Song Haien reports to Princess that Madam Feng confessed she told it to her husband Du Meng. Wang Xuan tells Song Haien to make Du Meng see Madam Feng. Du Meng intends to flee. But he’s caught at the street.
Wang Xuan packs her stuff. Xiao Qi hugs her. She tells him that she feels uncomfortable when he hugs her. Because his body is cold. He asks her where she wants to go. She says that she wants to leave with him, and mentions he’s going to take the troops to the south.
Xiao Qi tells Princess that he will get Song Huaien to escort her to the capital. Wang Xuan thinks Xiao Qi wants to abandon her again, and asks what she is to him. He gives the letter of her father to her. She reads the letter and knows that her mother is sick.
Wang Xuan tells Xiao Qi that she prefers his father tricked her than something happened on her mother. Xiao Qi tells Wang Xuan to face it because the two are her parents. He wishes it’s not true, and worries that she will regret all her life if he doesn’t let her leave.
Wang Xuan realizes the reason Xiao Qi didn’t want her to read the letter. She says that he took down his business and took her to grassland. She tells him that she cannot forget the day.
Princess visits Du Meng in the jail. He greets her. She doesn’t expect that the assassin was him. He reminds her that her father took away all of the positions of Xie family. She thinks it wasn’t the reason making him assassinate Yuzhang Prince.
Du Meng tells Wang Xuan that he did it for getting rid of the rebel of Da Cheng. She asks him if he sees the rebel who protects the nation. He thinks Xiao Qi has to be dead because he’s the son-in-law of Wang Lin. He laughs and says that he only wants to die.
Princess wonders who is the person behind Xie Yuan. Xiao Qi hints her that person who could dispatch Xu Shou and Du Meng. Wang Xuan thinks it was her uncle the Emperor. She thinks it’s not possible because Emperor has favored her. She says that he wouldn’t let her get any hurt.
Xiao Qi agrees to what Wang Xuan says, and reveals Emperor cannot run the business after he was poisoning. She wonders who is the person. He says that he doesn’t know it because there’re many people who want him to die. She learns that he’s very important. He points out that the military leadership is very important.
