They’re startled to step back. Ning Yuxuan shows up. He mentions Ms. Wen is dying. He tells Nie Sangyu to get back with him.

Nie Sangyu yells at Ning Yuxuan that she didn’t kill Ms. Wen. She asks him why he forces her. But he insists on letting her come back. She laughs to curse him for not getting a good ending. She jumps off the cliff and falls into the water.
Ji Man wakes up. The maid Mu Xu asks Ji Man to take medicine. Ji Man is told that she’s the elder madam of the general house. Mu Xu believes that Ji Man doesn’t like her name. She tells her to change the name for her. Ji Man calms Mu Xu down. She thinks she mistook her as someone else.
Mu Xu notes that Ji Man is changed. She thinks she broke her head when she fell off the cliff. Ji Man tells Mu Xu that she wants to leave since they’re busy. But Mu Xu tells Ji Man that she cannot leave the house because there’re many bodyguards outside.
Mu Xu tells Ji Man that she was locked up because she made a mistake. Ji Man tries to leave her house. The guards block her with the blades. The guard tells Ji Man that Ning Yuxuan doesn’t allow her to leave. Ji Man asks Mu Xu what happened before she fell off the cliff.
The maid Ban Xia brings the chicken to Nie Sangyu. Nie Sangyu tells Ban Xia to take out the chicken from the cage. Ban Xia tries to beat the chicken because the chicken attacked her. Nie Sangyu tells Ban Xia that she cannot compensate the chicken with her life if she breaks the chicken.
Ban Xia asks Nie Sangyu to forgive her. Nie Sangyu tells the maids to give the plum blossom painting to Ban Xia. Ban Xia is taken away. Nie Sangyu asks Mu Xu about Ning Yuxuan. Mu Xue reveals Ning Yuxuan will come back later. She tells Nie Sangyu to have meal in advance. Nie Sangyu rejects it because she wants to wait for Ning Yuxuan.
Ji Man thinks the story is scary. She asks Mu Xu about Ning Yuxuan. Mu Xu reveals Ning Yuxuan is very handsome. Ji Man learns that her husband is a hero. She thinks there’re many girls liking him. Mu Xu agrees to what Ji Man said. She leaks that Ning Yuxuan got married with his second wife.
Ji Man wonders why Ning Yuxuan married the second wife since he owns her. Mu Xu thinks Ji Man got angry because Ning Yuxuan married a concubine. Ji Man thinks Ning Yuxuan is a womanizer. Nie Sangyu breaks into Ning Yuxuan’s room. She asks him if he actually wants to get married with Wen Wan.
Nie Sangyu tells Ning Yuxuan that she doesn’t allow him to get married with Wen Wan. He tells the bodyguards to take her away. But she shakes off the bodyguard’s hands. Ji Man wonders who got married since Ning Yuxuan went to catch bandits.
The matchmaker takes Wen Wan to walk out of the house. She doesn’t see Ning Yuxuan. She asks the maid about Ning Yuxuan. The maid explains to the matchmaker that Ning Yuxuan couldn’t come because of his business. She adds that Nie Sangyu asked her to pick up the bride.
The matchmaker that the person is the maid. The maid denies it. She takes out the chicken. She shows the chicken to the matchmaker and Wen Wan. Ji Man is surprised that she let Wen Wan get married with a rooster. Mu Xu reveals Ji Man got married with a rooster as well.
Wen Wan is happy when she sees Ning Yuxuan. But Nie Sangyu tells Ning Yuxuan not to think about getting married with Wen Wan when she’s there. But he tells Butler Liu to continue the wedding. Nie Sangyu takes out a knife to stab Ning Yuxuan.
But Wen Wan protects Ning Yuxuan with her life. Nie Sangyu tells Ning Yuxuan that the killer wasn’t her. The killers try to kill Ning Yuxuan. But they fail. Ning Yuxuan tells his followers not to forgive the killers. Ji Man asks Mu Xu if Wen Wan was dead.
Mu Xu denies it. Mu Xu tries to go to take medicine. But Ji Man stops Mu Xu. She tells her that she wants to flee. The maid tells Ji Man that Ning Yuxuan invited her to the study. Ji Man rejects it. But she remembers what Mu Xu told her that Ning Yuxuan is very handsome.
