“The Day of Becoming You” is a new Chinese romance drama which comes out in 2021. The drama tells a story about a girl Yu Shengsheng who dislikes the star Jiang Yi. But she falls for him after they exchanged their bodies.
Liang Jie and Zhang Xincheng are the lead actors.
Liang Jie starred Chinese historical drama “The Eternal Love Season 3” in 2021. She plays a girl who fights with empress for her man. She also starred “Time Flies and You are Here” in same year. She played a maid who trains her husband to be a hero after they got married.
Zhang Xincheng starred Chinese family drama “Go Ahead” in 2020. He played a general boy who has to live with his godfather after his mother abandoned him. He also starred “Skate Into Love” in same year.

Summary (Recap)
Jiang Yi and Yu Shengsheng sit on the bench in a beautiful evening. They decide to break up, but wish each other to find their happiness. Yu Shengsheng leaves after she wiped off her tears.
The novel is written by Yu Shengsheng. She cannot continue to write because she’s upset. Tong Hua calls Yu Shengsheng and asks her if she got the afflatus from mountain. Yu Shengsheng reveals she didn’t find it. Tong Hua mentions what she said that Yu Shengsheng will get involved if she writes her own story.
Yu Shengsheng explains that she wanted to solve resolve her problems through writing the novel. She offers to end the story in such a way. Tong Hua is surprised and thinks it will be a tragedy. She tells Yu Shengsheng to think about it.
Yu Shengsheng goes outside and stares at the stars in the sky. She tells us that the star in her mind is Jiang Yi. Jiang Yi shows up in his birthday party. He reads his book and tells his fans to light for each other. Yu Shengsheng is chosen to contact Jiang Yi because she has same birthday with him.
Yu Shengsheng runs to the stage and tells him that she’s a faithful fan of him. She promises to support him all her life. He tells her that he can achieve her dream for her. So she asks him to get married with her. He tells her that he cannot achieve the dream for her. But he wants to buy her a meal. She’s excited to hug him.
Yu Shengsheng tells Tong Hua that they made it. Tong Hua praises Yu Shengsheng for her acting skills. She tells her to return home because Shen Boqing and her families are waiting for her.
Yu Shengsheng is surprised that the birthday cake is so beautiful. She praises Tong Hua. Tong Hua brags that she picked on her own. She takes photos of Yu Shengsheng with the birthday cake. Mother tells the two to come to eat, and persuades them to wash her hands. Yu Shengsheng rejects it because she washed her hands.
Mother gets Yu Shengsheng to thank Chen Boqing for preparing for the meal. He gives Yu Shengsheng a birthday present. Yu Shengsheng tells Chief Editor that she got a interview of Jiang Yi. Chief Editor tells the colleagues to coordinate with Yu Shengsheng.
Yu Shengsheng wears a beautiful black dress to show up at the restaurant. Tong Hua texts Yu Shengsheng and asks her for getting the autograph of Jiang Yi. Yu Shengsheng promises it. Tong Hua brings the coffees to the colleagues when they work overtime for Yu Shengsheng.
Yu Shengsheng tells Tong Hua that Jiang Yi still doesn’t arrive. She thinks the band member Pei Jiashu wouldn’t be late. Yu Shengsheng texts Manager and tells him that Jiang Yi doesn’t come. She wants to leave because the restaurant is going to be closed up.
Manager goes to see Jiang Yi. Jiang Yi tells Manager to take off his shoes before he talks with him. Manager blames Jiang Yi for not showing up at the restaurant. He says that he cannot stand it, and tears up. He thinks Jiang Yi shouldn’t do that even if he robbed the girl he liked. He tells him to get someone to replace him if he doesn’t like him. Jiang Yi reveals Yu Shengsheng isn’t his fan.
Jiang Yi’s father Jiang Donghai calls him. He tells him to have meal on time but asks for some money because his sister Mo Mo wants to take piano class. But Mo Mo denies. Jiang Yi promises to give the money to Jiang Donghai. He hangs up and hears Yu Shengsheng telling Tong Hua that they made it.
Manager learns that he was tricked by Yu Shengsheng. He calls the reporter and tells her that Jiang Yi is sick. He wants to mail her some autographs of Jiang Yi. Yu Shengsheng is furious to reject it.
Yu Shengsheng arrives at the office with Tong Hua. The colleagues mock Yu Shengsheng. Yu Shengsheng asks Chief Editor for another chance. Tong Hua comforts Yu Shengsheng that everything will be fine. Manager calls Yu Shengsheng and asks her if the Weibo hot search was made by her.
