The carriage Wen Xi sits stops, and the servant tells her not to get off as there are soldiers. She opens the window and is surprised to see Ming An.
Qi Prince and Emperor shoot the target, and General Lv praises them. Emperor asks General Lv to help them because he didn’t take the archers. He says that the winner can ask for what he wants. Crown Prince doesn’t believe it, and Emperor says that capable person gets everything.
Feng En asks Crown Prince if he doesn’t want to give up Wen Xi after he knew the lord of Long State. Crown Prince thinks Emperor understands it, and mentions he cancelled the order of side concubine of Qi Prince.
Feng En thinks Crown Prince always expects something when Emperor shows good complexion. He reminds him that the lord of Long State is for abstinence of Si Lin. But Crown Prince stops Feng En and swears to win.
Crown Prince wants to visit Emperor, but Palace General blocks him and reveals Emperor is gaming with someone. Emperor complains that Si Lin got the military leadership even if Ming An managed Long State for three years.
Emperor asks Ming An to cooperate with Si Lin because the enemy attacks them. Ming An agrees to it and thinks Emperor called him back not just for Si Lin. Emperor tells Ming An that he worries about Bai Zhou.
Lv Han takes his men to welcome Bai Zhou, and they thank Bai Zhou for the money he gave them. Lv Han prepared the meal for Bai Zhou.
Emperor thinks Bai Zhou isn’t the lamp which saves oil, and Lv Han’s heaven long army stations in the capital.
Lv Han wonders what Emperor’s reward is and why he went to the moving palace. He tells Bai Zhou that Ming An came, and Bai Zhou thinks Ming An is a hare.
Emperor thinks he shouldn’t let Bai Zhou take the army if he wants him to be obedient. He intends to get Ming An to take Lv Han to Long State, and Si Lin will scruple about it.
Lv Han thinks Ming An is a lackey who chases hare, and Bai Zhou wants to transfer Lv Han to Long State. Lv Han is furious to reject, and he prefers to die. Lv Han is on knees and holds the wine for Bai Zhou. He says that he only wants to guard the gate for Bai Zhou and Qi Prince.
Bai Zhou laughs and comforts Lv Han that he won’t let him go anywhere. He takes the wine and tells Lv Han to reject it when Emperor mentions it. Bai Zhou goes out, and Lv Han wants to see him off. But Bai Zhou tells Lv Han to go back.
The man worries that Emperor will suspect it if Lv Han rejects it. But Bai Zhou thinks it’s better if Emperor suspects it.
Ming An reveals Bai Zhou has the power to reject imperial edict, and he thinks he cannot take away Heaven Long Army if Bai Zhou disagrees. He offers to let Lv Han take part in the shooting party, but Emperor worries that the army will mutiny.
Emperor wants to give Lv Han and the army the same grace which he cannot reject. Ming An wonders what the grace is about to bend people without war.
Crown Prince is surprised to see Ming An, and Ming An tells him to get in the palace. Crown Prince asks about Wen Xi, and Ming An says that he ran into her and let her go to Long State. Crown Prince leaves, and Ming An remembers Emperor wished Crown Prince not to win.
Zhao Prince shelters from the rain with his men, and finds the painting on the table. He thinks the painting was drawn by a girl. But the follower disagrees. Zhao Prince wants to bet and the loser needs to ask for handwriting from Shi Yu.
