’re going to hold a concert at the festival. The people come to him. Yi-Chan sees Chung-A. He’s happy to run to her. He wants to take her to walk around the school. But she rejects it and reveals she needs to go back to school for the class.
She hands over a present to him. He’s happy to tell her that he’s going to use her present to play his guitar. He asks her to come to his show. She nods but she doesn’t intend to come. He’s happy to run away. She turns around and she cries.
Eun-Gyeol shows up when the band members are preparing for the festival. Yi-Chan shows the present to Se-Bum. He reveals the present was given by Chung-A. Eun-Gyeol learns that his mother left. He worries about it because he doesn’t get Chung-A’s heart.
Hyun-Yul wonders why Yi-Chan didn’t let Chung-A join them. Yi-Chan reveals Chung-A went back to school for a class. Ma-Joo mentions the school holds a class for not letting the girls come to the festival. Yi-Chan worries that Se-Kyung won’t come to the school.
Eun-Gyeol is very happy. Hyun-Yul thinks Se-Kyung won’t skip the class because she’s a good student. The boys are very sad because they think they cannot see the girls. Eun-Gyeol tries to comfort the boys. But Se-Kyung comes. The boys come to her.
Yi-Chan joins the boys. He’s surprised that Se-Kyung came. She tells him that she wants to keep her promise. She tells him to do a great job. He promises to try his best. He invites her to go to their booth. She goes to the booth.

Episode 12 of Twinkling Watermelon ends with Eun-Yu crying when she waits for her cab in the rain. Eun-Gyeol finds her. He holds the umbrella for her. He tells her that it breaks his heart when he sees her sadness. She cries to tell him that she doesn’t know how to go home.
