In 2011, Su-Bin and Yi-Jae study in the classroom in Dream to You episode 1. The time is up. Yi-Jae runs out of the classroom with a camera. She leaves the school. She’s on the boy’s bike. She holds the camera to film the girl when she asks her to run fast. She’s very happy.
Yi-Jae says that those years, she lived in a dream everyday. Yi-Jae films the sea. Su-Bin takes over the camera from her. He films her. She asks him not to film her. Both smile at each other. Su-Bin says that those years, he treated her as his dream everyday.
In 2025, Yi-Jae and Su-Bin are on different planes. They leave the planes. Su-Bin succeeds. But he doesn’t fulfill his dream back then. Yi-Jae’s life is a failure. Su-Bin arrives at the film festival. He wins Golden Wave Award. He runs to the stage to take the award. He gives a speech. He gives all the glory to Yi-Jae.
He holds a press conference. The reporter mentions he’s called the genius director. She notices that the trophy is dazzling. She has a feeling that it’s a sign of his future. But he wants to drink.
On the beach, Yi-Jae picks clams. She trips. She says that life is like quagmire. Each step of her is all a struggle. But ending is always a mess. In the evening, Yi-Jae is on the way home. Her mother calls her. She tells her that the landlord wants to increase rent. Yi-Jae thinks she has to sell the shop if the landlord continues to increase rent. She promises her mother that she will raise money. Her mother asks her about her health. Yi-Jae says that it’s going to rain. She feels uncomfortable.
Yi-Jae returns home with the clams. She washes her clothes and dries it. She sees the news that Su-Bin wins an award. He thinks his first love Yi-Jae is watching the news. He tells her that he will come to see her. She’s shocked after knowing he became a director. She swears she will kick him back if he dares to return to Korea.
The next day, Su-Bin arrives at the airport. He takes a cab. The driver tells Su-Bin that Yi-Jae is a good girl. Su-Bin discovers that Korea is changed.
At the network, Yi-Jae has a fight with PD. He threatens to change a reporter. She tells him that his method doesn’t work. CP takes Su-Bin to show up. He introduces the guy to the employee. He asks Writer Song about PD Kyung. He and Su-Bin find out that PD Kyung is fighting Yi-Jae. Yi-Jae turns out. She sees Su-Bin. He smiles at her. She hides under the desk. PD Kyung kicks Yi-Jae. But he’s called away by CP. Su-Bin greets Yi-Jae. Her head hits the desk.
In 2010 at the school, Yi-Jae films the students on the campus. She sees Su-Bin. She thinks he’s good looking. He notices her. He winks at her. She’s flustered to hit the window. On the playground, the Principal is giving a speech under the sun. But Yi-Jae passes out. Su-Bin carries her to the health office. The teacher leaves. Yi-Jae gets up from the bed. She tells Su-Bin that she pretended it. She asks him who he is. She planned to let the classmate carry her.
He tells her that he just transferred there. She learns that he’s the boy who came from Seoul. He reminds her that she knew him. She remembers he winked at her. The meeting ends because she passed out. She thinks those guys should thank her. She mentions Principal said that they’re growing seedlings. The seedlings were going to be burned to death under the sun. He tells her that she kept shaking. He worried about her. She figures it out that he just looked at her. He denies it. He explains it to her that she looked very tired.
On the playground, Yi-Jae asks Su-Bin about his dream. He says that he doesn’t have such a thing. She gets angry. She tells him that he should have a dream as a man. He says that he has a dream that he has to complete. It’s being a doctor. Because his grandpa and his father are doctors. He would transfer because of his father’s hospital. She asks him if he’s good at studying. He denies it. He just spends time to study.
It’s his turn to ask her about her dream. He does it. But he’s too gentle. It makes her misunderstand him. She teaches him that he shouldn’t call girls’ names there. Everyone will think he likes her. She asks him not to laugh like that. Her dream is to be a movie director. She asks him if it’s very cool.
Su-Bin follows Yi-Jae to the roof of the hospital. She sets up her camera. She’s going to film sunset. She falls asleep. He shows up and accompanies her. In the evening, she wakes up. She sees him. She’s startled. She asks him why he’s there. He explains it to her that he came to help his father. It’s his father’s hospital. She checks the time. She knows it’s Patrol Hours. So she has to leave. The place is great for night photography.
Su-Bin and Yi-Jae are discovered by the guard. Yi-Jae holds Su-Bin’s hand. She takes him run out of the hospital. She tells him that they’re all accomplices from now on.
