Boya is a strategic location in the world of The Prisoner of Beauty. The place is taken by Bi Zhi in episode 8. He’s the Grand Marshal of the county. Xiao Qiao has wanted to do something for Qiao family. Because she knows Wei Shao will take revenge on her family even if he’s her husband. She knows the guy wants to rule the world and Yan State will be his snack. So she planned it early. She suggested Da Qiao and Bi Zhi went to Boya in episode 4. She did it for creating a force for Qiao family.
Wei Shao knows nothing about Xiao Qiao’s plan. He’s feeling guilty for wronging his wife. He wants to spend his life with her after he realized that he loves her. But she keeps avoiding him after she knew he plans to attack her family. She forgives him in the end after he pursued her. She uses his guilt to help her brother-in-law Bi Zhi. But he finds out that Bi Zhi is the Grand Marshal of Boya. He begins to suspect his wife in The Prisoner of Beauty after Gongsun Yang hinted at him.
Xiao Qiao Knows Wei Shao Sent More Troops to Panyi
Xiao Qiao wants to live with Wei Shao in The Prisoner of Beauty episode 8. Her family delivers some fabrics to her. She wants to share the fabrics to Wei Shao. But she finds the letter of her sister Da Qiao. Da Qiao asked his father for help because Bi Zhi had a fight with the soldiers in Boya in episode 7. The general Xue Tai took his men to Boya. He’s stronger than Li Su. Da Qiao knew her husband isn’t the rival of Xue Tai. She wished her father the current lord of Yan State to do something. But her father rejected it because he worried that Wei Shao will attack them. He claimed that he’s like his father who cares for his people.
Xiao Qiao summons the envoy Zhang Pu soon. She blames him and his uncle for not going to save Bi Zhi. She reveals she plans to let Bi Zhi take Bo Ya. So they will get a new power. But Zhang Pu teases the lady that she gave a city to Wei Shao. He mentions she loves Wei Shao very much.
Xiao Qiao is told that her husband sent many soldiers to Panyi. It’s obvious that Wei Shao wants to attack Yan State. She feels sad because he wanted to rule the world when she intended to be a good wife. She decides not to give the fabrics to him. She thinks he doesn’t deserve it. She decides to use her husband to help Bi Zhi.
Wei Shao begins to suspect his mother since Xiao Qiao proved that she’s innocent. Mrs. Zhu is threatened by her son. She has to admit that she was the one who scratched the box. But she persuades to have a woman who loves him. He knows Xiao Qiao is the woman, according to her description.
The problem is that his wife has kept a distance from him. He doesn’t have a chance to apologize to her in person. He has to order her to deliver food to him. She’s in anger and she refuses to see him. She asks him to come out of his room for taking the food. He does it and he gives a present to her.
Xiao Qiao Tells Wei Shao She Missed Her Sister
Xiao Qiao is very smart. She figures out that Wei Shao wants to make up with her in The Prisoner of Beauty. She invites him to have dinner with her. She plays the Konghou in front of him. Her skill is terrible. It makes him not want to listen to the music again.
Xiao Qiao pretends to be sad. She tells her husband that she wished to send some presents to Da Qiao. She worries that Da Qiao and Bi Zhi had a hard life. Wei Shao is soft after he heard his wife’s complaint. He decides to send some presents to Da Qiao. But he doesn’t know where the couple lives. But he asks Xiao Qiao about it. He’s told that the two are in Boya. He’s shocked because he knows Bo Ya isn’t far from Panyi.
He suspects Xiao Qiao. He knows how sly the woman is. He prepares many gifts for Da Qiao. He asks Wei Xiao to escort the gifts. He tells the guy that his goal is to look into the Grand Marshal of Boya. Wei Xiao and the group arrive in Bo Ya. He discovers a wild boar. He tries to shoot the animal. But Bi Zhi shoots the wild boar before Wei Xiao.
Bi Zhi volunteers to give the prey to Wei Xiao even if he was the one who shot it. The two become good friends. Wei Xiao is surprised that the hunter is Bi Zhi. Bi Zhi takes Wei Xiao to his base. Da Qiao is very happy after she received the gifts. She reads the letter Xiao Qiao wrote to her. Xiao Qiao wishes her sister to use the power of Wei army to take Boya. Xue Tai gets the message that Wei Shao came to help Bi Zhi. He wonders if the marquis wants to take Boya after he took Panyi. He’s told the relationship of Wei Shao and Bi Zhi.
Xiao Qiao knows the shortcoming of Qiao family in The Prisoner of Beauty. There’s no man who can fight in the family. So Wei Shao bullied her family and she had to marry him for soothing him. But it’s not a long-term solution. She knows her husband very well that he will take his army to ruin Yan State for his ambition.
She has looked for a general for Qiao family. Fortunately, her son-in-law Bi Zhi is powerful. But he doesn’t have any soldier and her uncle refuses to help the guy. She cannot sleep because of it. Wei Shao has kept sending his soldiers to Panyi. He conceals it from Xiao Qiao.
She thinks he should let her know it because he’s her husband. But she knows what he did from her family. She realizes that her husband doesn’t trust her at all. So she won’t go soft. She tells her plan to Zhang Pu. But the man doesn’t believe she has the ability. He looks down on her even if she’s the lady of Qiao family.
Xiao Qiao takes action soon. She expresses it to Wei Shao that she missed her sister. She knows he will send many soldiers to escort the gifts. The soldiers will startle the enemy Xue Tai even if they don’t go to help Bi Zhi. Xiao Qiao is stronger than any man in Qiao family even if she’s a woman. She doesn’t have any soldiers. But she knows how to control battlefield. Wei Shao is sly. But he’s played by his wife. The woman knows how to make her husband work for her. She does a good job.
Does Xiao Qiao Know Bi Zhi Is the Grand Marshal of Boya?
Wei Xiao sends a message to Wei Shao after he witnessed what happened in Boya. The information is very useful in The Prisoner of Beauty. It helps Wei Shao know the enemy situation. He chooses to believe his wife even if he was told that Bi Zhi is the Grand Marshal of Boya.
Gongsun Yang is very sharp. He knows Bi Zhi will help Yan State after he takes Boya. He also knows Xiao Qiao planned it. He supported the lady many times. But he doesn’t support her this time. Because it’s related to Wei Nation. The national interests will be damaged if Xiao Qiao works.
Wei Shao is still in the tender spot. He doesn’t believe her lover would betray her even if Gongsun Yang reminded him. He’s the ruler of Wei Nation. So he questions Xiao Qiao about it. Xiao Qiao is shocked. It seems that she doesn’t know Bi Zhi is the Grand Marshal of Boya.

She’s very timid and she only wants to live a quiet life with Bi Zhi. She’s selfish. She doesn’t know her father is scared every day because of Wei Shao.
