This is the recap for K-Drama The Devil Judge: Episode 1. The president Joong-Se tells people that he will give them a great nation. People like what he said and give money to him. He introduces Yo-Han to people as a great judge.
The Devil Judge: Episode 1 Recap
Note: From here on out there are specific plot spoilers for K-Drama The Devil Judge: Episode 1.
Yo-Han walks to the stage. He tells people that they’re power when the reporters worry that if he can give the justice to people. Sun-A hands over the wine to Yo-Han. She congratulates him on being star judge.
Ga-On watches Yo-Han’s speech in the train. He arrives at the building. But the bodyguard blocks his way. Ga-On shows his id card to the bodyguard. The bodyguard lets Ga-On walk into the building. Ga-On visits Jung-Ho. Jung-Ho takes Ga-On to the court. Ga-On notes that Jung-Ho doesn’t like Yo-Han at all.
Ga-On is on the way to Yo-Han’s office. He remembers Jung-Ho told him to be a spy of him. He walks into Yo-Han’s office and greets him. Yo-Han walks to Ga-On and stares at him. Ga-On notes Yo-Han’s staring. He asks him why he stares at him. Yo-Han feels sorry for doing so. He shakes hands with Ga-On.
Yo-Han returns his desk. Ga-On leaves. Yo-Han takes a look at Ga-On’s resume. He finds out that his parents got killed. Ga-On walks into his office. Jin-Joo introduces herself to him. She shakes hands with him. She shows Yo-Han’s photo to him, and tells him that Yo-Han is her idol.
Yoon-Sik meets with Yo-Han and tells him not to choose the most difficult case. But Yo-Han thinks he will be famous if he wins. The bus rushes to the gate. The bodyguard intends to shoot the driver. The kid walks across the street. But she trips. Ga-On runs to the kid to make her not get hurt.
Yo-Han shoots the seat where the driver sits. The bus turns over. Yo-Han hands over the gun to the bodyguard, and scolds him for not shooting. Ga-On runs to get into the bus. He helps the driver leave the bus when the bus is burning.
Ga-On walks alone the street in the evening. He spots a broken plant, and takes it home. Soo-Hyun shows up when he’s taking care of the plant. She asks him if he was hurt in the accident because she thinks she would go the save people. He tells her that he didn’t step in the case. She praises him.
Soo-Hyun drinks with Ga-On and asks him for treating her a meal. Because she thinks he won’t get hurt when he follows Yo-Han. She reveals Yo-Han has great stories. Ga-On agrees to what she said. He thinks he’s not same type of man like Yo-Han. Soo-Hyun tells Ga-On to move to a better community. He rejects it because his parents stayed in the house before. He asks her if she has meal well. She’s moved and thinks she will pursue him if he keeps caring for her. But he tells her not to do that because he doesn’t want to lose her.
In-Guk visits Il-Do and tells him that he will punished in prison for five years. It makes Il-Do get angry. In-Guk comforts Il-Do that he can do anything he wants after he gets released. Il-Do agrees to In-Guk’s plan. Yo-Han tries to get into his office. Ga-On stops Yo-Han. He points out that he shot the driver for stopping the bus.
Yo-Han intends to make the bus driver to be the defendant. Ga-On is against it because the driver is the victim. But Yo-Han points out that the person got other people involved. Jin-Joo watches the news. She’s told that Il-Do’s company hurt many people. She tells Ga-On that she can understand the feelings of those victims because she came from countryside.
Ga-On walks Yo-Han and asks him why he asked them to join him since he always makes the decision on his own. Yo-Han tells Ga-On that he needs someone to sit next to him because the audience is going to watch them. He gets into the car.
Ga-On asks Jung-Ho to get the key of the storeroom for him. He gets into the storeroom and finds what he wants. Ga-On goes to the restaurant with Jung-Ho. He tells him that Kyung-Hee saved Il-Do ever. Soo-Hyun drives the car at the street. She spots two thugs bullying the little girl. She points her gun at them, and tells them not to move.
The thug attacks Soo-Hyun with the umbrella when she takes care of the little girl. She takes him down and locks him up with the handcuffs. She wears the clothes for the little girl, and comforts her when the little girl is crying.
Sun-A visits Kyung-Hee and tells her that the consortium doesn’t want her to judge Il-Do. Because they think it will leave a bad impression to the other merchants. Kyung-Hee rejects it and scolds Sun-A for stepping in her business. Sun-A bows to Kyung-Hee. She tries to leave. But she turns around and reminds Kyung-Hee that everything she owes is paid by consortium.
Soo-Hyun asks Ga-On why he needs a listener. She thinks he wants to look into his girlfriend. He denies and stares at her when she wears the listener for him. She beats him and kicks him out of her room. She confesses her feelings to him after he arrived at the rooftop.
Soo-Hyun joins Ga-On and asks him if he agrees to be her boyfriend. He pretends not to hear what she said. She runs away. Yo-Han parks his car in front of the building. He gets into the building and tries to look for something. The beggar intends to beat Yo-Han. Because he just touched him. But the beggar gets defeated.
Ga-On sneaks into Yo-Han’s office. He places the listener under the table. Yo-Han walks into the office. He’s surprised to see Ga-On. Ga-On explains that he came to take book, and tries to leave. But Yo-Han stops Ga-On and tells him to iron his clothes.
Ga-On learns that Yo-Han is going to go to see the lawyer after he heard what he said. He rides his bicycle to tail him. He spots In-Guk. Ga-On reports it to Jung-Ho. Jung-Ho worries about it even if he doesn’t know what Yo-Han wants to do.
Yo-Han stares at his judge clothes. He remembers his brother who was in the flame. He wears the judge clothes and arrives at the live court with Jin-Joo and Ga-On.
