This is the recap for The Rebel Princess Chinese Drama: Episode 3. Zi Tan goes to see his mother Consort Xie. She asks him about his injury and wants to take a look. He says that he’s cured, and tells her not to worry about him. She thinks Empress did it because only Xie family can hurt Crown Prince.

Consort Xie tells Zi Tan that he and Princess’s love made Empress angry. He comforts her that he will be careful not to make anyone take the chance. She tells him that he won’t have any live path if Crown Prince gets the throne. The maid reports to Consort Xie that Elder Princess visited her.
Wang Xuan tells Xie Wanru that she wants to go to see Zi Tan. Xie Wanru tells Wang Xuan that Zi Tan understands it, and thinks they should be patient. Wang Xuan asks Xie Wanru if she will come when she gets married. Xie Wanru thinks she should accompany Zi Tan because she belongs to Xie family.
Princess tells Xie Wanru that she treats her as family. She tells her not to take Zi Tan’s side if he bullies her. Xie Wanru thinks Wang Xuan wants to get married instantly. She thinks she has no shame. Wang Xuan tells Xie Wanru that she knows what is shame when she finds someone she loves. Xie Wanru reveals she’s going to get married.
Consort Xie tells Elder Princess that she couldn’t sleep after knowing Wang Xuan and Zi Tan got attacked. Elder Princess says that she wants to kill the person who did it. Consort Xie gives the bracelet to Elder Princess and promises that Zi Tan won’t disappoint Wang Xuan. Elder Princess reveals she wants to ask Emperor for the marriage. Consort Xie wants to join Elder Princess. Elder Princess thinks it will be good.
Wang Xuan notes that Xie Wanru isn’t happy, and asks her who she is going to get married with. Xie Wanru reveals the person is Xiao Qi, and complains that she needs to marry poor clan since she’s the daughter of Xie family. Wang Xuan persuades Xie Wanru that Xiao Qi is the big hero of Great Cheng. She thinks he’s better than those nobles.
Xie Wanru tells Princess that her father said that he will tie her up if she doesn’t marry Xiao Qi. Wang Xuan asks Xie Wanru if she saw him, and reveals Xiao Qi is a man with three heads and six arms. Xie Wanru tells Wang Xuan not to startle her. She adds that Emperor will welcome Qiao Qi. She wants to go to take a look. But she says that females aren’t allowed to attend the city gate ceremony. Wang Xuan says that she has ways.
Wang Xuan visits Wang Su when he’s drawing the beauty. She asks him to take her and Xie Wanru to the ceremony. He tells her to see Xiao Qi at the palace banquet. She is against it and thinks Xiao Qi will wear a mask there.
