This is the recap of Go Go Squid! Chinese Drama 2019 Episode 5. Lan Mei wants Shang Yan to autograph her skirt. Dai Feng thinks it’s not a problem as Lan Mei is Tong Nian’s friend. Lan Mei is excited that Shang Yan is Tong Nian’s boyfriend. But Tong Nian reveals she only saw Shang Yan three times.

Tong Nian realizes that Shang Yan founded KK for Ai Qing, and thinks he had dinner with her for comfort her. Lan Mei’s boyfriend gives a ticket of KK to Tong Nian, and asks Lan Mei to accompany Tong Nian to watch the game.
Wu Bai tells Shang Yan that he saw Tong Nian in the program competition for college students, and he didn’t explain it because it wasn’t his business. Shang Yan thinks only Ai Qing is related to Wu Bai, and asks Wu Bai about grandpa’s intent. Wu Bai thinks it’s visiting relatives, but Shang Yan doesn’t think so.
The fan hits Tong Nian’s leg by mistake, and Wang Hao goes to care for her. Ai Qing recognizes Tong Nian and tells fans to line up. Wang Hao greets Shang Yan, but Shang Yan ignores Wang Hao. Ai Qing tells Wang Hao not to think too much.
The members mention to Shang Yan that Tong Nian came with her friend, and Shang Yan tells Dai Feng to let Tong Nian in. Dai Feng calls Tong Nian big sister-in-law, and Lan Mei thinks Tong Nian got married. Tong Nian lets Dai Feng take Lan Mei in, and he agrees with it.
Lan Mei wants Shang Yan to autograph her skirt. Dai Feng thinks it’s not a problem as Lan Mei is Tong Nian’s friend. Lan Mei is excited that Shang Yan is Tong Nian’s boyfriend. But Tong Nian reveals she only saw Shang Yan three times. It makes Dai Feng think that Shang Yan is awesome.
Tong Nian tells Lan Mei not to ask Shang Yan about their relationship. Lan Mei understands it and claims not to disturb their love. Dai Feng tells members that Tong Nian only saw Shang Nian three times, and they think Shang Yan got Tong Nian in one time. The female leader hits members with work card, and tells them not to gossip.
Shang Yan asks Tong Nian to sit with him, and shares that the members want to invite her to watch the game for free. Tong Nian wants to explain the relationship to members, but Shang Yan only gives her one minute. She asks for 5 minutes, and he tells her not to explain it.
Tong Nian tells Lan Mei that she pursued Shang Yan but didn’t succeed. Shang Yan notes that Tong Nian waved to Ai Qing, and asks her if she knows Ai Qing. Tong Nian denies and shares that Ai Qing took her in. Shang Yan shares that the woman is Appledog Ai Qing, and Tong Nian realizes the woman is the person Shang Yan likes.
Wang Hao notes Tong Nian sits with Shang Yan, and thinks Shang Yan got a girlfriend. Tong Nian wants to leave as she doesn’t want to make Ai Qing misunderstand. But Shang Yan thinks Tong Nian’s intelligence is wrong, and reveals he isn’t interested in women.
Tong Nian leaves with Lan Mei, and shares that she failed to confess. But Lan Mei thinks Shang Yan likes Tong Nian as he didn’t explain their relationship. SP wins because of Xiao Mi and Ou Qiang’s joining. Wang Hao wants Shang Yan to gather with Xiao Mi and Ou Qian, but Shang Yan walks away.
Shang Yan asks Tong Nian to explain it to members, but Lan Mei stops Tong Nian as she will lose the chance. Tong Nian doesn’t know how to explain. Shang Yan tells her not to explain it as they won’t see each other again.
Shang Yan shares that he doesn’t have time to deal with anyone, except KK. Because the boys give the dreams to Shang Yan. Female Leader asks Shang Yan about Tong Nian, but he says that he solved it and wants to help the boys achieve their dreams. Female Leader thinks Tong Nian is very nice.
The members wonder why Shang Yan rages while seeing Wang Hao. Ling Shan shares that Shang Yan got angry because Wang Hao and Ai Qing left solo team. Shen Zhe shares that Wang Hao caused team to dissolve for personal reason, and doesn’t want Female Leader to know it.
Ling Shan shares Female Leader is the mother of Wang Hao’s daughter. Female Leader shows up and tells members that they have an English class. Tong Nian tells her mother that Zheng Hui is waiting for her, and the lady asks Tong Nian to take Zheng Hui home having a meal.
Tong Nian arrives at the school, and Zheng Hui introduces her as runner-up of program contest. She throws the topic of artificial intelligence.