The next day, Su-Bin and his mother Hwa-Yeon are in the car. Su-Bin sees Yi-Jae. He gets off the car. She films the old lady. Everything is fine. But it lacks something. Su-Bin tells Yi-Jae that it’s shadows. He offers to add some shadows on the old lady’s face. It will be even more melancholic.
Yi-Jae gets Su-Bin to use the branch to make the shadows. His mother calls him. He doesn’t pick up the phone. The uncle pushes the old lady off the stage. Yi-Jae asks him to apologize. She threatens him that she will take him to the police station. He grabs her camera. He throws it on the ground. Su-Bin catches the camera. But he falls on the ground.
The uncle tries to grab the camera the second time. Su-Bin refuses to give it to the uncle. So the uncle beats Su-Bin. Yi-Jae tries to stop the uncle. But she’s pushed on the ground. The police arrive. The uncle flees.
In the pavilion, Yi-Jae dresses Su-Bin’s wound. She mentions he didn’t yell even if he was kicked. He apologizes to her. But she thinks the whole camera would be broken if it wasn’t him. He tells her that he plans to like her. He asks her if he can like her. She mentions it’s not he likes her. She asks him what it means that he plans to like her. He tells her that he wants to be like her. It’s not he wants to own her. She asks him what he means. He says that he almost owns everything, except one thing. She figures it out that it’s her. He says that it’s his dream. But she has a dream. This is why she’s shining.
At present, Yi-Jae and Su-Bin run out of the office. She blames him for coming to her company. He tells her that it’s not coincidence. He thought he would encounter her. It’s good after he saw her. He tells her that he missed her very much. He asks her if she didn’t miss him. She thinks he’s crazy. He laughs. He tells her that her mouth is sharp like before. She says that it’s not bad memories. So she cannot speak out something good. He’s close to her when someone tries to open the door outside.
Yi-Jae asks Su-Bin to take his hand away. He asks her if she has a boyfriend. She claims that she has a husband and children. She asks him what he will do. He can tell she doesn’t have a boyfriend. He asks her if she’s free. She tries to hit him. But her head hits the door. He invites her to go to have a meal. But she thinks they’re not such a relationship. She’s full and she just ate. He tells her that she’s funny. She asks him which show he wants to take part in. She asks him not to say something first love.
The nation isn’t big. If she’s discovered, will he responsible? He figures it out that she searched him. He’s very happy after knowing it. She tells him that it’s not the point. He asks her if she dislikes him very much. She admits it. She curses him everyday. But heaven doesn’t take her side. She’s jealous very much after she saw that he became a movie director. He mentions he promised her that he would be a movie director. But she thinks he broke the promise because he went to the United States.
She tells him that if he pretends to be close to her next time, his head will be broken. She doesn’t want to meet him. He looks at her eyes. He thinks a lot of her brain cells died. He tells her that she should clap her hands to stimulate her brain after she goes home.
In the evening at Yu-Goen’s house, Yi-Jae claps her hands. The fried chicken comes. Yu-Goen asks Yi-Jae why she comes to his house to eat fried chicken each time. She asks him if he thought she treated him because he was cute. She did it because she lives alone and she cannot eat it up. She asks him not to go to deliver takeout. But he thinks he will get a chance if he meets the guy several times. There’s no job that is more freedom than delivering takeout.
She complains it to him that she would feel relieved if her brother was thoughtful like him. He points out that he would live like her brother if he was her brother. She was the one who spoiled the guy. She cannot deny it. He mentions she hit her head after she saw her first love. He asks her how she feels. After all, becoming a movie director is her dream. She thinks the guy deserves it. He learns that she remains clam. He feels sad for her. She says that she thought about the scene that she met the guy again. She didn’t expect that he would be a movie director, and she’s in such a desperate state. She knows she’s pretending that she’s fine.
The next day at the cafe, Su-Bin video chats with In-Wook. In-Wook is going to come to Korea. Ha-Na shows up. The manager mentions Su-Bin came to Korea. Ha-Na thinks the news shouldn’t have appeared. She’s not happy. The girls welcome Ha-Na. Ha-Na sits on the couch. She mentions she had a chance to walk the Red Carpet. Queen of the Mediterranean, Oh Ha-Na.
The manager Chae-Yeon reveals Ha-Na failed to her first audition in her life. It was Su-Bin’s movie. Ha-Na asks Chae-Yeon if she had to put it so bluntly. Chae-Yeon apologizes to Ha-Na. Ha-Na says that she just memorized her lines, and she went to the audition. But Su-Bin kept asking her questions. She didn’t understand what those guys said. Because they only used English. Chae-Yeon mentions what Ha-Na said that she wanted to cast a Hollywood movie.