Ning Yuxuan tells Gui Bai to look into the bandits. He thinks the bandits are related to Tea Sect. Ji Man walks into the study. She calls Ning Yuxuan. He turns around. She sees him and thinks he’s a gentleman. She tells him that the misunderstanding won’t affect their love relationship.
But Ning Yuxuan tells Ji Man that he won’t forgive her. She stops him and claims that she didn’t do those things. He thinks she’s acting. He asks her if she needs him to remember it for her. He asks her how did she stabbed Wen Wan.
Ji Man tells Ning Yuxuan that she cannot remember it. She thinks she lost her memories because she fell off the cliff. She wants to return to her room to think about it. But he stops her and asks her if sign the confession. She reads the confession. She finds out that he’s a beast.
Ji Man refuses to sign the confession because she didn’t do those things. She tries to walk away. But she’s blocked by the bodyguards. She pretends to pass out. But it doesn’t work for Ning Yuxuan. Ji Man reminds Ning Yuxuan that people will look down on him if they know he has a bad wife.
Ning Yuxuan tells Nie Sangyu that he doesn’t care for it. He tells her not to deny it. He tells her that he hasn’t slept with her. She laughs because she thinks he’s a virgin. He tells her to sign the confession. She realizes that she cannot leave the place if she doesn’t sign the confession. She signs the confession and runs away. He reads the confession. He gets angry. She laughs to tell him that she didn’t promise what she signs.
Mu Xu moves to Reflection Pavilion with Ji Man. She cries because she thinks they’re over. She worries that they cannot leave the place. Ji Man tells Mu Xu to live in the place well since Ning Yuxuan asked them to live there. She tells her to leave. She begins to clean the house.
Mu Xu returns to the house. She finds out that Ji Man is cleaning the house. She’s scared because Ji Man wasn’t like that before. Ji Man comforts Mu Xu that she won’t change. She promises not to let her live in the fear. Mu Xu chooses to trust Ji Man. She tells her that she brought the food to her.
Ji Man wonders why there’s no meat. Mu Xu reveals Ji Man became a vegetarian for Ning Yuxuan. Ji Man is surprised that she loved Ning Yuxuan so much. Mu Xu mentions what Ning Yuxuan told her to only prepare the meal. She tells Ji Man to eat more so that they will win next time.
Ji Man agrees to what Mu Xu said that they should give in because they live under someone else’s house. She eats the food. Gui Bai reads the confession. She thinks it wasn’t like Nie Sangyu. Ning Yuxuan asks Gui Bai if he was sure that the person was Nie Sangyu. Gui Bai admits it.
Ji Man sneaks into the kitchen to cook. But she finds out that the kitchen is burning. She tries to leave the kitchen. But she finds out that someone locked her up from outside. She thinks she will be killed in the kitchen. Ning Yuxuan sees the burning kitchen.
The follower reports to Ning Yuxuan that the kitchen is burning when he arrived. Ning Yuxuan tells Gui Bai to tear down the kitchen. He hears someone’s crying from the kitchen. He tries to break into the kitchen. But Ji Man rushes to him when she holds a stick.
Ning Yuxuan avoids Ji Man. But she trips and falls to the ground with him. She stares at him and tries to kiss him. But he blocks her kiss with his hand. He pushes her aside and calls Gui Bai. Gui Bai takes care of Ning Yuxuan. Ji Man tries to tell Ning Yuxuan that she yelled for help from inside.

Episode 1 of Romance of a Twin Flower Chinese Drama ends with Ning Yuxuan blaming Ji Man for setting a fire. She tells him that the fire wasn’t set by her. He mentions the dress she wore. She notes that he was hurt. Gui Bai takes Ning Yuxuan away. Mu Xu thinks Ning Yuxuan cares for Ji Man. She mentions Ning Yuxuan rushed into the fire to save Ji Man.
Ji Man agrees to what Mu Xu said. She thinks Ning Yuxuan has a conscience. Mu Xu tells Ji Man to go to sleep. She tries to go to close the door. Ji Man stops Mu Xu. She remembers the door of the kitchen was locked from outside. She realizes that someone wanted to kill her.
Gui Bai tells Ning Yuxuan to go to see a doctor when he’s taking a bath. Ning Yuxuan rejects it and tells Gui Bai to get out. He wonders why he still feared fire. Ji Man goes to look for Ning Yuxuan. She finds out that she passes out in the bathtub.
