The reporter interviews the people of Typhoon Trading Company in Typhoon Family episode 1. Those guys are very confident about the company’s future. The reporter goes to the nightclub. He introduces the young people who spent their parents’ money to date girls. Tae-Poong is one of them. His father Jin-Young is the president of Typhoon Trading Company. The reporter tries to interview Tae-Poong. But Nam-Mo grabs the microphone. He thanks his mother.
Season of Storms
The reporter says that the impulse buying of the young people is harming society. Tae-Poong tries to enter the nightclub. Nam-Mo notices the Armani shirt Tae-Poong is wearing. Tae-Poong enters a wrong room after he danced a dance. But the girl welcomes him. Hyun-Jun cannot stand it because it’s his room. He throws the wine glass at Tae-Poong. Tae-Poong’s face is hurt. The waiter shows up. Hyun-Jun beats the waiter because he made him unhappy. Tae-Poong stops Hyun-Jun. He lets the waiter leave. Hyun-Jun lifts a chair. He hits Tae-Poong’s head. Tae-Poong’s head is bleeding. The blood drops to his Armani shirt. He shows Hyun-Jun the soiled shirt. But Hyun-Jun breaks the wine bottle. He points the bottle at Tae-Poong. Tae-Poong kicks Hyun-Jun. Nam-Mo joins the fight. He helps Tae-Poong.
Mi-Seon is an employee of Typhoon Trading Company. She runs to the academy in the evening. She pays the tuition. Tae-Poong and Nam-Mo are taken to the police station. Eul-Nyeo shows up. She beats her son Nam-Mo because he called her name. Jeong-Mi arrives. She screams after she found out that her son Tae-Poong was hurt. She protects him when Eul-Nyeo wants to beat him. She allows her to hit her son’s head.
The cop persuades Eul-Nyeo and Jeong-Mi to reconcile with Hyun-Jun. Because their son will be punished if they don’t do that. But Jin-Young refuses to reconcile because his son made a mistake. Hyun-Jun’s father Bak-Ho recognizes Jin-Young. He lets him go home because he has resolved the problem.
Jin-Young chases Bak-Ho out of the police station. He asks him not to forgive his son. But Bak-Ho doesn’t want to bring trouble. Jin-Young comforts Bak-Ho that he doesn’t have to worry about the money. Bak-Ho makes a joke. He leaves. Tae-Poong walks out of the police station with his mother. Jin-Young asks his son to apologize to him. Because he called him and his mother to the police station in the evening. But Tae-Poong asks his father for 10,000 won. Jin-Young is furious to slap his son.
Tae-Poong is in a greenhouse. He tells his friends the flowers that he was beaten by his father. He plays the song. He takes care of those flowers. Tae-Poong and Mi-Seon waits for the train at the train stop. Tae-Poong holds a bouquet of flowers. He bumps Mi-Seon because he’s too tired. They get on the train. She takes over the newspapers from the man. She peeks at him when she’s reading the newspapers. He runs out of the train after the train stopped. He leaves a single flower.
Mi-Seon arrives at Typhoon Trading Company. She cleans the office and makes coffee. She puts the single flower into a glass bottle. She picked up the flower after Tae-Poong left. Jeong-Mi puts the flowers into the glass bottle at home as well. The flowers were given by Tae-Poong. He dislikes his father. But he’s close to his mother. Jin-Young walks into his son’s bedroom when the guy is sleeping. He sees the flowers on the table. He smiles.
Jin-Young walks out of Tae-Poong’s bedroom. Jeong-Mi knows her husband regrets after he slapped Tae-Poong. So she suggests that he should buy his son a car. He gets angry because he thinks his son doesn’t need the car. But she reminds him that his son wiped his shoes.
Jin-Young goes out. He’s in a good mood. But the car gets his shoes wet. He has to wipe his shoes. Jeong-Mi wakes Tae-Poong up. Tae-Poong gets a call from Nam-Mo. The employees arrive at Typhoon Trading Company. Mi-Seon makes them coffee.
Tae-Poong arrives at the TV station MBS. He takes part in the blind date show with Nam-Mo. The girls favors him immediately after they found out that he’s very handsome. One of the girls Se-Ni wonders why he likes Cosmos. Because she thinks the flower is ordinary. But he points out that the flower is very resilient.
Jin-Young gives the bonus to his employees. Because the profit of Daebang Textile was great. The employees are very happy. Someone calls Typhoon Trading Company. Mi-Seon picks up the phone. Mi-Ho sings a song on the blind date show. Tae-Poong is very happy.
Jin-Young receives a big deal from Daebang Textile. But he’s not happy because of the cash flow. But the employees persuade him to accept the deal. Because they will earn one hundred million won. Mi-Seon walks into Jin-Young’s office. She persuades her boss not to sign with Daebang Textile because they need to pay the Italian company. Tae-Poong asks Nam-Mo to buy him beef after he helped him.
Mi-Seon returns home when Mi-Ho is going to go out. She keeps her sister. Mi-Ho discovers Mi-Seon’s notebook when she’s practicing for the interview. She learns that her sister swears not to go on a blind date. She laughs because she thinks Mi-Seon should date a man. Mi-Seon beats Mi-Ho.
Jin-Young signs the contract in the end. The employees begin to work. Tae-Poong and his friends wander around on the street. They run into the Hyun-Jun and the girl. Hyun-Jun brings up that Tae-Poong took part in the blind date show. The girl gets angry. She mentions Tae-Poong rejected her when she wanted to be his girlfriend. Hyun-Jun forces the girl to go home with him. Tae-Poong saves the girl. Hyun-Jun drives his car to rush to Tae-Poong and the girl. He asks the girl to go home with him.
Tae-Poong joins Nam-Mo in the Billiards Hall. He’s told that Yun-Seong’s family went bankrupt. He goes to Yun-Seong’s house when Yun-Seong is going to flee. He catches him. Yun-Seong tells Tae-Poong not to trust anyone. Tae-Poong gives all his valuables to the guy. He passes by the restaurant when his father is eating at the restaurant. Jin-Young sighs after Tae-Poong left.
The next day, Nam-Mo helps Tae-Poong take care of the roses in the greenhouse. Tae-Poong plans to tell his father that he’s going to sell the roses. The employees of Typhoon Trading Company want to own a car. But Jin-Young brings a bad news to them that he cannot pay them the salaries because the client didn’t pay him. He returns to his office. He passes out.
Jin-Young is sent to the hospital. Tae-Poong gets the message. He runs to the hospital. He bumps Mi-Seon in the lobby. He finds his father’s ward when her mother is crying in the hallway. He comforts her while she’s anxious. Mi-Seon studies at home. She’s told that they only have six pieces of coal. She wants to use her bankbook. Mi-Ho stops her sister. Because she’s going to be hired. She blames her for wearing her skirt. Tae-Poong walks into his father’s ward. He puts the blanket on his mother who falls asleep. He wipes his father’s shoes.
Mi-Seon prepares food for Jin-Young at home. Mi-Ho asks her sister not to do that because the president didn’t pay her the salary. But Mi-Seon thinks she should be grateful. Because the president paid Mi-Ho’s tuition. Tae-Poong leaves the hospital after he heard the girl is in trouble. Mi-Seon visits Jin-Young in the ward. He says something to her. Tae-Poong goes to the nightclub. He finds out that the girl is fine. Hyun-Jun knows Tae-Poong’s family went bankrupt. He celebrates it. Nam-Mo shows up. He asks Tae-Poong to return to the hospital.
