The Prisoner of Beauty is popular because of the lead roles Wei Shao and Xiao Qiao. Fans enjoy it when they watch the two fight. Xiao Qiao isn’t afraid of power when she faces the ruler. She can always find a way to provoke him. Wei Shao is rude to his wife. But he shows care sometimes. The couple doesn’t live together. But Wei Shao wants to take back his territory in episode 9. Xiao Qiao lets him win this time. She acquiesces to it when her husband wants to live with her.
Wei Shao has lived alone because he’s haunted by the nightmare. He keeps seeing his family killed. It’s a hard decision to him. Because Xiao Qiao will know the nightmare since they’re going to live together. But he has to do it after he found out that his wife played with him and she helped Qiao family. He realizes that he knows nothing about his wife in The Prisoner of Beauty. He thinks the best way to watch a woman is to live with her. He doesn’t expect that she comforts him when He’s haunted by the nightmare.
Xiao Qiao Helps Qiao Family Put Up A Flag in Boya
Wei Shao thinks he’s the controller in him and Xiao Qiao’s relationship. He keeps suppressing Qiao family and he sent troops to Panyi. His intention is obvious. He plans to attack Qiao family one day. He thinks Xiao Qiao is a weak woman. He doesn’t know it’s just her disguise. She plans it under his eyes and she helps her family get a new base. The base can make up for the loss of Panyi.
Wei Shao sent the general Wei Qu to Boya for giving presents to Da Qiao in The Prisoner of Beauty episode 8. Wei Qu unites with Bi Zhi in episode 9. They lead the troops and they hunt in the forest. The general of Bian State Xue Tai has kept an eye on them since Wei Qu came. He discovers the arrowhead Wei Qu left. He mistakes that Wei Shao wants to help Bi Zhi. He has to take his army to retreat.
The danger still exists even if Xue Tai left. Da Qiao thinks they should put up a flag so that others forces won’t attack them. Wei Qu wants to put up Wei family’s flag. But he remembers Wei Shao didn’t wish others to think that he wants to take Boya. He doesn’t go against it when Da Qiao offers to put up Qiao family’s flag. Da Qiao and Bi Zhi give the general a lot of rice and meat for thanking him.
But Wei Qu is punished by Wei Shao after he returned to Fishing City. He blames him for his incompetence and he thinks he should use his force to put up the flag of Wei family. He knows it very well that Xiao Qiao is the mastermind. He cannot change the fact that Boya belongs to Qiao family. He decides to attack Xiaogang for dealing with Bi Zhi.
He’s surprised that his wife is so sly. He learns that she has concealed her true face. He remembers she pretended to innocent when he asked her if she’s interested in Boya. She said that her sister and her brother-in-law had to live in Boya because they have nowhere to go. She’s the best actress and she should win an Oscar.
It’s all clear that Xiao Qiao is a liar. She used Wei Shao’s compassion for achieving her goal. Da Qiao and Bi Zhi were her accomplices. Wei Shao was played by his wife as the ruler of Wei Nation. He orders his followers not to contact Qiao family. Because he thinks they will be silly if they do so.
Xiao Qiao Admits her Guilt But She Doesn’t Feel Ashamed
Wei Shao knows who’s the real culprit in The Prisoner of Beauty episode 9. He decides to go to question her wife. But he prepares a meal for Xiao Qiao first. He asks the chef to cook the rice and the meat Wei Qu took back from Boya.
Xiao Qiao attends the banquet. She doesn’t know his husband has known her evil plan. He claims that he prepared the meal for thanking her for making him shoes. He keeps putting the meat into her bowl when she cannot eat that much. He speaks out his goal.
Xiao Qiao is questioned if she taught her sister to take Boya. She admits it. Wei Shao gets angry because he thinks what his wife did to him are fake. But she thinks it’s nothing that Bi Zhi put up the flag of Qiao family. Because Qiao family and Wei family are allies. She asks her husband if he married her for acting.
Wei Shao is very strong. He wants to seize the initiative in the marriage. Xiao Qiao is soft in his mind. But he doesn’t know she’s strong as well. She thinks she did nothing wrong for guarding her family. But it’s not what he wants to see. He wishes her wife to loyal to him. So he asked her to only be the daughter-in-law of Wei family. But she married him for helping Qiao family.
She thinks it makes no difference that which family gets Boya. But he overreacts. She confirms that he doesn’t treat her family as his family. She knows he will attack her family one day. It’s not what she wants to see. She’s ready to fight him. She doesn’t want to be defeat. So she will try her best to win. She makes a plan after she knew he’s going to go to take the city Xiaogang. She asks Zhang Pu to tell Da Qiao and Bi Zhi to take City Lian. She wishes the two to dig a secret passage in the city. The secret passage can transfer the soldiers of Yan State to Xiaogang.
Wei Shao has no chance of winning even if he takes Xiaogang. He takes the city for dealing with Boya. But his wife comes up with another way. She targets City Lian. The Prisoner of Beauty is so charming because of the couple. Xiao Qiao and Wei Shao are very smart. They treat each other as rivals even if they’re couple.
Wei Shao Lives with Xiao Qiao
Wei Shao moved out after he took Xiao Qiao home. Because she was sick. She recovers and he thinks it’s time to live with her. He makes the decision after he took Xiaogang in The Prisoner of Beauty episode 9. He tells his decision to the four generals. The four generals begin to carry Wei Shao’s stuff into Xiao Qiao’s room.
Xiao Tao tries to stop the four rude men. But Wei Liang claims that Wei Shao and Xiao Qiao are couple. He thinks it’s reasonable that the master and the madam live together. Xiao Zao complains it to Xiao Qiao. But Xiao Qiao accepts the fact that she and Wei Shao live together. She thinks she should step back since she took Boya.
She makes the decision because Wei Shao’s grandma persuaded her. Mrs. Xu hates Qiao family. But she wishes her grandson to forget the resentment. She let Xiao Qiao marry Wei Shao for achieving the goal. So she asked Xiao Qiao to get along with Wei Shao well.
Xiao Qiao has remembered Mrs. Xu’s words. So she doesn’t scold Wei Shao when he points his sword at her. She knows he has a nightmare because he lost his grandfather. She hugs him for comforting him when she’s afraid of the dark. She leaves after he woke up in the morning. She goes to see his teacher. Because she wants to know what kind of person Wei Shao is.
Xiao Qiao changes her attitude after Wei Shao’s grandma persuaded her. She knows it from Gongsun Yang that her husband is a good man. The guy was cold to her because of the resentment. Xiao Qiao tries to understand her husband. It’s a good step.
It will be a long process that Wei Shao forgets the revenge. But he has to do it. Xiao Qiao’s grandfather and Li Su are dead. The enemies who killed his grandfather are gone. Why is he obsessed with the hate? He should accept Xiao Qiao so that he will get the happiness.