Su-Bin leaves the cafe. He goes to another cafe. He runs into Yu-Goen. He thinks he became more good looking. Yu-Goen heard that Su-Bin became a movie director. He cannot congratulate him. Su-Bin brings up that Yu-Goen tangled him. But Yu-Goen denies it. Su-Bin figures it out that the guy used him as an excuse to tangle Yi-Jae. Yu-Goen points out that he was close to Yi-Jae. After Su-Bin joined, it became three people together. This is why Yu-Goen was ostracized.
Su-Bin asks Yu-Goen if he’s still close to Yi-Jae. Yu-Goen admits it. He thinks he and the girl should be like that. His hard attitude makes Su-Bin unhappy. Su-Bin brings up that Yu-Goen liked him. Yu-Goen claims that he only supports Yi-Jae. He doesn’t like Su-Bin as long as Yi-Jae doesn’t like him. Su-Bin realizes that he should make it clearly. He asks Yu-Goen for Yi-Jae’s number. He comforts him that he will pretend he happens to see. Yu-Goen reminds Su-Bin that the only one who knows he and Yi-Jae’s story is him. Su-Bin asks Yu-Goen to mind his own business. They adults will resolve the problem on their own.
So Yu-Goen thinks Su-Bin should come up with a way on his own. He puts his cell phone into his pocket. He gets a call from Yi-Jae. He picks up the phone. Su-Bin hears that Yi-Jae is in Cabbage Market.
Ha-Na waits for the model at the bar. She’s told that the model had a car accident. She thinks it’s fine. But Chae-Yeon reports it to Ha-Na that the director was angry, and he’s on the way to the place. Ha-Na has a commercial two hours later.
Yu-Goen shows up. He mistakes Ha-Na for Lin Qingxia. He’s waiting for someone to pay the takeout fee. Ha-Na takes off her sunglasses. He recognizes her. She walks to him. She asks him if he’s free. He denies it. She tells him that his shoulder is suitable for her to lean on.
He’s dressed up. He tells her that he wants to be an actor. She can tell that he maintained his shape. He’s surprised that he has such a chance. He feels honored. But she tells him that she wants to thank him. He confesses it to her that he’s Jin Chengwu’s fan. He believes that he’s playing Jin Chengwu. She tells him that he’s just a shoulder man.
Yu-Goen is on the roof at home. He holds the group photo of him and Ha-Na.
It flashes back. Ha-Na stops Yu-Goen. She gives the photo to him. She tells him that it won’t be published. She asks him if he will be disappointed. She tells him that she won’t sign. Because he’s not her fan. She runs away.
At present, Yu-Goen looks at Ha-Na’s commercial. He sighs. He thinks it’s a dream. Su-Bin is at home. He looks into the Cabbage app. He discovers that the seller Boiled Egg is selling videotape. He laughs. He knows the person is Yi-Jae.
Yi-Jae cleans her videotape at home. The buyer Big Star contacts her. He wants to buy her videotape. But he asks to meet her.
The next day, Yi-Jae carries the videotapes to meet the buyer at the subway station. She discovers that the buyer is Su-Bin. They go to a cafe. She doesn’t want to sell the videotapes to him. But he offers to pay ten times the price. She asks him if he came to show off his wealth. He says that he will consider it. He asks her why she wants to throw away the videotapes. She says that it’s a burden. He reminds her that it’s the stuff that she cherished. He asks her if she won’t regret.
He reads her farewell letter to the videotape. He tells her that he was moved. She asks him why he wants to buy the videotapes. He says that he wants to collect memories. He invites her to watch it with him. She rejects it. She mentions she’s the one who sells the videotapes. She asks him to pay.
He takes out the script “Love Song of the Capital”. He tells her that he wants to make it into a movie. But there’s no ending. He invites her to complete it with him. She pours coffee on the script. She resolves the problem. She runs out of the cafe.
Yi-Jae walks on the street. It’s raining suddenly. Su-Bin stops her with an umbrella. She tells him that she hates getting caught in the rain the most. She had waited for him for 15 days at the door of his house. She yells at him. She thinks he shouldn’t have appeared and pretended nothing happened. He should stay in the memory of her first love. Not turning into regret. She tells him that he’s her regret. She asks him to return to that day and take a look at it. To see what feelings she had. She grabs the umbrella from him. She walks away.
